I have had that same experience, you were much calmer than I was in this situation. Still easier than wrenching on the BMW. Looking forward to upcoming episodes. Mark in DFW
Im replacing my upper and lower TAs soon. When i started this video I didnt know I could replace the bushings with a kit. After watching your fight to remove and press im glad I purchased new arms lol i will keep my old ones and eventually repress the bushing to have them as spares. I appreciate your dedication!
OEM bushings apparently are available and they're only about $20 each. Weird that the epc don't list them but each of these parts are only used on the 100 series cruisers if you google it. Got this from an IH8MUD post Upper 48702-60090 x4 Lower Front 48702-60100 x2 Lower Rear 48702-60110 x2
Do you recommend the poly bushings? I've used the for my steering rack but im hesitant to use them for my lower control arms bc i want the truck to ride smoothly on road
They ride better than the worn out rubber bushings I had before. If I were to do it again I’d go OEM but only for ease of installation. So far the poly is holding up well.
No! OEM. Seriously, Toyota knows best on most all Land Cruiser components. Poly in a flexing suspension, no. They will also transfer more bearing and gear noise.

Thank you! So much easier than a BMW. Not looking forward to doing the other arms. I think having a reciprocating saw would make it easier.

A year after install, what is your opinion on the poly bushes?

Would you be able to press it with the metal sleeve in the bushing already? So that it holds the bushing straighter
Possibly I guess if you had one the perfect size.
