Oh, Broadbent. You lucky guy who did not have to deal with the land sharks. Lol. The worst bug this game has ever had.
Or the land whales that would knock your shit everywhere and usually into the ocean.

i'm surprised that he didn't mention the flying trees. like when you cut down the trees and they just take off.

I managed to hit a seagull with a fishing spear and it flew off with the spear stuck in it. I watched to see what would happen and it circled around and joined the flock with the spear in tow. Now that is a bug that I think they should leave in there cause its funny shit. :D
The "Items" (those are called Objects, by the way) are not "disappearing" just for no reason, the issue there is a level of detail change which seems to not be done correctly.
Another huge bug I encountered was not using up items when crafting. I had a raft on one island and wanted to build on it, but my supplies were on another island. So I went into god mode and flew to the island with the supplies. I used quick craft to select what I wanted to build, flew back to the island with my raft and placed the object. When I got back, the items I used to craft the object were still there. They were completely unused. So basically I kept those items even though I used them.... Sorry I suck at explaining, if you don't get what I mean I can try to explain it again :)
I don't think that number 5 is a bug. It's just the way the game renders islands. From far away you see a prerendered 3d image of the island and when you're close enough the game replaces the image with a render of every item on that island. That is why everything appesrs after another because the game shows the item as soon as it is done rendering. I would guess that this is the reason for the fps-problem when you're looking at custom islands. The game doesn't have prerendered 3d images of custom islands and it has to create the image you see from afar everytime you look at it.
I haven’t played or watched this game in years, now this was recommended, and it looks so amazing! Defidently playing, also you got a new sub :D
Hi, I created the maps Lim Hong's Lair, Palawan Playground, Mangrove Cay and Fantasy Island. The last update completely turned me off to the game after over four hundred hours. All of my custom maps I spent dozens of hours on are basically broken because I used the small "bush" asset which they replaced with a giant rock with a leafy texture. Why they did this instead of adding these giant bushes as a separate item is mind-boggling. They are nothing alike and the original small "bush" was a perfectly fine asset for floral texture.
The devs seeming lack of respect for players and mapmakers finally convinced me to give up on this game for good unless they drastically change their approach. I understand this game is early-access but the types of bugs I have experienced, along with all the bugs you mention here, have been an ongoing problem since the game was pre-released. The devs seem to have no interest in improving the player experience. Their only concern seems to be experimenting with new features, introducing new bugs regularly without addressing any old ones. I don't think all the recent developments are bad and some are quite good in fact. But I have no interest in further playing a game that so routinely breaks (or semi-breaks) with every update. I'm not angry, just disappointed.
From what I have seen, Escape the Pacific really looks to be building into a much better version of Stranded Deep!
djcrs1 Completely agree with what you're saying. After that update I spent 5 hours removing all of the bushes I had placed in 3 maps I had submitted to Broadbent. Had placed a lot of them on cliffs, extremely hard to target and remove. If they add more stuff in the future they really shouldn't replace it, but rather make it a new item like you're saying!
I often get the burning sound from my fire on my Gyro. I don't get the disappearing items, I get the exploding items that fly up in the air far out of reach, but accessible. Sails are annoying. Menu volume is so loud.
*Still 100 times smoother, better and less buggy than ARK: survival evolved.*

Now THAT, we agree on :) Mouse smoothing on the other hand is nice to get shots like I did in the beginning of the vid.

I know of another very malicious bug - flying containers. Just put the containers on the raft, swim to an island and go ashore. When you return to the raft, the containers shoot up into the air and fall into the sea.
I just purchased the game on ps4 but I can't even play it, I'm stuck in the loading user data. I tried downloading again but I still get the same issue.

they have driftwood right when it is out in the elements of the sea the wood density becomes like stone and you cant cut it with an axe easily so a pickaxe would be better
There's a bug in the game when I start my saved game and I press the inventory button, It won't open. This happens to me every time. They sould fix it.

I find watching you play this game far more engaging than the Forest or Raft I hope the Devs sort the game out so we can have season 3.
Number two is wrong, the squid can't attack if you damage it just before it attacks you. You did that every time before so that lusca had no opportunity to attack you, (pro!)
If you waited a bit longer before throwing a spear, it WOULD have attacked you. :P
So throwing the first punch causes it to not fight back?

Yeah that's pretty much how it goes, an example is if you lunge an attack at someone and they hit you first, it will be hard to finish your attack because you are feeling the pain of the previous attack. :P
The tree climbing bug killed me at the start of a new game. I started over so quickly after that. It was frustrating and pretty embarrassing.
One of the bugs I'm dealing with is the floor being higher than the foundation and even if I put the foundation as high as possible the floor has to be higher up I'm ready to do a save an build a foundation and floor and upload it to youtube cuz it sucks having the floor be a roof for walls
Is there anything I can do if my raft is going crazy and going inside of islands and coming out the other side or something? Me and my friend are experiencing this and we want to fix it

I recently got one where I saved my game on my raft. When I reloaded in, my motor and my anchor was gone from my raft . I was like 😮

Man this game sucks so many bugs. I keep getting thrown off my raft while sailing then die to sharks cuz i keep getting tossed off randomly

Hey Broadbent. It's a shame there are so many bugs after the updates, but that seems par for the course in games these days, unfortunately. I still love the game, too, even without having played it, The Forest OR Raft, just from watching you play & create. I hope they really step up on the Cartographer section, because that is a whole aspect of the game that becomes fairly useless. A feature that doesn't work. By the way, still watching regularly, on my YT TV app, but it doesn't allow chat, share or comments. My laptop has been out of commission for months & my cell just decided to stop working completely. I am using my kid's desktop after her bedtime, infrequently, to comment on my subbed channels & let folks know I am still watching in the background, even when I can't always interact. ;) Keep it up. Loving the different series whenever you post.
The game is made by a very small Indy company so it's to be expected.

What about that oil spill glitch you encountered in the very first episode?
A bug happens where buildings like walls, floors, roofs, etc, will have the texture duplicated but all pixels and it moves when I move. Is anyone else having this issue?
I sometimes have a glitch where I load my game but it loads to a black screen and noises play of my player drowning and eventually dying. The second time I load the game it doesn't happen but still.
Is it weird that I find that a bit creepy?
The bug with the menu buttons being automatically selected is some default setting on every button in Unity that literally can be fixed with the press of a button. I'm starting to think they need more devs.. hmu lmao
That 4th hit on mining really needs to get fixed. It would be great if the resource would automatically get moved to inventory.

July 2020 on PS4: My escape plane repairs disappeared. I have a formerly repaired plane with full water, fuel, and food with no way to re-repair the escape plane.
The devs have tweeted about this. If you tried to do the endgame in more than one ... visit? It won’t remember your progress. I believe there was an update making the plane parts craft able so you can make them again or some such. Check their tweets and update notes. You may also want to make sure your game is updated

I have an idea to start season 3... Utilize 3 of your best picked islands and start the third season with those 3 custom islands! Since the game cant handle all the occlusions at once. Place them as far apart as possible on the map. If that doesnt work try 2 islands mabie? Idk, worth a try anyway.

I have the worst fucking glitch sometimes even when saved just randomly it will delete my save file and make me start over so I constantly have to use the dev console to cheat myself back to where I was

Has anyone had issues with the fuel still? It only works for 1 batch of potatoes for me. After that, I'll make another fire underneath the still and light it, but it won't convert into gas. It doesn't make the boiling sound like it should either. Anyone else have a similar issue?
At this rate, i'll have to create a new gas still everytime I want to fill a jerry can. :/

How about crafting ? There is no way to exist out of quick craft if you have an item already highlighted. It forces you to make an item you have highlighted

I found a glitch/bug. I just used the binoculars for the first time. I dropped it and I still had the zoomed in look. So I went to sleep hoping that would fix it and it didn't. I picked it back up and held the left trigger at the same time holding B. That fixed that issue and caused another. I can no longer see my watch. I'm going back to the main menu to see if that trouble shoots my problem.
