Sure, they can have their own thermal runaway fires and lose millions production cost and few sales. EV sales worldwide are falling way below expectations.
In Australia, since it's called a boot and not a trunk, it's not called a frunk. But it's not called a froot either. We have our own word. It's a portmanteau of the words front and compartment. It's called the fartment.
Living in the UK i have yet to see a Cybertruck, perhaps they are owned by Cybermen.
There are plenty of horror stories and videos on UA-cam, why anyone would buy one

It's not produced in right hand drive, so it's not sold in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Japan, etc.
Road regulations in the UK won't allow the cyber truck into the country. While the car might not be appealing to you. It's weird design is exactly why people want it.

With everything that’s happening here in Russia it’s a perfect time for China to offload all of their rubbish electric vehicles. Unlike other vehicles when need major repairs you just change a motor these EVs are so overpriced batteries that in 10 years the cars will be completely scrap metal. how is that good for the Environment

This is the first Tesla that was brought, but not the only one, several more pieces will arrive in Russia or already on the territory. And the very first one after graduation from the countries of the former USSR was bought in Kyrgyzstan, but it stands there on the territory of the house as an ornament and does not leave. In Russia, this model can be purchased on order without restrictions.

Hi Russell!! Here in Phoenix Arizona USA, we see lots of electric cars on the roads. Mostly Tesla cars, I have seen only 5 Tesla Cybertucks on the road so far, but I assume there are much more. I have not seen any Chinese brands here, but we see brands like Lucid, Rivian, Kia, Polestar, etc quite often. Fisker was here for a short time, but they are now facing bankruptcy. Keep up the great content!!

I thonk those Tesla are all recalled because of accesllerator pedal.problem. my view it did not look very aerodynamic and looked like ameteaur metalwork class, but what do I know! it's a unicorn, toy, look at me type of vehicle. i put the GM Hummer EV in the same category - oversized overpriced for anyone into the excess. I love many different types and price points of cars, trucks, including EVs but these types of vehicles aren't amongst them.
Plenty of drunk russians have made awful copies over these few past years and especially during covid. But this seems genuine enough.😅

Been really enjoying watching BYD's Cars reviews, lots of chinese brands joining the eletric car market in the past few years. I bet we'll a lot more of them in Russia in the future.

This thing is a real joke, it's banned in Europe for obvious security reasons, in UK you need a truck driver license because of the weight. I mean this, and all big electric cars, his way to heavy, it destroys any other vehicles in a crash and can't even got through snow, there are numerous videos of getting stuck in the snow. If you want a truck buy a real pickup, at least you won't get stuck in mud or snow and you'll have a way more range when towing. Just wait a couples of years before they all end up in a scrap yard, oh wait yiu can't put them in a regular scrap yard because of the batteries that we are yet able to recycle. Still a great video Russell, good work.
In Russia, you also need a truck license for it. The cybertruck has a gross weight of 4 tons. You need a truck license for anything above 3.5 tons in Russia.

i wonder if the owner got the factory recall notice that went out to all 3,800 cybertruck owners on april 17th 2024 to fix the accelerator pad jamming issue. unintended acceleration in a 3100kg battery that goes from 0-60 in 3 seconds is pretty messy

Tesla sounds so cool in reverse that I'd have that sound in the forward drive mode too sounding like the old Jetsons. Tesla must be a small hobby club over there. Wonder if a Russian Tesla owner can get servicing? I know Cybertruck is around where I live in America, but haven't seen one yet. One of these 21st century days the real world science fiction car will appear in real life. I'd like driving that for I'm a sci-fi geek, but most people don't like that sort of thing. It'd stand out badly in a rural setting even though it looks cool to me.

Scary. Several years ago I considered to buy Tesla but decided not to. Its was and still is impractical. I like long distance travels but charging stations would be an issue. I bought Toyota Rav 4 hybrid instead.
If russian winter is longer than summer, then this truck is going to have problems in colder temperatures.

The Ora, yes. It was pretty neat. A bit of a mix of other models. But it still had its own character. It's made by Great Wall Motors. Ora stands for 'open, reliable and alternative'

Every where they are seen, everyone wants to look and take pictures, I personally do not really like electric cars.
I am frankly shocked by how stunningly ugly the Cybertruck is, it’s the ugliest vehicle I ever laid eyes on. That little Ora looks really cool.
I loved the Ora too. I might have to ask if i can make a video only on that one. I love though how we all have a different feeling about seeing the cybertruck.
If you are interested in fully electric cars, go and have a look around a Volvo dealership. The Swedish company has several models of BEV and a stated plan for all their cars to be fully electric by 2030.

I believe you are referring to the subsidiary of Geely, a Chinese company, right?
Either way, yes, Geely has some cutting-edge electric cars which will blow any Tesla out of the water. The Zeekr 001 is my favorite.

Volvo itself was founded in 1927 and is Swedish, with their listing on the Stockholm stock exchange even though the majority owner is indeed Chinese.
@@jonathanr72 While Volvo trucks are independent, and with their own R&D. Volvo cars are essentially Geely’s under the hood. You can take the power train from a Geely Monjaro and put it into a Volvo XC90 and vice versa. As far as their BEV’s and Polestars go, they are 100% Chinese with a Volvo badge.
