Also I’ve never said this but have thought it many times, I love how innocent you are when your tone changes when speaking of the physical qualities of a book, when the qualities are below par you have a certain kind haughtyness that is charming and relatable but never obnoxious by any means

I'd be very happy if you would make a video about your occult books collection and also another video about how your interest has started, which books help you most at the beginning. Thank you for sharing these with us! I can't wait for the new uploads!

Denis Poisson Firstly, thank you for this reply, the list is amazing and I only know Duquette’s books in this list; I’ll definitely check out the rest of it.
You’d assume I’ve read the Bible but I was raised in an Islamic country.
I’ve always been a “spiritual” person and a dream might be the reason I’ve become interested in esoteric subjects (and terrified at the same time as a teen) Manly P.Hall’s Secret Teachings of All Ages was my first book..
Lately, The Glitch Bottle is my favorite podcast while I drive to work everyday :)

@@FoolishFishBooks I am actually confused which version of the Holy Bible should be read? There are so many options- which is the one that the outsider should read to understand the true message?

I got to say thanks to you i bought this book and i can't believe how extensive of an amount of occult knowledge is in this book.i was kind of upset when i bought it. It had a finger or glue smudge or something on the white part,( when the book is closed and it had two pages that were slightly torn. All of which pissed me off, so Amazon got a bad review for that! Anyways, aside from that rant, i have finally went through some of the material in the book after getting over my begrudging attitude about the condition of the book. It's amazing, it has all of the stuff i was looking for, from older astrological talismanic making, to binding spirits into objects. Thanks for doing a review on this book.

    • @FoolishFishBooks

Yeah, mine was covered in fingerprints when I got mine, but the waxy paper withstands a slightly damp sponge very well, followed by a paper towel. The prints come off like no-one's business :) Amazon's packing service getting gradually worse... It's a great book though! I'm so glad you like it!

Do you have any information about the comparison of tysons and paul summer youngs translations? This one seems te be a third of the price of the black letter press one... those are just sooooo beautiful!! And if this is a text i will be coming nack to in the future i would maybe rather get the black letter press books. Yeah this one is 35 pounds on amazon and one book of the 4 volumes of black letter press costs 45€ or you can get all four for 170€. I just went through my copy, specifically book one chapter XXVII What Things are Under the Power of Mars and are Called Martial.
Page 89 in the paperback edition, a paragraph of the text is cut short and does not continue in the next pages, the second last line of text points to a footnote number 15, turning the page the rest of the chapter is missing but footnotes extend to 17.
I don't know how many other errors exist but this stood out as very obvious

Would it be fair to say that if you spend about 20 plus years studying The Occult that this book is merely just a door stop of a book of no more use than a telephone directory or the Yellow Pages. 99% of this is all been hashed over in different forms of Magick and now to be all “You need this in your collection” is an insult to our intelligence, however I’m glad you’re not trying to sell this dinosaur. Magick comes from within you and any system has its roots in Source, The Elements and balancing those through transformation by will and faith into something one can command at will to manifest an objective change or cause by intention.
If you want a book that will give you all that old age to The New Age flavor to build a great foundation look no further than The Kybalion by Three Initiates.
