Allen, thank you for the intro and outro giving context to this story within Agatha’s life. It made this riveting piece of writing more impactful. Thank you also for not peppering this with advertisements. It was such an enjoyable and breath holding drama.
A great eye opener for me to know that Agatha Christie wrote this. So many twists and turns. And they seemed like real people to me by the time it was over. Like real lives, I was listening to that, I felt so worried and sad for Nel in the end. Would it work out well for her I wonder? Thank you for sharing this.
She most certainly did marry Jim Hayward - no doubt & bravo! I literally had to take a break 5 minutes before the end to brace myself for whatever was going to happen! Brilliant Story.🤯
John to Nan: « I was faithful to you in every meaning of the word » Yeah right, except you were having an emotional affair with her little sister and stopped showing care to your wife… Not to say Nan is blameless, of course. She had a physical affair and thats her wrongdoing. It just bothers me that John acts so high and mighty.
Nell would never have been happy running off with John. John would not have been the man she had come to love. She was already seeing that he was too harsh in his judgment. She said as much. And he would not have been happy with her, she having shattered his image of her as truth personified. After the initial rush, it would all have fallen apart as they would come to realise that they had each been "in love" with a person who didn't exist. Not to mention, he would have grown tired of his new life away from work and steady dependability. And that too she had loved about him.

It is UA-cam which. Is doing all the ads. The people, the UA-camrs, are the ones who do all the work and suffer all the calumny.

Nell grew up in that moment and came to understand life.....as she said. She came to know what was important.

Fabulous writing in every way and acted so well 👍
I was definitely not expecting this storyline.
A powerful story - an excellent example of “cause and effect”
Wonderful. Thank you for sharing. No doubt the tale could have ended in different ways but no easy way out for any of them .
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent. Loved this

Well, it was interesting.
A seriously dysfunctional family.

Excellent writing & acting.
Very powerful.
This is a wonderful find! So glad this wasn't destroyed, but lived on to be appreciated by another generation of Christy lovers.
superb - she is the queen! Thank you.
Thank you too!
Christie is wholeheartedly mocking the upperclass and cheaters.
that John is insufferable...
He's literally constantly flaunting his love for the sister over his wife... And the wife is horrible too.
@@nata3467 exactly. nasty man.
He is a pompous ass.
Thanks for this one. New Subscriber 😻
Thanks for the sub! is this your Genre?
I hope Nel stayed true to herself & did not marry Jim Hayward.
I don't think you understand what Nell had come to understand.
Nel John what a mess 🙃
💙
Did she (AC) pick Nan as her name on purpose! (That's the name of the woman her husband was having an affair with)
😊
I must be honest. I found this boring.
Very unrealistic!
Such a BS story
sorry you didn't enjoy it
