hi. meteorological spring is 1st March, astronomical spring (spring equinox) is 20th March and we need to wait and see if Phil sees his shadow or not to find out the 3rd. Hope that helps. Nick

Nick Barban is March 20th the first full day of Spring or first half day? And Phil didn’t see his shadow this hear so what does that mean?

23 Savage hi. 20th is the first full day. If Phil didn’t see his shadow, then there’s no more winter to expect. Doesn’t mean spring will be early but we shouldn’t see any serious winter conditions. However, I’m based in the UK and how all the different moving parts work, affects the US completely differently to the UK. But looking at all the other data I use, for the UK, wet and windy and considerably mild - at least for the next 2 weeks
