    We find it so amazing that you keep coming up with completely different ideas. Most turners make a vase or bowl of different sizes but little variance. You make things that do not look at all like previous projects!!

    Excellent Tim! I've seen some similar wall art but making them into bud vases is a great idea! I should have sent you some plastic test tubes I have a box of! They work great for bud vases. Cheers, Dave

      @tfturning  2 роки тому

      Cheers Dave! I've made a couple of the one sided wall hanging ones before but then I saw this idea but as a three part piece rather than two. Can't for the life of me remember where I saw it or even who made it. Thanks for watching!

    Now that’s something different isn’t it👍 I like those a lot, simple idea (without being insulting) yet very effective. Lovely decorative pieces👍👍 You do come out with some nice little gems👍👍

      Thank you Steve, I really appreciate your kind words! Seeing it done and doing are two very different things so i'm super pleased with how they actually turned out. I kept two sides flat on these but i'd like to do another set and shape all four sides, you know.. for science haha. Thanks for popping by, sir 😃

    Not my personal favorite,admittedly a interesting piece nicely made.

      @@tfturning always enjoy your channel Tim, glad I don’t offend when I don’t care for a piece. But if everyone liked the same things, what a boring world that would be. Liked your waving goodbye when it fell. Cracked me up.

      @@bobdavis5216 No not at all, like you say, it would be a very boring place indeed.
      I forgotten I'd done that until I sat down to edit, made me chuckle too so it stayed in 😂

      @@tfturning I'm ok thanks mate, but the shed floor isn't, Ripping it out as the floor boards are rotten and am replacing with a concrete floor ...70 yrs old and still working like a carthoss carting barrow loads of hand mixed concrete down the garden path 😂

      @@Bramsshed1913 Absolute trooper! You got a mixer at least or the good old spade chop chop method? Man I don't envy you there, be awesome once its done though ay! I'd give you a hand if I wasn't 4 hours away 🤦‍♂️

    Hi Tim, They are excellent. The process made by brain work a bit harder than it likes but I've got my head around it now. Should make good sellers at craft fairs. Keeping this video. Great video Tim.
    Take care. Cheers, Huw

      @tfturning  2 роки тому

      Cheers Huw, I know what you mean, when I first saw pictures of it there was definitely a lot of head scratching going on haha. I later found some of the process and it all made sense. Screws.. of course! Thanks for watching mate!

    Just extraordinary Pog. Really intriguing stuff; I can imagine looking at these and trying to figure out how the heck they'd been made. And now I know! Cheers mate, I really enjoyed that. Incidentally, will you continue with the bit that you waved bye-bye to, or is it lost forever?

    • @tfturning
      @tfturning  2 роки тому

      Thank you so much Mark! I thought exactly the same when I first saw them then I accidentally stumbled on a few pictures of the process. Who'd have thought that the pieces are made over long to start with and screwed in! I will still finish the bat however, I'm having trouble rusting the barbed wire, turns out I bought some coated stuff. A week or two more in vinegar should do the trick! Cheers mate, hope you're well!
