I'm happy you liked it 😄 It does indeed true combo unless they have more than 75 poise in which case they can roll out. Painful strike is able to combo from various offhand weapons but also from the whip itself. I went with rakshasa's here because of the absurd damage on a dedicated dex build and because of its inherent hyperarmor while one handed.
