A lot of the important moments in my development of a composer come from hearing John Powell and thinking " . . . oh." b68-81 floored me when I first listened, the interplay between violins, trumpets and horns is wondrous. Thanks so much for putting these online to drool over and ultimately be consumed by.
Is there a way to purchase the complete Solo score or parts of it (conductors edition, pdf) , using it as study material. These are such next level brilliant compositions. Powell as a nowadays Shostakovich in my opinion. Best Orchestral scoring composition there is at the moment I say.

At some points through out the track, I get How to Train Your Dragon vibes. Absolutely fantastic
Brilliant.
Awesome!
Hell yeah!
Absolutely bonkers. But the nice kind of bonkers.
It's so vibrant. I'd put it in 12/8 though...
3:18 onwards is a goosebumps moment. It would be great to hear more of the ideas in that section alone.
Wow!!!!!!!!
I love John Powell
Music by John Powell
Is it possible to get the sheet music for this?
Powell's physical score books are mostly published by 'Omni Publishing', if there's a place to find the Han Solo score legally, it's probably Omni.
Does this mean I can attempt making a piano cover score?
You do that too, huh?
@@FilmScoreandMore yup. But I've been waaay too busy to do it yet so thanks for reminding me
@@jonnyp1340 , understandable. Hang in there. I hope you get some work done on it soon if this is something you really enjoy.
How's it going? :)
@@ambarrivera6049 I've been so busy until end of June and now I'm on holiday so it's not been going at all 😂😂. Hopefully when I get back tho
Does anyone know if those triplet A octaves in bars 3, 4, 5 & 6 (at the top) are from the trombones? Thanks
Those are probably from the piano, as you can see around 0:56 for example. However, the piano is likely doubling the trombones, yeah.
Trombones are doing the 1 and the 5th of the chord at least for the first 3 repetitions
