I interpret the Pink Steven to be the embodiment of Steven's power coming from the Gem. All that held in power, once being Pink Diamond, now being just Steven. Normal Steven is just the human side that has started to grow up and mature and build a personality. He needs the gem because it is apart of him, he is the fusion between human and gem.
I wouldn‘t name Steven a fusion because in the episode in which Pearl, Garnet and Amathyst took Steven away from Greg, they showed us he wasn’t a fusion in despite of what Garnet thought

I’m really curious of why NOONE in the entire country or world has not notice all the stuff that’s happened in beach city!!! I mean COME ON!!!Like no one notice a giant multi colored robot land on the beach. No tourists came and was like “wtf!?” 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
So looking on that ending, it is a bit disappointing that the Diamond's are getting off with just a slap on the wrist. They were necessary to cure the corruption, and there really isnt any being in gem society to hold them accountable. So we just have to see where Era 3 takes them since Homeworld still has a resource problem. ON another note, Steven now has an army's worth of gems on Earth now, which means there should be a threat big enough to require it. Plus with however many gags over the season of Beach City being "Like 15 people" They could have gems move into town and we could see some that actually wanted to interact with humans like Rose did. Plus there's still the partial unresolved notion of Bismuth being the gem who Poofed Lapis to bring some drama into things.
While I loved virtually everything in this episode, there's one really minor thing that bugs me. Sadie Killer and the Suspects are a horror themed band, what with their eponymous song and *G-G-G-Ghost* . Why are they singing something as upbeat as *Drive Your Van Into My Heart?* Yeah, it's their manager's song, but there are other songs in his discography. *Comet* would be a better fit imho.

Plus, it's the old hometown show, so you have room to go offbrand to tribute your manager if ya want. Regardless of any else there is to come of the series, I still find this the sort of finale of Steven universe as most of the important stuff of the series is done and there was a resolution to the diamonds and Steven being his own true self with the powers inherited by pink

Also the cluster and the forced fusions are still a problem... And there's multiple gem colonies right? So we might see some of those. There's a bunch of stuff that can still be done!
I know this is a year late, but the reason for colonisation is to expand their empire. Reason for cluster was a geoweapon. I guess you could ask why they need a geoweapon but that's like saying why countries have nuclear bombs.

I love how they managed to throw some fights and epic action into this season finale and still make it end with Steven talking to white and making everything great!
They have extra space. A smart move would be to create a new enemy. Gems can’t be the only species outside of the universe that could pose a threat there has to be more. There has to be a reason why the gems populate worlds to increase thier numbers for thier armies. There’s gotta be a species of enemy they are preparing to fight against. It can’t just be increasing their number for the sake of it. Pretty sure they have enough numbers and they have a lot of very powerful ones too. It’s highly doubtful at least from a story progressing point of view that they are doing it for no reason whatsoever. They are most likely preparing in the event of an invasion, a world destroyer of sorts, maybe call them “Light Eaters” who feed off the lights gems produce in order to keep thier species alive. They feed off the projections thus essentially killing the gem in the process. It’s just my theory, but it could easily fit into the story. Like for example open the new season on homework’s, the diamonds are having a meeting and they get interrupted by a ship that crashes through the building of thier meeting. It’s a ruby and a quartz soldier saying “we barely made it out” the gems question what happened they respond “they are coming! We need to evacuate!” White diamond stands up and stares at the stars and sees something approaching and she responds “they are already here. Prepare the battalion, gather all available soldiers, we are at war!” Scene ends and it cuts to Steven and the crystal gems on earth living thier lives. When a ship containing rubies arrives and the rubies are there seeking the aid of the crystal gems to help fight the threat. Ayyy I will continue the story my damn self 😂

I think it's safe to assume that a new story is starting next season, like Rebecca said "she's writing herself into a corner" but we know more is coming, and there's so many episode ideas coming, overall fantastic episode
You know what I think is the ending? the planned movie, Think about it, you have all these new charters/new forms on the "Last Episode", you also have that suspiciously smooth animation near the end, and this multipart episode chain is called "Change your mind, for a bomb call "Battle of HEART and MIND", AND the mini ad for the movie as a heart as the main element. Are we gonna see the origins of the Crystals?
People say this was all rushed, and to an extent it was but it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. It was a great episode and a great "finale".

I love how they managed to throw some fights and epic action into this season finale and still make it end with Steven talking to white and making everything great!

They have extra space. A smart move would be to create a new enemy. Gems can’t be the only species outside of the universe that could pose a threat there has to be more. There has to be a reason why the gems populate worlds to increase thier numbers for thier armies. There’s gotta be a species of enemy they are preparing to fight against. It can’t just be increasing their number for the sake of it. Pretty sure they have enough numbers and they have a lot of very powerful ones too. It’s highly doubtful at least from a story progressing point of view that they are doing it for no reason whatsoever. They are most likely preparing in the event of an invasion, a world destroyer of sorts, maybe call them “Light Eaters” who feed off the lights gems produce in order to keep thier species alive. They feed off the projections thus essentially killing the gem in the process. It’s just my theory, but it could easily fit into the story. Like for example open the new season on homework’s, the diamonds are having a meeting and they get interrupted by a ship that crashes through the building of thier meeting. It’s a ruby and a quartz soldier saying “we barely made it out” the gems question what happened they respond “they are coming! We need to evacuate!” White diamond stands up and stares at the stars and sees something approaching and she responds “they are already here. Prepare the battalion, gather all available soldiers, we are at war!” Scene ends and it cuts to Steven and the crystal gems on earth living thier lives. When a ship containing rubies arrives and the rubies are there seeking the aid of the crystal gems to help fight the threat. Ayyy I will continue the story my damn self 😂

No, they're non-binary, just like all of Steven's fusions. They are the first Gem to have a male voice actor other than Zach Callison, though.

I think it's safe to assume that a new story is starting next season, like Rebecca said "she's writing herself into a corner" but we know more is coming, and there's so many episode ideas coming, overall fantastic episode
