Completely agree, especially with the comment about the chateau. Unnecessarily tedious, it didn’t require skill. And multiple times some dumb idiot ruined my progress. Or when the weather didn’t line up. Was only possible when it was foggy.
Ironically I think this gun has one of the slowest draw speeds of any pistol. As a result it's pretty bad at most of the stuff you'd typically use a sidearm for, so I think this gun is better used as essentially your primary weapon most of the time. It's fun to use it on assault with the frommer auto, because your primary and secondary roles basically switch
I've had the Peacekeeper for several years now and, although I no longer play, I never had any issue with draw speed. Hell, I shot down an airplane with mine.
@@GreatNinjaman well anti air doesn't exactly fall into the "typical sidearm use" category I was talking about. I mainly use sidearms for when an enemy is outside my primary's effective range, an enemy pops up too close for my primary, or as a finisher when my primary mag runs empty, and for those uses the peacekeeper definitely suffers due to the long draw animation
@@GreatNinjaman And I'm not saying it's ineffective, just saying there are better options for the typical sidearm role. If you lead with it instead of swapping to it yes it's one of the better options in that slot.

I gave up with that puzzle. I looked up guide after guide on how to do it and still couldn’t figure it out. I got close as hell one time but fucked it up by one light and couldn’t get it back on.
When I was trying to do this I got to the Zeebrugge morse code part and could not do it. Then some random dude from the Battlefield Eastern Egg team happened to join my lobby and helped me do it. Could not have done it without him. Don't know where you are man, but thank you so much.
Personally I think the only one that requires patience is the sandbag puzzle, and perhaps putting in some of the longer number sequences. If you decide to try the grind at some point you'll be able to do it easily, I believe in you.
I managed to unlock this a couple of years ago. Some challenges i had to on Japanese empty servers (particularly the chateau puzzle - "A Conflict" dogtag ), since in Europe i always had problems with other people joining in and ruining my stuff - even at highly unusual hours. Nowadays it should be easier to find a quiet place to do the challenges, as people moved on to other games.
@@Lithane97 It's shockingly active. As far as I know its regarded as the last good BF since BFV and 2042 flopped horribly. The atmosphere is unmatched.
@Jason C I got trolled when I tried to do the MG Skin. Though a bunch of times random people kept joining the server and did stupid stuff I screamed at them in chat. Then they disappeared. Luckily.
Those shrieks at Caporetto after you unlock that particular dogtag made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. And man, that task in the Chateau at Soissons trying to get all the lights on the floor to match up was crazy time consuming. I have some videos on my channel detailing my quest to unlock the Peacekeeper too.
Tip for tunnels: Stand on the rocks/dirt near the lever you pull, so you stay behind when the trap door opens. the game will teleport you and you will end up taking less damage than if you would have were you to fall weird. I died 3 times to insta-kill 100 damage falls before this was revealed to me
The true beauty of the Peacekeeper is not the damage, but the accuracy. It's the best pistol to use at range. Headshots are common when you really start to abuse it.
I remember how much time I spent getting this. Writing down codes and patterns while helping other people get theirs. In the end it taught me stuff like basic decoding and even recording videos and audio with different programs which Im kind of thankful for. The gun is not easy to use but so rewarding when you go on crazy streaks like a gunslinger.
Your easter egg hunts are a nice fresh breath of air you know. I wish you did more and the effort and hours you put into this is insane and so appreciated, man!
This is, in my opinion, the best easter egg ever made in the game and given to us by the old DICE devs. Searching for places, recording clips on a flash drive from the console and uploading to the Mors alphabet program on PC to finally get a revolver! When I play BF1 I always have it as a secondary weapon 💪
Going through those steps of translating Morse code just to be unnecessarily and pointlessly stopped and forced to restart by a random troll kinda deserves verbal abuse
TBAG: thank you! You just inspired me to boot back up Battlefield 1 and complete the last steps I had left in order to unlock this thing. After years of trying, I am now the proud-owner of my very own Peacekeeper (in-game). Thank you so much man, you’re the best!
For last 2 years I was contemplating on joining a clan and suddenly Yesterday some reatarded neck beard petty man who recently joined BoB kicked a lot of us from server it inspired me to join BoB and within 15 minutes I joined the clan and was able to kick that petty man out. It's quite a good thing to get inspired from such events.

@@rigel8755 :) I know right. On the quest to get the peacekeeper the third time on the console I thought at one point I have no life 😂 but my friends appreciated it.
I got legit ptsd from doing all the Morse code for this gun. I had my laptop, my phone, audacity and my Xbox all working together to figure it out. My brain was mush by the end but worth it. Congrats bro for getting the Peacekeeper. On to the next one!
Hardest for me was An Escalation skin. No less than 10 tries did someone join with a plane, destroy the lighthouse and quit again. And huge shout out to the BFEE community. Took around 10 hours of game play across three days to get it. Now it's all i use, up to four service stars with it.

Oh my god I remember grinding this so hard. For the silver dogtag I had absolutely no idea how to do it and thankfully one person joined my game and did it all for me so I would like to thank him again here on yt. Wont give away his name but still such a nice person. All the others I did myself because they werent really that hard.
I remember it took me about 6 months of grinding for the phantom bow in BF4. With working and kids and all you know, life. When I finally got it I was so happy. Then DICE released it to the public like 3 weeks later.
I did this in 2 days. Granted my friend who did this first back as theses steps were being released, kinda held my hand through it. I gave him the Morse code, he gave me the translation, and followed him all over the maps. Loved the pistol ever since. The tunnel SUCKED so hard that I had to get the support perk that makes you walk faster with your wrench out in order to make it. Wanted to scream with joy once I got it but my dad was asleep
Amazing job Tbag. 6 years is really long time but now you have it and you can enjoy the animations. It took me 3 days to get it. (Yes i did it in 3 days because i dont have proper life lol)
Sometimes i wish the animations were toned down. It takes forever for the guy to spin the revolver and when i pull it out to finish someone off i get shot, and the guy is flinging it around lol
As someone who played on Xbox without a pc back when the peacekeeper first came out. I had to write all this Morse Code on a paper and hope I didn’t get it wrong for when I used the websites from the Jackfrags videos. Honestly I wish more games had crazy Easter eggs to get cool weapons like the Peacekeeper.
I like how they add a Wild West peacemaker, manufactured by colt, was used for the United States Calvary. Fun gun, I own a replica type revolver like that shoots bullets of course
They read the code of the game, that's actually the reason this is as difficult to do as it is, most easter eggs get found out day one because all you have to do is read game files, so devs have to find other ways to still make it feel challenging and rewarding when every single person is just reading a guide to do it, even the people who first found it. With the amount of tools available to modern easter egg hunters there's really no meaningful way for them to be secret anymore, they have to be puzzles for you to work out, it's like how CoD zombies has transitioned from easter eggs that give you a gun or something to "easter eggs" that are literally just the win state for the map lol(honestly I'm not even sure stuff like that or this peacekeeper challenge even really counts as an easter egg by the definitions I grew up with), real easter eggs, stuff devs hide for players to maybe stumble on to, no longer exist, with code diggers and emulators/cheats that allow you to explore the game in ways the devs didn't even intend plus the just general community around this stuff now there's no way for any "raw" easter egg like that to ever stay hidden for more than a few weeks or meaningfully impact a player who finds out about it because of a reddit post. (also I'm sorry but this is also why there's no final secret in og Shadow of the Colossus, people have literally analyzed every single square micron of that game that the devs literally hired one of the primary glitch hunters to help make sure they were redoing the world correctly on the remaster lmao. And when they actually put a secret in that game it got figured out in a few days. there's nothing else lurking in that game anymore, it's the most analyzed video game in history, it would have been found)
It took me two days to unlock mine. Im still using the revolver especially in close quarters deathmatch, it absolutely wrecks people. The reload is quite ling though so be careful not to be trigger happy.
this is truly one of the most beautiful and bloody easter eggs ever made in bf history. i loved the decoding part, but only since there are full guides on how to do it. could've never figured it out on my own :D

1- Random dude joins the server and destroys the machines
Love how there's just a massive "SIMPS" message on the floor next to the peacekeeper 😂
Congrats. Personally I found that light floor puzzle the most difficult. I would use it more but the equip time tends to get me killed more than anything.
I noticed that mashing the fire button while drawing it gets it out faster
I gave up with that puzzle. I looked up guide after guide on how to do it and still couldn’t figure it out. I got close as hell one time but fucked it up by one light and couldn’t get it back on.
The light puzzle almost made me give up but the Battlefield Easter Egg discord helped me finish it
@@MyProGamer10 I legit gave up and then ran around for 40min doing it randomly and finally got it XD
i got lucky cause someone did it for me xd
When I was trying to do this I got to the Zeebrugge morse code part and could not do it. Then some random dude from the Battlefield Eastern Egg team happened to join my lobby and helped me do it. Could not have done it without him. Don't know where you are man, but thank you so much.
Really wish I had the patience to do this, way to go dude!
Personally I think the only one that requires patience is the sandbag puzzle, and perhaps putting in some of the longer number sequences. If you decide to try the grind at some point you'll be able to do it easily, I believe in you.
it's is weird how wholesome and angry Tbag can be.
angry is an understatement

The peacekeeper is so hard to get because the creators want you to experience the endless futility and vanity of WWI yourself.
Yes, but what about the ostrich?
I think they want you to experience what it's like to bring some women to orgasm
They also call you "SIMPS"
Like, seriously? Right in front of my peacekeeper?
I managed to unlock this a couple of years ago. Some challenges i had to on Japanese empty servers (particularly the chateau puzzle - "A Conflict" dogtag ), since in Europe i always had problems with other people joining in and ruining my stuff - even at highly unusual hours. Nowadays it should be easier to find a quiet place to do the challenges, as people moved on to other games.
Honestly surprised they still host servers for this game, haven't thought about it in years.
@@Lithane97 It's shockingly active. As far as I know its regarded as the last good BF since BFV and 2042 flopped horribly. The atmosphere is unmatched.
@@kre1187 Its really popular in Japan as well ... Well it got some players there.
@@kre1187 BFV is still active in Asia. In some JP servers, they even made a bot that automatically detects cheats and hacks.

Congrats! Now rank every bf1 worst to best video from worst to best

thats a pretty crazy and fun unlock. There is no way that anyone could figure this out without being told by the programmers first.
Welcome to the peacekeeper club bro, glad to have you!

I've always loved this in BF games. Got some great memories doing that in BF4, spending time with friends unlocking weapons one by one :')

I love my peacekeeper. I ended up actually unlock the gun three times, twice on pc for a friend and myself and a third time on PlayStation for another mate. Congratulations on unlocking it best hand gun in bf1!
Damn, did they pay you? XD
@@rigel8755 :) I know right. On the quest to get the peacekeeper the third time on the console I thought at one point I have no life 😂 but my friends appreciated it.

@@forevernight9282 can you help me with the albion morse code for the escalation skin it is so hard.
I got legit ptsd from doing all the Morse code for this gun. I had my laptop, my phone, audacity and my Xbox all working together to figure it out. My brain was mush by the end but worth it. Congrats bro for getting the Peacekeeper. On to the next one!
At 03:25, It was so hilarious that I was about to die because of laughing. Don't watch it while eating or drinking 😂😂
The Censoring is what gets me the most
Hardest for me was An Escalation skin. No less than 10 tries did someone join with a plane, destroy the lighthouse and quit again. And huge shout out to the BFEE community. Took around 10 hours of game play across three days to get it. Now it's all i use, up to four service stars with it.

Such a great Easter egg. Got this gun 2 years ago or so. Currently at 49 service stars. I think it's my most used gun
@@Lardbeane Jack Ftags has a great guide and there are some guides. I used audacity to record the Morse.
There are Morse decode sites that let you upload audo. That way you don't have to look for the dots and dashed in audacity
@@Lardbeane You can try learning Morse code by ear. I randomly decided to start a few weeks before I heard about this Easter egg, so I was able to do the Morse code part relatively easily
1:34 No. The code is "It is sweet and beautiful to die for"
Oh... good old times. I remember doing all of the easter eggs unlocks when they were found and getting the revolver was not the most satisfying. It was the one for "A Beginning" dog tag and for "A Conflict " dog tags. So many morse code messages and getting the floor to light up.. it was awesome
A beginning took me like 6 hours and I gave up on getting the other two dog tags for so long
Oh my god I remember grinding this so hard.
7:25 bro be spitting some facts
I still consider this to be one of my best gaming achievements to date. Battlefield 1 remains having some of the best Easter eggs I’ve ever seen.

Always big props to the Easter Egg Community for the enormous amount of time it takes to find stuff like this.
do you remember? `when you could still unlock cool things in the game.. and not everything is barricaded behind a shop.
Good old times..
3:20 got me dead tbag got on his ahh lol
1:22 nicely done bro w/that plug. 👍🤣
Back when Dice cared about Easter Eggs, replayability, and...well everything.

Very time consuming but really fun ! Done it twice , once for myself and the second for another player .. I can still hear the dots and dashes
I admire what you did for our entertainment. I love watching easter eggs, but I would not go through all the steps myself I believe.
3:50 you can use the machines even when they are destroyed, but the light doesnt work so its kinda hard
I remember my grind for the peacekeeper, I took a year long break half way through but I got it done. By far one if the best easter eggs in gaming!
if anything decoding the morse is what turned *ALOT* of people off. I had to save clips on ps4 then move them to my PC to decode them
12:59 kinda kills me he did all that to get called a simp
I like how they add a Wild West peacemaker, manufactured by colt, was used for the United States Calvary. Fun gun, I own a replica type revolver like that shoots bullets of course
Was looking this comment to second that gun is indeed peacemaker not peacekeeper. Peacekeeper is later revolver made by colt.
@@TK-kd2hr Right I said peacekeeper, oh and btw they could’ve used both In battle, because WW1 started in 1914.

Fun fact, the morse code latin message translates to "It is sweet and proper to die for ones country."
How did people even find all this... that's insane!
Even following a tutorial this is a literal MISSION to unlock 🤣
seriously, it's more ridiculous than most _dedicated_ adventure games i've played
More difficult puzzles than this?! maybe in Myst...
well from reading game files
This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20.

"IT IS SWEET AND HONORABLE TO DIE FOR THE FATHERLAND"
No? It means it is sweet and fitting to die for ones country
I just finished this yesterday and during the 3rd Easter egg someone joined in rammed a plane into the lighthouse then left, and on the fourth one someone joined broke all the machines then left also, but the peacekeeper is so worth it easily the coolest gun in the game just by animations.
Another thing about this revolver is the kills to get service stars are cut in half. I believe it’s only 50 for 1 star instead of 100
I have 70 kills with the peacekeeper and i didnt receive any service star
Getting this was anxiety driven for me, but damn Peacekeeper is so much fun.
Having it during peak BF1 was awesome. BFV and 2042 were let downs...
