Why do I always listen to band music that my band won't play.
No idea, but I do it too, so don't feel lonely
So do I lol
Saaame
same tho- it needs no explanation
Why do we always listen to music our band won't play?
Best Star Wars film since 1983
At 0:18 I can't get enough of the sax solo. It's so serene, yet adds a hint of adventure to the movement. Very....
MOVEing
Amazing piece! Wish my band can play this.
The music is what makes the movies so good in my opinion.
I quit band before high school so I just like to listen to this song to feel nostalgic
Where's the woodwind squad?
+Just Play Forget woodwinds! Low woodwinds are definitely better!
Yes! I play Bass Clarinet
1st oboist, reporting for duty
Flute
Low woodwind player ☺️
Oops I’m 3 years to late Lol
2:51 is why I love the Lydian mode. This the exact same key the Simpson's theme is in.
Well, almost...
This sounds like something my school's symphonic band 2 would play
Great mix! I loved TFA and Rogue One, both amazing films with amazing music.
Be careful not to choke on your aspirations... Director Krennic
I love Star Trek
Great!
When you’re the only person in existence who plays alto clarinet
you're not alone
does anyone know if they're gonna release an offical score like they do for the other saga films written by John Williams
LOW WOODWINDS SQUAD WHERE YOU AT?
EYYYYY
YOOOOO
BASSOON HERE BABYYYY
almost felt like a Star Trek soundtrack.
Ricardo Gonzalez Its the same composer for both soundtracks.
Ethan I know and some scenes felt like the same.
The Beginning
Disappointed that the track "Rogue One' was not included
Anyone find a tab of this. I need it soon, so if you know, please reply. Thanks!
WHAT THE HELL THIS IS ONLY LEVEL 3!!!!! My 8th grad band can't even play this but it can play level 5 music like WHAAAAATTT?!?!?!?!?!?!
Wasn't rouge one's soundtrack rushed?
eeman0201 Yeah. Giachinno came in for 4 weeks after the original composer left. Regardless, its an amazing score
Yeah but nevertheless great score
A better _Star Wars_ film than _The Force Awakens_ in my opinion.
Far more better
I really liked both, and before _Rogue One_ came out, I thought _Force Awakens_ was the best since _Return of the Jedi_.
I throughly enjoyed The Force Awakens, but Rogue One was just awesome. and the Last Jedi is even better (people say otherwise, but I stick by my thoughts after watching it around 15 times or so, including all the bonus features)
Mr. Fedora i think that solo will be good but the standard of the last few are so high i doubt it'll be as good as those
yes
IMPERIAL SUITE, subida de tono :/
This is a good arrangement, but I do miss star wars themes. I miss the start of the movie itselve where we can hear in a sense a Luke Skywalker kinda theme and why not have some small portions of the Imperial theme there in, both Darth Vaders Theme was in the movie and it should have ended with the real Star Wars theme. Or at least have shorter appearances of those themes, just to tell people that don't know that its in the star wars universe. And to be be honest, why didnt he do the suit in the end of the film instead. lol. But despite my thoughts here its not a bad arrangement.
Jerry Berglund Giachinno did just that in the original scores. I don't notice it here at all
I know that what I am saying... :-)
For the record, I uploaded my arrangement of Rogue One for Concert Band first. And I did it by ear.
Not as good as John Williams
Im so disappointed. My band could have played this but instead we're playing a selection from A New Hope 2: Electric Boogaloo
1:08 TROMBONES HAVE THE POWER
baritones play there too :
*cries in Alto Sax*
@@grey2969 would sound boring without the flutes ; )
LET’S GOOO
so does tenor :)
Currently playing this in class. Suffice to say, definitely one of my all time favorites.
2:52 baritones 👌
Awesome arrangement, as I like to practice conducting and playing at the same time I find the Imperial Suite (starting at 1:03) is slower than I would conduct at, I felt like it was dragging, but that is my only critic of this arrangement. Thank you again for the awesome music.
FINAAAAALLLLLLLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe it's the trills in the woodwinds and the rips in the horn/tenors but at 1:24 does anyone else hear the first movement of Mackey's Wine Dark Sea?
I'm sad. I'm gonna be done with high school and I won't be playing anymore star wars songs
how is this a grade 3 song
I agree it should be 4 or at least 3.5
Says grade 3, is actually grade 5
I still love how it ends with Krennic's Theme/The Imperial Suite. I first watched this back when it was uploaded on March 31st (I was 26 and a week shy of being 27 years old - which was April 6th 2017). 33 now. My daughter was born in December 2017. Time flies.
Im playing this for my band for spring concert
I'm in middle school and we are playing this for our spring concert I'm so excited to play it!!
Krennics theme was a little off. It needed more of his constantly playing throughout the movie horn melody
Can't wait for my solo! (The sax in the beginning)
Just learnt the t sax part AMAZING!
im addicted to these
1:56 big peen energy
Is rogue one a good move i cant decide if I wanna go watch it
Btw I love star wars
MAJakobsen Hell yeah it's really good go watch it
As good or possibly better than the Force Awakens.
Game Addiction In my opinion it was better
MAJakobsen it's in the middle
I mean awesome
Fun for woodwins, boring for brass.
Boring for brass??? Nah, brass may not be the most exciting part, but it sure gives the whole piece that Star Wars feeling of power and fullness.
~A Trumpet Player
Definitely not boring for trumpets
