  • I'm so excited to walk you through What I Eat In A Day: March 2024 edition. Now, this isn't what I eat every day, but it's a great approximation for the foods I pack into every meal! Be sure to download my Power Foods For Anti-Aging quickly read the description below! For breakfast, I almost always have a smoothie - it literally floods my body with a huge boost of nutrients first thing in the morning. I always shoot for three important macros in my smoothie: complex carbs, whole fats, and healthy plant-based proteins (here's a link to my favorite protein powder: bit.ly/3PxU00X, use the code SOPHIE20 for added discounts at checkout!). I'm going for a grain bowl if I'm not having a smoothie. For lunch, I'm having a massive salad with fiber, grains, protein, healthy fats ... all the goodies. Dinner, I love a pasta with a plant-protein-boosted marinara and a side of gorgeous veggies.

    I love it to hear what you preach. I get sosick of the lies of wome m falli g apart in their 40's. I had 6 babies between 32 and my last one at 41. Healthy baby I came home from hospital with my clothes falling off of me. I ran while pregnant, back hitting yhe pavement shortly after birth my chirooractor could not get overmy flat stomach.With 6 pregnancies and deliveries I never had morning sickness, backaches, heartburn syrange cravings or post partum depression. I breastfed all 6 and they were all veryhealthy. My little ones were. fed real tablefood right off my plateGarlic in their greens and beans, I was so happy I had a dirty d I aper to change, we didn't allow them soda or a bunch of sweet junk fir holidays. They drank water and soymilk and they enjoyed it

      Lies?? How do you know they lie?? If you have exceptional health it's very arrogant of you to think everyone else has it as well! Everyone has a different body, everyone has a different nervous system and psyche. You are incredibly judgemental 😡

    Thank you for this! I have just started eating WFPB diet about a week ago after being stuck at a certain weight and nothing I did was helping me to reduce. I have studied a lot about this, purchased cook books, listened to other’s stories, but really my own experience after one week has me sold! I feel so much better,I have lost 3 lbs, and my gut issues are improved 100%. I just discovered you and am so thankful for every tidbit of info I have received. You are inspirational!

    Thank you Sophie. Struggling to get into the saddle to loose 20 lbs. 62, used to have your figure. Tired from work at the end of the day and lazy after work. End up eating poorly. Found your channel last night, subscribed and will get in the saddle now. Thank you for the information and inspiration 😊

      @@SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen I will remember and keep the link if I struggle to get it together, thank you! Your Gorgeously Grren and The Gorgeously Green Diet book both arrived this past week. I can’t wait to read them and put myself to task. I will cont to tune into your videos. I am so addicted to sugar it’s awful. I don’t have any vices except for that. I once gave it up cold turkey and didn’t eat it for 6 years but once I started back I was right back to the addiction. This week I am detoxing from the sugar and replacing it with berries and meal prepping with vegetables and grains. Thank you again for being so inspiring!

    15:20 Thank you for your guidance, especially on protein. You commented about your salad that garden peas have “a ton of protein.” The data is that 1 cup of peas has 4g of protein. One egg has 6 grams of protein. 4 oz of chicken has 35g of protein. I write this to question how you get enough protein intake for the day (you say 56g is baseline) on small incremental amounts?

      I feel so good eating wfpb , I cannot do soy anymore. The soy attacked my thyroid years ago. I used to love tofi, soymilk, tofupups and tofutti cuties. I am 68 and don't have all the aches and pains and health problems people eating the frankin foods so prevelant in grocery stores. I raised my kids on home cooked foods and theywere hardly ever sick. We didn't give them soda or candy, any snacks they had we made at home

    I buy only organic raw sprouted nut butters such as Brazil nut, sunflower seed, pumpkin seed, hempseed, almond, and walnut butters and alternate every morning. (Dastony is a good brand) It may sound weird but I mix a tablespoon of a nut butter with a tablespoon of ground flaxseed and eat it.

    And yet…13 years ago you have a video where you say you “are a huge fan of olive oil” and show how to make infused oils. I think the advice is conflicting. I agree with so much of what you say and this is not a criticism as you clearly look very healthy. Have you recently decided or researched the negative sides of oil consumption?. Thank you.

    • @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen
      @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen  5 місяців тому

      Great question - if you don't love eating volume, are you staying "full" and satiated throughout the day? If so, you want to focus on getting adequate protein daily - around 56 grams (depending on your age and activity level) - you may need to go up from there. And make sure you get tons of variety.

    I have been WFPB for about 4 years. Mainly low in oil and doing much if what you preach, however, I have gained back almost all of what I lost when I started as I turned 60. I have tweaked it here and there more then I can say with no budge. I love large salads, variety is my jam as well as tofu. Is this common?

    • @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen
      @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen  25 днів тому

      This can happen after 60, when metabolism can slow a little bit. This is why it's important to step it up, go in 100% and start looking at how much you are moving daily and resistance training too.

    Do you put anything on your salad bowl…any kind of dressing??

    • @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen
      @SophieUlianoGorgeouslyGreen  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes, I usually use an oil-free dressing. I don't love added oils and tend to keep the fats "whole," so I use lots of seeds, some olives, and a little avocado. I sometimes use a little EVOO, which can be healthy. But I recommend an oil-free dressing for clients who desire to lose belly fat and overall fat and/or are struggling with Type 2 diabetes or metabolic syndrome.
