Alpine Ave | M-37 | Grand Rapids, Michigan north to Sparta

Take a drive along Alpine Avenue from its intersection with Stocking Ave in Grand Rapids, north 13 miles to the Village of Sparta. It starts out in a traditional residential neighborhood and soon enters more suburban and rural areas. Alpine Ave picks up the M-37 designation at Interstate 96. This area is a large commercial corridor with many national retailers and big box stores. Closer to Sparta, M-37 veers from the Alpine Ave corridor as the state highway bypasses Sparta. Communities included in the video tour include the City of Grand Rapids, City of Walker, Alpine Township, and Sparta Township.
