Simply amazing.. love the way you go step by step with your explanation and have always loved the way you come up with such cool stuff..
Very good tutorial, very well explained, very neat, the best there is on UA-cam related to design in Power BI. Congratulations
This is great stuff. I love how you laid out your thought process and the steps in the video. Keep up the great work. Really appreciate it.
so nice to hear - thank you Nate! 😀
Nice trick!
Thank you!
How to combine actual and forecast in the same pattern (sliced by line)?
This was great! The layout of your video was PERFECT and you clearly explained your intentions and the how to. I agree, it would be nice to have a "between" shaded region!
Thx Chris!!! Comments like this make my day 😀 ! .. haha let's hope they listen and put it in for the september update 😁
Thank you, very helpful video, I wonder if we can dynamically remove the constant like if the filter is not selected, I am using this on to show promotions and want to be able to select the promo and have no contant lines when I have not selected an promo.
That was very well done. I can't wait to use it.
Brilliant as always. Inspired me to try it out right away.
I’m speechless you are next level, I have no need for this yet, but I’m sure I will find use for it soon
thank you so much Keagan 😊 .. a lof of cool things you can with these constant lines now that you can set the value with dax measures - got some more examples planned for an upcoming video
Great video as always! Is there a smart way to add a constant line to a bar chart (e.g. mean in a histogram)? How would you solve it?
Thanks man for the great video, i have one question if you can help how to display all months in X-axis like we can do in categorical view but when we select continous type in Date all months are not displayed thanks
Great video However I need to display information with the line. is there a way to add a tool tip to the constant line?
Constant line... That's new!!.. thanks bro.. luv ur video editing skills!!
thx Paul! constant lines suddenly became very interesting now that they added option to set the value using dax measures - many different use cases to explore 😀 ... glad to hear u like the editing, takes the most time of creating the video haha
I would like to change the type of line between the two axes. Thanks
Thanks Bas, great video. I think that a lof of people will loose a lot of time with all your issues you presented here. I like the way you present and solve all these issues.
awesome, thx for the compliment Bart 😀
your video gives very useful tricks, I'd love it so much. I don't why it doesn't have much views and likes, is it because there are not many people learn Power BI on UA-cam,
lol?
This is really awesome 👍 thanks for sharing Bas. Your videos are always helpful.
Your design touches are impeccable. Would be very to see what your design aesthetic for a complete dashboard looks like.
I think you may have also inspired me to grow my beard.
Hey Bas, I enjoy your video Just wanted to tell you that watching your video I too got Interest in Power BI and recently got Job in same field. Thanks for Educating us means a lot.
Thats so nice to hear! Hope you are liking the job 😀
Great stuff but the shape color , shape region is not available in the new Power BI version. How do you get them?
I am a huge fan of your channel! Thank you. Your content is right on, useful and relevant. My feedback is that the music in the background makes it difficult to hear what you're saying. It is a bit of a distraction in my opinion. I hope you consider producing future videos without it.
Thanks! Very usefull!
I like the video. The visual is very nice. I need your support. Under reference lines, I see all kinds of lines (constant, min, max, average, median, percentile), but i do not see the X-axis constant line. Where is it hidden?
so underrated channel, very well done! thanks a lot!
Much appreciated, thanks!
Nice work Bas 👍 Finishing touches is what makes a good report a great one 💥
being able to set the values of constant lines with measures opens up a lot of nice possibilities for those finishing touches 😀 thx for watching Spen!
I had a problem with how to set x-axis lines to denote periods affected by covid lockdowns. The problem is now solved. Thankyou.
great that it helped Market! 😀
Thank you for the great productive video. it works like charm.
Great to hear!!! 👊
Would it work if you shaded the entire chart area with the highlighted colour, then shade BELOW measure 1 and ABOVE measure 2 in white? That way you end up with just the highlighted colour in the middle. I'm just guessing...
Nice Explanation... Superb
Awesome.. it is next level in Power BI.. thanks Bas...
great to hear Bala! thx for watching!😀
Thats brilliant! thanks for sharing
Very interesting feature presentation. Thank you for sharing.
Personally I would set the transparency to something higher than 10%. At least to a value that let's the line chart appear. This can bring more comprehension especially when the selected period is very short.
thx Mehdi. Of course a bit higher on transparency also gets the point across - everybody there own preference 🙂 I could still see it though at 10% 😉😋
Great as always man!!!
Thx Fernando!
Awesome video, thanks! 👍
Thanks man! Great Tip :)
Excellent as usual , you make every thing easy and nice to learn
Thanks for this Abeer, super happy to read it!
Without doubt, it's the best feature for the August release. Thanks for your work Bas!
totally agree! many new visualisation possibilities that open up with this feature! 😀
Great tips. Thx
This is amazing, great content. Keep on the good work
thanks so much 😎👊 definitely will
Hi sir, I had a requirement. I had sno, cpu temp, gpu temp, reported date, issue reported date, columns in my data set. I am using a line chart with yaxis as cpu temp, secondary axis as gpu temperature, xaxis as reporting date. Now I need xaxis constant line with issue reported date column. When I add line it gives me either earliest or latest date line. But I need to show all the lines from issue reported date column. How can I add multiple xaxis constant lines. I tried to do it but not able to do it. Can you please suggest me, how can I do it.
The best i have learned so much from you
