Everytime I listen to this, if I can I'll close my eyes, imagine finding a place that is absolutely beyond the world we live in. A secret passage. A new universe. I put it all together and I wish I could share it with everyone. I am planning to write a book of my own someday. Songs like these inspire me to let me imagination take the wheel, because I may have not been blessed with a witty brain or informative nature, but this mind that can imagine a new world.

For those of you confused about the movie people are talking about, this is the theme song for the upcoming movie Ready Player One. It takes place in 2045, in a world struggling with pollution, corruption, overpopulation, climate change, global warmth and so on. To escape the dying world, people log onto a virtual reality universe called the OASIS. The OASIS was invented by a man named James Donovan Halliday and is used as virtual society for school, business and entertainment. When Halliday dies, he reveals in his will that he hid an Easter Egg treasure in the OASIS. Whoever obtains three hidden keys (the Copper Key, the Jade Key, and the Crystal Key) and uses them to clear three gates can uncover the egg. In order to find them, the person needs knowledge of 1980s pop culture, the era Halliday grew up in. The prize of finding the egg is Halliday's billion dollar fortune and complete control over the OASIS. The story follows the adventures of an 18 year old kid named Wade Owen Watts. Under the username Parzival, Wade becomes the first person to obtain the first key leading to the treasure. Now he must race against the clock to find the keys, clear the gates and find the Easter Egg as rival gunters (abbreviation for egg hunter) and a company called IOI hunt for the treasure and seek domination over the OASIS. This movie was just a pure blast, the Iron Giant and Gundam parts were the best, and the classic horror movie they visit (I wont spoil what it is), but it's great and spooky lol

Pov: you are walking down the street of a busy city at night, the clouds flow by over head as you walk back to your apartment. Lights dance on screens as cars roar by. music can be heard from all around you, but one song in particular stands out to you. You look around for the location but see nothing but empty buildings and strangers crossing paths for what could be the last time. Sounds begin to blend together as you stand on the sidewalk, desperately looking for the one that captivates you. Suddenly the song location becomes clear as you bring your attention to a building, specifically the top of the building. You saw a person holding what looked as to be a violin. You wondered how such a small instrument could play such beautifully loud music. Your sight was still captured by this magic-music-player as you realized you had been standing there staring for over 10 minutes. I began to get chilly so you zipped up your jacket, reluctant to move in fear of the person to disappear. Speaking of the music, it had stopped. You whipped you head up to the rooftop expecting the person to be gone, but they remained. They gazed out over the city, leaning over the edge as they looked. Just then their eyes met yours and both of you stilled. The world seemed to pause, if only for a moment, as you looked into each others eyes. It was dark so you could just barley make out their face, but there seemed to be a smile upon them. They gestured for you to meet them up their with their hand. You thought this over for a second before deciding to follow the direction and raced to cross the street. You entered the building and seen that it was a hotel. Finding your way to the stairs, you raced up. By the time you reached the 15th floor you were getting tired. You finally reached the last floor, the 32nd, and paused at the door, catching your breath. You turned the door knob and stepped onto the high rooftop. Wait... where were they? The person was gone. You scanned the area and found nobody, nothing but a strange violin resting on a chair. You picked up the violin and held it in your hands. Suddenly a screen popped up in front of you, you nearly fell over in surprise. As you regained you balance, still clutching onto the violin, you read the floating screen: >Continue? >Quit
Personally, I thought the movie was enjoyable (though the avatar designs were very appalling and there were plenty of stupid moments that didn't really seem to fit the characters) and I'd probably watch it again if I felt bored. However, I am of the opinion that the book is...pretty mediocre at least. There are a lot of things suggesting how it's just a way for the writer to ejaculate his nostalgia into a fanfiction-esque story and get praise for being into things that everyone else was into. Take away the pop culture stuff, and the story and characters are pretty uninteresting and cliched.

I remember seeing the trailer for this movie and instantly loved this version of the song playing. I don't know why it just sounded really cool to me. And now I'm coming back to it like 3 years later.

For those of you confused about the movie people are talking about, this is the theme song for the upcoming movie Ready Player One. It takes place in 2045, in a world struggling with pollution, corruption, overpopulation, climate change, global warmth and so on. To escape the dying world, people log onto a virtual reality universe called the OASIS. The OASIS was invented by a man named James Donovan Halliday and is used as virtual society for school, business and entertainment. When Halliday dies, he reveals in his will that he hid an Easter Egg treasure in the OASIS. Whoever obtains three hidden keys (the Copper Key, the Jade Key, and the Crystal Key) and uses them to clear three gates can uncover the egg. In order to find them, the person needs knowledge of 1980s pop culture, the era Halliday grew up in. The prize of finding the egg is Halliday's billion dollar fortune and complete control over the OASIS. The story follows the adventures of an 18 year old kid named Wade Owen Watts. Under the username Parzival, Wade becomes the first person to obtain the first key leading to the treasure. Now he must race against the clock to find the keys, clear the gates and find the Easter Egg as rival gunters (abbreviation for egg hunter) and a company called IOI hunt for the treasure and seek domination over the OASIS. Wade thinks its all just a race until he discovers that IOI is willing to kill actual users in reality to reach the egg. The movie is based off of Ernest Cline's book of the same name and the movie comes out on March 29 2018.

This movie was just a pure blast, the Iron Giant and Gundam parts were the best, and the classic horror movie they visit (I wont spoil what it is), but it's great and spooky lol
yeah... though the book was supposed to be ultraman... gundam is way cooler! i can imagine how much was paid for all the royalties i guess, to be allowed to use it in the movie... i liked the movie but i love the book way much more

Pov: you are walking down the street of a busy city at night, the clouds flow by over head as you walk back to your apartment. Lights dance on screens as cars roar by. music can be heard from all around you, but one song in particular stands out to you. You look around for the location but see nothing but empty buildings and strangers crossing paths for what could be the last time. Sounds begin to blend together as you stand on the sidewalk, desperately looking for the one that captivates you. Suddenly the song location becomes clear as you bring your attention to a building, specifically the top of the building. You saw a person holding what looked as to be a violin. You wondered how such a small instrument could play such beautifully loud music. Your sight was still captured by this magic-music-player as you realized you had been standing there staring for over 10 minutes. I began to get chilly so you zipped up your jacket, reluctant to move in fear of the person to disappear. Speaking of the music, it had stopped. You whipped you head up to the rooftop expecting the person to be gone, but they remained. They gazed out over the city, leaning over the edge as they looked. Just then their eyes met yours and both of you stilled. The world seemed to pause, if only for a moment, as you looked into each others eyes. It was dark so you could just barley make out their face, but there seemed to be a smile upon them. They gestured for you to meet them up their with their hand. You thought this over for a second before deciding to follow the direction and raced to cross the street. You entered the building and seen that it was a hotel. Finding your way to the stairs, you raced up. By the time you reached the 15th floor you were getting tired. You finally reached the last floor, the 32nd, and paused at the door, catching your breath. You turned the door knob and stepped onto the high rooftop. Wait... where were they? The person was gone. You scanned the area and found nobody, nothing but a strange violin resting on a chair. You picked up the violin and held it in your hands. Suddenly a screen popped up in front of you, you nearly fell over in surprise. As you regained you balance, still clutching onto the violin, you read the floating screen:

Personally, I thought the movie was enjoyable (though the avatar designs were very appalling and there were plenty of stupid moments that didn't really seem to fit the characters) and I'd probably watch it again if I felt bored. However, I am of the opinion that the book is...pretty mediocre at least. There are a lot of things suggesting how it's just a way for the writer to ejaculate his nostalgia into a fanfiction-esque story and get praise for being into things that everyone else was into. Take away the pop culture stuff, and the story and characters are pretty uninteresting and cliched.
