Chris makes everything he teaches very easy to understand and follow. It's no small wonder why Marty is a great instructor also. You both have raised the bar on ways to teach guitar. A huge "Thank You, Chris and Marty!"💯💯
The collaborations you do are so insightful. Each guest has their own unique way of playing guitar, and they all share their wisdom so wonderfully. Not to mention extremely clean playing.
I have watched many UA-camrs explaining triads, but they never get to 10% of this video. This is the easiest and by far, the best way to understand triads. Thank for this great lesson.
I have been working a lot lately on triads trying to "memorize" positions, but the way you just explained it and showed us the breakdown makes it much easier to understand for me. GReat lesson. Thanks for sharing.
I have been finally learning theory after years (30+) of tab/ear training. You and Chris have really made understanding the fretboard a lot easier for me. Thank you both!
This was an excellent lesson. Can we get a part two where we go into some chord progressions and soloing over those changes through the different shapes of the triads? Amazing as always.
Hey Marty , I started learning with your vids over 10 years ago , still playing now. Much respect for what you do!!! Ross , from Dundee..Scotland 🏴😎
I’m just now after a few years of lessons really getting into this Topic. This video was Heaven Sent Brother. Thank you. Excellent Breakdown and emphasis’ of using 3 chords etc.
Chris thanks That opens up a new world on the instrument..Ive been playing some of those triads but never associated them within the chords in this way..Spend some time learning this and you are right..Thanks much....
It was a bit over my head but i have been looking for where to go after learning open chords…i get the whole concept of this and il start learning the notes on the neck better to try to construct triads!
@Marty Music There are lots of videos about triads. How about showing us the triads in action against a backing track? Slow songs, fast songs, different genres etc. Love the channel!
That's great RJ. Anytime to get crack open the mystery a little bit it goes a long way. Thanks for watching. Love that explorer by the way, I have one hanging in my office as well...I need to play that more often!
This is sooo true its just playing them over and over untill they are stuck in your fingers and brain I do this for a warm up of the ones my fingers know try substituting them here and there so they become part of your vocab🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍
We know u like Green Day Marty. They just released a new single today called “the American dream is killing me” could u possibly do a lesson on that sometime. Thanks 😊
Hey Marty I'm back on playing the guitar I have a request can you make a tutorial On autumn leaves by Pepe Romero Jr. You've been a great Teacher on the guitar and I really hope you can see this comment thankyou..

Triads have become my favorite thing. It's really helped me to open up the fretboard and being able to make up simple songs.
I have been working a lot lately on triads trying to "memorize" positions, but the way you just explained it and showed us the breakdown makes it much easier to understand for me. GReat lesson. Thanks for sharing.
As someone really new to guitar, this was a great way to understand the theory of the neck alot better. Good stuff

Love that idea. I've got a few like that on my channel, but I owe Marty a couple more vids here, so that's a great idea! Thanks, Dan.

Nicely done. Not only did Chris explain triads, but also inversions and the CAGE system, without even mentioning those terms.
I’m just now after a few years of lessons really getting into this Topic. This video was Heaven Sent Brother. Thank you. Excellent Breakdown and emphasis’ of using 3 chords etc.

Learning triads was the moment I felt like I could start playing guitar as a musical instrument
Would you mind doing a lesson on Hardy Truck Bed please

So glad you and @curiousguitarist are cross-posting! I love both your channels.
Hey, :)❣️ It's Chris! 😊
At first I thought Marty had been lifting some weights! Great video!
Great lesson, I've been needing this. 😊 also, I was wondering if you could do a lesson for playing god by polyphia? Plz!
I would rather learn triads for each 1 4 5 than where to play one triad all over the neck.
This lesson makes it so you can find them yourself. Great video!
We know u like Green Day Marty. They just released a new single today called “the American dream is killing me” could u possibly do a lesson on that sometime. Thanks 😊
🤯

As opposed to change how I look at chords only temporarily? 🤷♂️
Seriously! How can I rember all this?? Easier just to learn a standard C!!!
Hi! who can teach me? Soukora by Ali Farka Toure
How is this not caged?
