I love the Razer Kishi. Paired with my spare S21, I now I have a handheld PS2. And everything else below PS2. AetherSX2 is an incredible emulator, I recently donated $50 to the AetherSX2 devs, because their emulator is worth every penny.
Trust me, you do not want to use a controller with triggers that require a lot of force to press down. It doesn't take long to realize how uncomfortable it feels and you never really get used to it.
I was interested until he said some people said it was uncomfortable. I have learned that the smaller form factor controllers are not for me. My fingers get cramps from pressing the triggers. This happens on the smaller ipega controllers so I switched to the larer Sized ipega controllers and they feel better to me.
walmart had a bundle. the razer kishi and thier lower end model wireless earbuds for 49.99. since then nothing has replaced my kishi. best android phone controller to date.
Being sensitive to latency nothing beats direct USB C connection. I have a Razer Kishi and I do like it a lot except for the d pad. It just flattens out if not pressing perfect left, right ect. Hard to do accurate fast inputs. Maybe I'll look into modding the pivot on it but for now digital to analogue in retroarch does great.
Yeah I had that same flattening problem with the D-Pad, did the tape mod and now it feels much better, it's clickier and you can easily hit any direction, so I'd personally recommend it (I'd also recommend being careful with it because I did break a few screw holes in the process).
Just ordered one on amazon uk for £76. I like the look of it and I dont want to keep plugging/unplugging my expensive smart phones into the type C port on the Kishi/gamesir x2. Type C ports are fairly flimsy and easily damaged, the Gamesir x2 has an angled Type C connector but I don't like plugging a £650 smart phone into a 45 degree angled connector, It's so easy to snap a Type c internal connector. I think the industry needs a new type of charging/data transfer connection, Mainly a more durable connection for our precious expensive devices, so they can live longer.
Yo ETA, all I wanna see is the Retroid Pocket 2+ review! I hope we don't have to wait a month for the review. It's only 100 bux and the chip is far more capable than all previous RK3266 handhelds. It looks like it may be THE FIRST handheld ever that has no major flaws, is cheap, and is fast enough to run everything that I want to emulate without problems, has good controls, high res screen, and stereo sound. I pre-ordered one, but there's no reviews yet except Taki's preview.
Cool to see some review off this controller. Is there any lifesign of the pro version jet? Does it even exist in the wild? Personally that one looked even more compelling with the more xbox controller sized shape.
This is not only an expensive phone controller, it's the most expensive controller I've ever seen, period. It's priced the same as an Xbox Elite controller. It's not far from being two Razer Kishis or more than 15x the price of eBay/Amazon branded knock offs. How much could they possibly charge for a pro version? Here in Australia this POS controller is $169.95! Sony's dualsense is only $83!
Looks like this might actually fit a Fold Z3 in a case with the phone open. The razor kishi does not at all. Edit: this does fit a fold z3, even in a Spigen case. Photos on reddit. This is probably my best option.
kishi's buttons are way too squishy for my liking, gamesir is a much more enjoyable experience if u don't like squishy , had high hopes for kishi but was a let down, surprises me so many recommended that controller tbh, and they still do to this day and the triggers are squeaky lol
I wish they'd make one big enough for a tablet. The ipega ones seem to be the only ones big enough and I hate that the buttons are below the right stick. I can't reach the triggers while using the buttons.
Thanks for the video! I play a mobile game called War Robots and nobody's been able to suggest a good controller. (Except the Flydigi apex2 series works) your best suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!
Steam deck has been delayed by 2 months. This is the e-mail i recieve this morning. Hello The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We're sorry about this-we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates. Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue-you will keep your place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement. Again, we're sorry we won’t be able to make our original ship date. We'll continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline, and will keep you updated as we go.
Long story short... Everything about the controller is rather good, however the triggers are way to stiff! and the toggles response could be better 3/5 from me, would recommend shopping around being committing.
Gamsir X2 killing the game with these controllers. Usb type C or Lightning. Only downside is the triggers aren't analog. That was really dumb. So racing games will be annoying. But honestly if I have the option I use right stuck up for gas and pull back for brakes.
Just got this one. It doesn't seem to work in Into the Breach on Android. But then again maybe the Android version isn't meant to be controlled with controllers.
I like the Kishi also, had it for about a year now, but after 10 mins or so, my hand for cramp most of the time, now im looking for another solution for my oneplus 7t
I'm looking at wanting to get a Bluetooth controller for my mobile for one particular mobile phone game, would you recomend this to play for say games like mech arena?
I wonder if all that "Kishi-lovers" who have xbox or playstation use cables to play too because "bluetooh connection is unplayable!!!!". Come on guys, stop the bullshit. It's impossible to notice the difference.
Can you do a teardown on this controller? I bought this and the tension on the sprig is so strong that when I put in my fold 3 it slipped by accident and it snapped the right analog stick clean off. I don't know where to begin to start the teardown.
Which controller is able to work with the s22 ultra but with the game wild blood + that all controls also work. I have not immediately seen in videos that a controller can play that game. Buddy of mine has a recent xbox controller, you can connect with the s22 ultra, but wild blood can't be played.
Most regular phone controllers are good. The ipega 9167 worked well with my original fold which was actually slightly bigger than the Z Fold 3 so that would do you well :)
It's noticeable in any fast paced or competitive games. Pair an Xbox One controller (easiest to just get doing without setup) to your phone and try it out, if you don't notice any delay then that's sorted, go wireless ;)

The Kishi's USB Type C connection beats wireless everyday, it's actually a well made Razer product for once.
I bought the Kishi and regretted it once I realised it didn't have fast charging
If the Kishi had fast charging, and a headphone jack... It would literally be the perfect device.
