Omg I am so glad I happened to see this! I'm not a hairdresser-im just a 42yr old trying all the fun colors b4 I feel too old for it to look right lol. Have been messing around w lots of semi permanent colors but have been desperate to do a shine line or peekaboo highlight situation,but all the vids I've watched are too difficult for someone who's not a hairdressers to do,but THIS IS PERFECT!! It's so smart how you applied this color! You only need a few colors because when you blend them, yellow mixes with pink to create an orange shade, and with the blue to create green. I've been learning a lot about color application just by watching videos like this one and I've come to recognize that, oftentimes, people apply colors that they don't need. Doing it your way, it saves time, but most importantly, reduces waste. Your color choices and formulations were so smart as well! This is both skillful and artful. Thank you for sharing with us. Outstanding work!!! Thanks for the video! I am a stylist for 35 years and I've done this but I am telling you, you did a wonderful job and video. I have been using mainly pravana for years, I have used pulp riot and joico some but you have me re-thinking pulp riot, I guess I didn't realize that it doesn't bleed into the other colors like pravana does which is very important. I think you have shown that the rainbow effect can be taken to the gorgeous extreme of perfection in this video. Wow! You're just so right about working smarter and not harder!
Can you suggest another base color for me to use? I'm not crazy about the purple, and lean more towards the blue colors. I'm naturally pure silver, Kate; my hair is long and quite beautiful (so I'm told) but I really want to color it with the rainbow prism like your video. Whaddya think?

Silver base, eh? Do you mean like dark silver so the colors would contrast well?

My regular clients come in with ideas most of the time, and I also have a handful of models that pay for just cost of product in exchange for letting me have creative freedom:)

I sent this to my hairdresser and going for it next weekend. I'm struggling with what to choose for base colour tho. Rose gold? Cool rose? Raspberry? Scarlet? I think it will be a coin flip!

Beautiful nice work! Would have loved to seen her face and not a mask. When at the end, I can understand covering your face when you're breathing chemicals but we want to see her happy smile when she's done not a silly mask.
This was filmed during Covid, so masks were mandatory at the time =)

Yes! You'll just need to prelighten the sections where the prism colors will go first =)

It was nothing like that at all it sucked it was terrible
But then I got my hair cut short and it then wasn't so bad, rly wish he could of done it, also when I say undercut I mean I big one not a silly little triangle at the bottom of the head

Haha thank you! You can, but I really do believe Pulp is the best for not bleeding and transferring. Your results may look a bit different with another line
You don’t wash the color off you just automatically dry?
Never wash- rinse with as cold of water as possible.
