Golden Axe: The Duel [Saturn] - play as Death Adder

This is a playthrough using Death Adder in the Saturn version of Golden Axe: The Duel. Read on below for more information...
Death Adder is the penultimate opponent in the game. He is a regular selectable character.
===== HIS STORY IN GATD =====
From the game's manual, with slight changes:
"To this day, little is known about Death Adder. He was believed dead after the battle with Gillius Thunderhead, yet rose again to stalk the land. Twice since then he has "died" only to return again from the other side. It is widely believed now that he is not man, but an evil spirit.
Rumours that he will fight for the axe are causing panic throughout the lands. Should Death Adder gain the Golden Axe, the continent will face an age of horror and despair."
===== GATD DESIGN =====
His design in GA:TD is based on his appearance in Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (a scrolling beat-em-up where he is the final boss), and even has some of the same moves as in that game - an example of this being the Dragon Breath, although it's nowhere near as good as the one in the scroller.
===== GAMEPLAY =====
He is a "larger" character which means that he is somewhat slow in speed and is also a big target. Despite using a short axe as his weapon, his reach of attacks is still quite good, especially his jumping slashes. He has some low sliding kicks that can sometimes be quite effective against the CPU opponents.
It should also be mentioned that if he blocks too many times, he eventually loses his Shield and can no longer perform the Dragon Breath special move.
His Death Wave special move (the ground geyser thing) is a cool reference to his Golden Axe 1 incarnation.
===== THE GAME'S STORY =====
The story for this game's events is set 80 years after the events of Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (a scrolling beat-em-up).
After the people of the land had forgotten the tragic events and had rebuilt their lives, another terror begins again. Out of the mists of time, the legendary weapon Golden Axe was rediscovered and it's power appears to have grown over the years. This power is said to be able to grant it's owner anything his or her heart desires.
Thus numerous fighters across the land, young and old and good and evil, are attempting to obtain this artifact.
===== OTHER INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====
---- The character Jamm does not have her own stage background, instead she uses Doc's stage background, seemingly in mirror matches. She does however have her own BGM theme for this mirror match though.
---- In the Saturn version of the game, there are Green Elves (that when hit), can drop food which can replenish life if picked up. This feature can be enabled in the Options screen. The Green Elves are not in the Arcade version of the game.
---- In the Japanese version of the Arcade game, at the beginning of a match before the fight starts, there is text that displays the stage's name under "Duel 1".
---- In the Saturn version of the game, the character Doc has an extra special move called the Dashing Strike. This move is not in the Arcade version.

23:40 ahh, so it does still hurt a little. I was looking. Thought I heard some differences in sound.
As suspected. The shield dragon has another layer of sound like it's alive. Arcade port version I played has a raspy fire breathing sound and that's it.

The fact that his shield breaks after defending a lot makes it frustrating to play as him. It's a cool visual thing but it should be exclusive to the cpu.

I get when they were going for as it’s a reference to Revenge of death adder, but to balance it the shield should either give him access to good moves so that he should focus on offense instead of defense, comeback the at the beginning of each round, or his other moves should be buffed when it breaks or get access to new moves to make up for it.
