  • Many people on the healing journey define themselves by their trauma due to persistent negative thinking and self-defeating behaviors. While becoming healed is not an overnight process, it is important not to fall into the trap of identifying with the traumatized version of oneself. This is because we are more than our trauma and the healed version of ourselves truly exists.
    Recommended steps (in no specific order):
    1. Getting knowledge related to your trauma/limiting beliefs (causes, symptoms)
    2. Releasing trauma through somatic therapy/experiencing
    3. Change your self-concept (how you feel about yourself, healthier behaviors)
    4. A relationship with God + prayer practice

    For your self-concept, you don't have to read them every day if that feels too forced for you, but you can write them down and review them when you feel down. They are valuable to write down as they can also be a form of intention setting.
