Longevity is the key to success in the music industry these days & considering how long John has been around, the man has longevity in BUCKETS just oozing out of him. I've lost count of the number of his concerts I've been to but whenever he ended it with this classic, you just KNEW it was indeed a "show" 👍👍👍👍 I always used to love the lighthearted cracks about his mother in law also (the dragon lady) 😂😂😂😂
Why do people get so upset when a cover song is played differently than the original? That's why covers are so great; they're a new twist on an old tune! Fucking great cover!!
Why should they feel ashamed? You have missed the 'musical' point. I think it's clever to amalgamate a great rock song with a great orchestra and one of Aussies finest rock vocalists ever! The only thing that is an issue is the lack of real bagpipes as the synth sounds just don't cut it. Seeing as the pipes can really only play in Bb and the original song is in A I guess it's difficult. There is nothing wrong with this version apart from that.

Look at the Melbourne Symphony orchestra's face. "Best day at work ever" Brett Garsed, rated one of the best in the world guitarists. David Hirshfelder now a Hollywood score composer. Vanetta Field. Was an Ikette with TIna Turner. All love AC/DC they are all having a blast and have talent and the whole Rod laver arena is on its feet

Agreed, very few male singers can/could ever reach John's voice. Even live he hits soaring notes time and time again. A truly amazing singer

Pretty sure cos Bon Scott’s voices is different to Farnhams (though he probably could have sung it in the higher key)
The original was in B flat as that’s the only key the bagpipes play in. Using the keytar instead eliminates that necessity.
