- This video is taken alone the EAST 3RD RING ROAD, from GUOMAOQIAO to SANYUANQIAO, from south to north direction.
The 3rd Ring Road is a 48-kilometre city ring road that encircles the centre of the city of Beijing.
When Beijing first became the capital of the People's Republic of China, the road existed only in segments encircling the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the city. At the time, it was known as Beihuan (North Ring), Donghuan (East Ring), and Nanhuan (South Ring). The 3rd Ring Road was finally finished in 1994 with the completion of the western segment. There are 52 flyovers, including Sanyuanqiao, which links it to the Airport Expressway. The speed limit is a uniform 80 km/h.
The ring road runs through the busy CBD section in the east through Panjiayuan and Fenzhongsi, linking up with the Jingjintang Expressway. It continues south toward Muxiyuan and Yuquanying, linking up with the Jingkai Expressway. It then proceeds west, linking up with the Jingshi Expressway before running into the western segment, which is linked with the Wukesong residential area, TV broadcasting centres, and, in the northwest, Zhongguancun IT zone. The northern segment is equally busy, running through Beitaipingzhuang, with links to the Badaling Expressway and the Jingcheng Expressway.

Beijing's skyline is the smallest in top 20 Chinese cities. To make it on the top 10 list is a large mistake. That's because Beijing has much higher percentage of low rise buildings under 4 or 5 stories than many other tier 1 and tier 2 Chinese cities. In terms of position, Beijing is tier 1, of skyline it is tier 3 in China.

Greetings from New Zealand. My daughter has just moved to Beijing to work at the UBR theme park. I have been watching videos of Beijing due to that, to get a feel of where she is which seems a long way from home, especially in these times.. I know this is not really near where she is though. You had me really confused at the beginning, you kept on turning and i kept seeing the same buildings over and over. I couldn't understand what was going on till I found the road on google maps, and followed your driving. I see you did a full circuit of all those looping roads and passed where you started at about 3:20 into the video. What a huge interchange! Now I can watch the rest of it having solved the mystery!

Amazing footage. It really is bringing back all the great memories we have when we lived in Beijing 10 years ago. 说干净的都是印度人，因为反差太大了。北京确实比西方国家的城市干净，但是跟很多中国沿海地区城市比，还是有提高的空间。威海，珠海，深圳才是真干净，可以说是一尘不染。北京的精华是大气，一种大国首都的气质。我的一些西方朋友都说北京比任何欧洲城市都有魅力，一下首都机场，一路上就很震撼，他们觉得规划特别整齐。虽然在国内大城市里三环内唯一禁止盖高层建筑的，连前十名都不到，但是北京的独特气质深深的吸引着他们。
北京就是空气太干燥，空气里灰尘太多，车洗了，放一天上面就有一层肉眼看见的灰，这一点确实没法和沿海的城市比。

Nice ride through the freeway of Beijing, I enjoyed seeing the view. Blue sky shows that China has cleaned up the pollution very well.I noticed that many drivers didn’t signal when they cut into other drivers lanes. It makes me wonder why there were not that many accidents. Maybe all drivers have an understanding that they have to look after one another? In Canada drivers behind will give you the horn. Many cities in Canada the drivers behind will let you cut in if you signal. That is called good courtesy.
