THANK YOU for doing this. In 2022, I drove north on the A9 past Inverness, heading to Thurso. I will get a rental car in Inverness to head south in September. Your stop next to the Clark dealership showed me the light I will be going through to get back onto the A9 to head south. I had forgotten that there was a light on the A9 roundabout. I just remembered that it was a very easy roundabout to navigate even though it was the morning rush hour. Your video is excellent, and I look forward to seeing more of what you have done. I am a 77 year old in Canada, and yes, driving on the left is not easy. Your roads are soooo narrow.
Thanks for this. I'll be in Inverness in July. It's nice to have a good overview before I get there. I'm sorry that I'll miss the castle due to the renovation. I do have a question - what do those zig zag lines on some of the streets indicate?
The white zig zag lines near pedestrian crossings are for 'no parking' in that area. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy your visit to Inverness.
Thanks for the driving tour, Brummie! We're looking at grabbing a bite to eat at either Coyote Burger or possibly a place called Comfort Foods on Church Street when we're passing through Inverness in a few weeks. We'd love to find a place to casually listen to live traditional folk music but aren't really into the packed, loud pub scene. Any suggestions?
Hi Guys, I've not been in either of those places, although I do know of them. Coyote Burger is fairly new, and I have heard good reports about it. The Highlander bar on Queen Street is supposed to be good, and they do play live traditional music. Gellions bar is good on the High Street, but can get very busy in the evenings. I guess you will get the feel of places when you are wandering about.
I used to drive a taxi in Inverness for about 2 years. Nice to see it again but the highland council are going to ruin Inverness sadly. I left Inverness in 2014 but I miss it tremendously. Wish I could go back. 😢

We moved here in 2009, and it has changed a lot since then, maybe not for the better, unfortunately.
Thank you for watching.👍
