im a budding mangaka and i am still developing my characters for a manga that im planning to create soon called little roboticist, about a little girl around my age (11) who makes a robot brother for herself, but as she is only about 10, she doesn't get the design of the electro-brain right and instead of having a personality like your usual stereotypical 9 year old, the little robot boy ends up being mischievous , a bit silly, very brave, and with a strong sense of justice! and he can fly! the little girl ends up chasing her robot brother everywhere as he saves the day (and gets into trouble)!
the little girls name is shuri and the robot boys name is robotto (temporarily)
oh, and its set in the year 2080

And my opinion on the 3D pose rendering program is that as long as it's really accurate to how the human body bends, I think it's a great tool for learning artists ♡ I think such tools are best used for studying poses (redrawing the same poses over again in order to master it).
I've seen some 3D pose rendering programs render the wrists and ankles terribly, but either way, I think it's a great tool ♡ Also, if you can, try studying real humans for practice as well :D (by asking friends and family to pose for you ♡)

+dantexd25 Life inspires me ♡ My characters and their personalities inspire me; folklore from my mother lands and even being around my fiancé (who's a VERY talented artist ) inspires me ♡ We talk about how we can even be making tea and will come up with a new drawing idea or chapter to write :D Inspiration is eeecerywhere if you allow yourself to draw everything and find beautiful in even the smallest things ♡ And to answer your question, I was inspired to create Manga when I first found DBZ ♡ It was the first cartoon I ever saw where characters grew up, we're in danger, and could actually die! And when I saw that they actually showed the afterlife, I was completely in love! I realized that anime and manga weren't afraid to show contraversial issues and there were even Manga out there to help kids who were struggling with drug abuse and thoughts of suicide. the artistic freedom and minimal censorship really spoke to me and as an illustrator and writer I felt Manga was the perfect fit for me ♡
This is helpful. I already planned out half of my comic. It was tricky because year ago I did not do any research about how to make a manga correctly so all my thoughts and ideas were all over the place leaving me every time stuck on what happens next in the story. But now since I planned out the story again I realized that half of the ideas I had didn't even belong in the story xd. Im glad I found your channel.

I'm a frustrated artist who struggles to make my own manga. I've been doing some practices while I was in middle school without having a formal education about drawing and I'm thankful to come across your channel. Thank you for inspiring and helping newbies like me.
This is extremely helpful! The idea of a script helps a lot , over the past 8months-1 year, I've been randomly (school and sports gets in the way of thinking and then I distract myself and draw other stuff 😅) and have written out the basic plot, other sections of the story , a couple pages here-and-there with sections from the story , and character design but I'm never quite sure where to start . Thank you so much ❤️❤️ I also love that you're a traditional manga artist , I've don't very little digital art and personally like doing traditional art more, and I've been told that I need to do it , and this also proves that my manga doesn't need to be entirely digital , which I love ☺️☺️

Since I'm not very creative when it comes to writing the story, I have several friends who are creative with writing and now we are in the works of making their story into a manga :) As long as who ever is writing the story, as long as you give ideas about it then it also gives me the inspiration to make the story into a manga ^^ Thank you for giving the advice of writing a script to help layout the pages :D

I started my self taught drawing being inspired by Toriyama, Akira Sensei I used to draw identical to him, now I can't even make a DBZ fan art I just couldn't do it since I quite developed my own style. as of now I'm rusty and as you said I need to practice in order for me to recover my glory of drawing like a maniac lol. you draw traditionally like I do but I'm also exploring manga studio and using it to create manga! i'm quite used to the program quite a bit , there still a lot to learn from it lol. This series is actually very helpful. Though I do 90% of my work digitally it's awesome material that will "hopefully" (fingers crossed) help me later on. I have one story that is very dear to my heart and another that is already 27 chapters in that I can't get out of my head. I can literally see the scenes, see the characters and it really makes me want to draw up maybe not a manga or graphic novel but some kind of book to share with others my crazy fantasy world keke Your tips have helped in so many ways. Should I write out my story first or create my character sheets first?
You probably should first write a story summary, then create character descriptions, then write the story out
Characters definitely. Characters placed into a world create a story. As long as your characters have goals and conflicts then the story will come together on its own

When you're just getting started and are still working out some things in your story, there will be LOTS of editing :) But I still recommend having your story worked out before dedicating your time, money, and effort into creating a manga. No mangaka or author out there would EVER begin a story without having it all planned out, and no publisher in the WORLD would ever take on a story if the author hasn't planned out every last detail. Publishers require you to hand in a detailed run down of your story when submitting your story. So keep that in mind :) But if it's all for practice ad fun, do what ever works for you

Oh my goodnesz!! You plan just like me; I started out writing stories and only recently decided to put writing and drawing together. I always wait until I finish the entire story before I script it; it's during that process where changes are made. After that, while I plan out the panels more changes are made until it's just right. I find the process so much fun...I love it. Is that weird, lol
