I had an interview once and I was asked about discretion: " If your boss tells you sth and you come out and your colleague asked you what did the boss tell you"😄 And I was like hmmmm🥵🥵 " I wouldn't tell my colleague. I would be diplomatic and say:" It is not sth related to him/her personally. It was an issue about work"😅 I was feeling so unprofessional with my answer but I really didnt know what to say at that moment or what might have been the right/perfect answer to this question
My approach to that question would depend on what was discussed. "If my boss shared confidential information, I would treat it as such. However, if it was related to the growth of the team and the organization, then I would consider sharing it with my colleague so we can work together toward a common goal". Anyway, I really don't think there is a clear cut answer to this, because your response might be right. So it depends on what the recruiters are looking for. All the best!
