  • I would like your opinion on this type of photo-book video. What do you think about it?
I have tens of thousands of photographs taken while travelling and I think such a video could be useful to get an idea of places and details, even when modelling scenery or adding characters to your layout, like the resting permanent way workers at 0:52!
Let me know in the comments.

On a German layout I've seen such a scene as the one at 0:52, just it wasn't a worker resting, but a drunkard lying on his back, lol. The allurement of the scene consisted in the fact it was the first era, like jusr before 1900s, lol, some like one of German royal state companies themed layout. The photo-book type of video is very good and useful, for the reasons you already mentioned it. For example, the maintenance draisine at 1:25 has different bodywork shapes, in fact the variant in this video would be easier to built in styrene, as it has more plane surfaces then its "sisters". (A Lima ringfield motorized bogey would be excellent for such a little vehicle). Thanks for the video, Patrick, have a fine evening!

@@Cristake1974 yes, I was thinking about that draisine, it's much flatter than the standard one that has the roof and screens of the DAC/Rocat 112 UDM bus. I'll post that photo on Instagram and on a status post here.
