Like 83. Très belle semaine à toi, et bisous de Philix le petit barde de l'Est 🎵😘
I just wanted to say how happy it makes me to see someone arranging music for small harps. I started out on a 19 string, and I had a lot of trouble finding music to play on it. So thank you, and also thank you for the free sheet music. I have starting writing for smallish lever harps recently, but I'm pretty new at it and haven't posted any on my channel yet. Right now video is hard.
Whether by land or by sea, the beautiful dear Mermaid Marianne 🧜♀️ enchants us with her love of life ✨️ & music 🎶 that captivates our heart & soul of humanity to cherish the world 🌎 we live in. Love & Hugs ❤️❤️🤗🤗
Thank you very much for this lovely arrangement, Marianne! The scenery in the background added a wonderful dimension to the piece. I look forward to playing this tune on my own Rosemarkie and hope you will make other videos featuring this beautiful Medieval harp.
Marianne, Would you please consider making another video with the Rosemarkie? Perhaps a Celtic slow air or another peaceful tune? It’s been a while since you’ve made a video with it and I always look forward to them.
Thank you dear John! I tried to pick a simple but uplifting piece that wouldn’t be too challenging to play given the travel harp size, the unexpected waves crashing all over the place and the unpredictable wind!
careful folks! it's a trap once they lure the travelers they morph from cute chick into a scary sea monster & eat the traveler. I know, cause I personally witnessed it in Pirates of the Caribbean +_+
This is where melody alone tells a story, Did you actually film this in the waters off of Spain and Portugal!? .. The rocky coast is what I would picture that part of the Atlantic to look like ... I am always in Awe of the music and melody you create:)
Thank you so much dear Todd! This is actually Algarve, south of Portugal (so quite far from Galicia in the north where the Cantigas de Santa Maria originate actually from) but that’s the Atlantic coast indeed. It’s an absolutely stunning location and it felt like heaven staying there! Warm musical greetings from across the ocean!
This is beautiful. I'd love to learn this piece but I'm a late beginner and can't quite get grace notes/thrill right even though I've been practicing it for awhile. I'd appreciate it if you could give me any tips.
Glad you like this piece! It does take time and patience to master the technique to play quick grace notes and trills but don’t lose hope! First of all - remember that those are meant to be ornaments and they are optional - so don’t fret if you stumble on those, it’s totally okay to leave them out without guilt, you will still be true to the song and its core melody and you can still play a beautiful rendition of it! Second, if you do want to give them a try, start by playing them slow and as relaxed as possible, don’t rush them before you are comfortable with finger placement and note sequence (it will actually sound nice too)! Then you can gradually accelerate. Third, lower string tension might help. I struggled for months to master quick repeated notes until I got a chance to practice them on a lower tension instrument, which recalled helped me develop the right “feel” and sensations for the technique (and after that I could play the technique on any harp). Voila 🥰 good luck with your harp journey and best wishes from Belgium ❤️
@@mariannebouvettemusic Thank you so much for the advice. You're too kind! It's very encouraging as well, I will definitely keep trying. Wish you merry christmas!

Absolutely gorgeous performance of that wonderful tune. That's the first I'd heard that particular song before.and I love it already
I have listen several times and each time this charming melody grows more: simple but with a lot going on! A beautiful choice.

Votre musique vous l’enregistrer chez vous puis après vous filmez dehors ? Est ce que c’est un montage vidéo ?
