I think the palms of the owlbear look funny. Its not bear paws, or owl talon, just some humans hands. Probably the wizard who was creating them mess up and just went with what he knows.
I really like the current range from NLM. I have no real complaints about the clean up, it's no worse than other miniature lines. Painting them via slap chop has been enjoyable
I just got done painting my second miniature from NLMs and I honestly really like them. They come at a good price and actually don’t need to be primed, had to redo a part of a base and it took paint just as well as the section I primed.
One of the things I liked about vol2 was even during development they listened to criticism. Originally the Bugbear Grunts were going to be Large and the Nagas were going to be Medium but when backers expressed they wanted it the other way, Next Level did so.
I heard how they fixed their original issues doing their second kickstarter, so I decided to back them this time around, getting the resized miniatures as an add-on as well :) They should be shipping shortly, so that's very exciting 😀 Great video! But maybe don't let stuff lay around in the open when you have sock puppets running about 😛
I was skeptical about backing this after the dissapointment the first time. Im glad they turned it around, im definitely more interested backing their next project and buying these versions.
once again we are on the same page haha i just found out about these minis last night and ordered a bunch off of miniature marketplace and then you put out a video about it lol
Nice review. Glad the durability is up there. It would be interesting to see some reviews of "small batch" mini makers. Dark sword, sensible shoes, oathmark, etc. I know some of them are expensive, so that may get in the way.
I have never had a Nolzur's break on me. It's not a PVC mix which is what Nolzur's are. I would say the ones I got are close. Especially the larger minis I would say are equally durable.
They have these on miniature market, sooooo cheap compared to wizards. And wizards is starting to cheap put, none of the new minis from watching come with bases! Are they any good tho?
I like them for the price point. Mini market stuff goes on sale quite a bit. The larger miniatures are my favorite for sure. Thermoplastic is slightly different than the PVC cheaper wizkids stuff. I would say go to your local store and look at the Reaper Bones USA products because they are the closest thing to these if you are on the fence.
I burst out laughing during the durability test
It's the only way to do a scientific test!

6:15 😂😂❤ gotta love when Kringle gets to shine in a video.
Thanks for the review. It’s good to see these type of improvements.
Currently painting Vol 2. Thankful for the resizing.

That is a fun set of models.
The Kringle test is very accurate as to how miniatures travel. 😁

I haven't done any testing with thermoplastic. It takes primer so well that I figure in the long run it's just easier to prime them.
That wight is giving me serious Eddie the Iron Maiden mascot vibes
He remind me of something and I just can't think of it. Maybe I should paint it up.
@@Blandco absolutely yes!

Welcome back ☺️.
As for minis, I recommend TTCombat's halfling versions of the old empire troops of warhammer
Def gonna check those out.

It's impossible to "Kringle proof" my place. I have tried.

I think this is gonna be the line of minis for me!

I actually just got some Oathsworn minis!
How do you make sure you ordering the new size of MM or their own website?
I have been trying to figure that out. As far as I can tell the stuff that MM is selling is mostly resized with the exceptions like the stirge.
Would you say these are as durable as the nolzur's minis ?
