LOL.,.,that one mic dead cat is so big that’s completely blocked the whole camera. I like the mini, it’s small and simple that you can turn the angle. The sound quality is acceptable. Another great testing video Larry. I kinda like the Dji Action 2 but it only has 32gb internal storage and it’s expensive too.

You can add a memory card. I do wish it had a 64GB or 128GB version available.

These are all straight out of the camera on default settings so yeah it would be worth it to bump up the gain on the Saramonic. Good catch.

Me too but pleasantly surprised.
Others say you just connect the Rode Go II using a normal USB-C > USB-C cable - sounds easy to me.
The Wireless Go 2 doesn't have a USB C connection for audio.
@@TodayIFeelLike To quote Rode - "In addition to its standard analog 3.5mm TRS output, the Wireless GO II features a digital audio output via the receiver’s USB-C port (which is also used for charging). This allows it to be plugged into any tablet or smartphone (or computer) over USB, without the need for adaptors or other audio interfaces." Also check out the other YT videos on this subject.

I got the dead cat from Saramonic and yes there is a considerable difference between the built in mic and the Saramonic.

@@TodayIFeelLikehey Larry, I bought the Saramonic UC mini for my action 2 thanks to this video but I find that the sound clips all the time. Have you found a way to lower the mic gain ?
@@reinoldg It is a pretty hot mic but you can go into the mic settings of the camera and lower the gain levels.
All the listings Ive seen for the Saramonic SmartMic Mini UC seems to think it only includes a foam windscreen. Did you have to buy the deadbeat for it?
The one that I bought came with it.
The ride usb C doesn’t work, it has static problems every 30 seconds or so

@@TodayIFeelLike hey yea it might a quality control issue but originally when I first got the action 2 and rode usb type c I was leaving comments on all the videos and others were experiencing the same issue. Works great with a pixel usb c to mic and the wireless go. But with this specific Mike it won’t work
I had some troubles with the Rode USB C Mic, after 1min on 4k, the sound fades. It seems it gets hot and then can't manage. Do you have any experiences with this?
I haven't had that trouble but try reaching out to Rode they are very responsive.
