A very nice looking Darksaber. I purchased one from Vader's Sabers it's the dark edition, with Xenopixel v3. It's one of my favorites in my saber collection!!! THIS IS THE WAY!!
@@tempest5363 Well, probably the main difference between the two is that the Xenopixel v3 uses an app that allows you to essentially customize the blade anyway you want: change colors, blade and ignition profiles, volume, blade length illumination, etc. To be fair, the v2 and v3 both have the same fonts, but with the v2, you only have the hilt and the activation switch to change the volume, colors, blade profiles, fonts, and ignitions. Xenopixel v3 streamlines all of this with the use of an app. It's really incredible:) I think you would be quite happy with the Xenopixel v3. Great question:)) MTFBWY.

So, I received my Jedi Fallen weathered lightsaber from Neo Sabers on Thursday evening and due to lack of understanding I was having trouble properly operating any of the functions. I was thinking I received a malfunction lightsaber but absolutely not, Thanks to Neo Saber excellent customer service and support they sent me instructions to better understand how to familiarize myself with operating the device properly.
Based on your reviews. I purchased one of these and I love it. The weight. The feel. The balance. The light. The sound. All excellent. The only thing that seems a little silly to me is that it talks when you disengage the blade. Given that it has a proffie 2.2 board, I'm sure this can be changed, but I do not know how to do that. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction?
Update: I recently had my Darksaber blade signed by Giancarlo Esposito and Emily Swallow at FanExpo Portland. I wanted a new blade to play with so I don't damage the autographs. Artsabers doesn't sell the blades separately on their website, so I emailed them, explained the situation, and they made an exception for me and sold me a replacement blade. Their customer service truly is second to none.
When saber smiths first started selling their versions of the Dark Saber, none really had that "wow" factor. The way the blade was constructed just seemed like it was asking to break in the emitter. So I've held off purchasing one. Seeing this Proffie version from Artrsaber seems very tempting, but not while I'm waiting for other purchases. Maybe for May the 4th I'll consider it. At least these don't seem to be a limited edition like some hilts are.

After having my SN Pixel Darksaber for a week, I'd say it's probably comparable to the Xeno Pixel from Artsabers. Only quibble I have with mine is the blade tip is missing a led.

Obi-Dad Kenobi, you have given us another exceptionally detailed review: thank you. While the Darksabre is cool (in isolation), I personally have no emotional or nostalgic attachment to it. wow for something that is more of a budget saber I'm impressed! Im not that big of a neopixl darksaber fan as I think it looks weird in anything other than white and with the darksaber sound font but this one is very well done and even looks a lot like the Korbanth one!
@@FindingTheForce probably just for the electronics, some hilts have 2 button layout and some have single button, proffie supports both but its really just user preference. Also for the higher end sabers TXQ sabers (which artsabers sell) like this one usually use 2 button layout for some reason.
@@Huamogus501st From my take, it's from where ever they buy the control boards from. Cost vs features. It's also easier/cheaper to set up a hilt for one button, so the haptic engine is used as another control. It's already part of the control board, so why not utilize it as a secondary control?
@@chalion8399 A lot of the higher tier sabers run on proffie boards which can be configured as one or two button. For lower tier boards like Sn pixel this is definitely the case though.
@@Huamogus501st Yes, I have quite a few that use 2 buttons (proffie and CFx - no golden harvest yet though) and starting to get a couple of them with 1 button and gesture controls. They've quite improved neo pixel over the last 5-ish years or so.
Probably the best Darksaber I’ve seen. Artsabers’ products look so cool. What do you think of the quality of their baselit sabers? I’ve been eyeing that Ezra Bridger lightsaber for some time.

Thanks a lot Rico, same here! Both of which are in my background, of course. Ha ha but we did have the old Boba Fett helmet until the targeting sensor broke off. I think that was even my fault because I tripped over it or something ha ha.

Now when it comes to lightsabers, there is a big difference in something like an Artsabers neopixel and black series lightsabers and the price difference is justified .
I recently got this Proffie board darksaber from Artsabers. Less than 24 hours later the blade stopped lighting up. I made sure not to hit it on anything or swing it around too much, I used it for about 2 hours the night before and the next morning it would not light up. Contact with the pins in the hilt are solid, its charged, and the sound and functions all work. I'm wondering if anyone else had this issue and knows of a fix? Might my blade be defective? I reached out to Artsabers but have not heard back yet. (They also have not honored a return request on a different saber from 3 weeks ago, still telling me they are waiting for the return label to send me). So, I am starting to have doubts about them and would like to ask here if anyone had this experience. Thanks in advance.
The silver colour on the hilt isn't actually accurate, the one used on show is more like the hasbro and Disney one, whilst the top isn't chrome the bottom part is actually black and grey rather then black and sliver just putting it out there
IDK i'm torn between this Artsaber version and the Hasbro Force FX one. As both hilts are highly detailed but the cracks i'm not too bothered if they're on it or not so should i save myself money and buy the Hasbro or spend the money for the Artsaber. Edit - THE speaker placement is the decider the Artsaber vereion is the better option as it's placed at the bottom which makes more sense the Hasbro one has it placed at the sides of the hilt when you pick it up your hand covers it a massive oversight.
Great review, so I’ve ordered one from Artsabers had question got order number the Same day and it’s been 5days and still no email saying when it’s going to be shipped nothing said it’s in stock and ready to ship. Add I have emailed them several times and have not heard back so I’m just wondering if this is the standard procedure for them and just be patient Any advice would help. I bought what looks like the same one direct from txqsabers. Do you notice the individual neopixels on the blade from certain angles? That would be my only gripe about the saber, otherwise it’s awesome. Great video! Thanks for your awesome content
It is. That's the only issue for this type of Darksaber. I heard several owners of those that TXQ sabers might update that problem. But I have not heard much about it eversince. But to be fair.. even the screen prop Darksaber (with no CGI) shows a lot of LED on certain angle.

@jacklock I got my Kylo bucket off of Etsy from HelicalHyperCom, highly recommended it. It’s cheaper than almost all the other Kylo helmets I’ve seen and is extremely movie-accurate. It is also pretty comfortable with tactical helmet padding.
You may have caught this by now, but from what I see in the video, your darksaber has the same issue mine had: the config file that it came installed with calls out 129 leds, but the strip inside has 130. From what I see the tip of your blade looks dark, and I'm guessing this is the reason.
It seems like a common issue for the Darksaber blades. The tip of the blade looks like that because the strip cannot reach it or the warehouses couldn't make it that way. Not just this blade, official replicas and Korbanths have a same problem.
Hey, I was looking online and I found a xenopixel darksaber made by Damien sabers, everything that Artsabers has it appears Damien also has and it's cheaper. Do you know which you would recommend? Im not sure if the difference is in audio or light or something else, I just wanted some insight because there's nearly a 120 price difference between the two
Hey Casek. First, make sure both have the same sound board. Second, they may charge you fees and shipping during checkout. Third, I would trust the warranty with Artsabers. 😉
He will suggest Artsabers. But since the Korbanth one is wayy to pricey, this version is a nice replacement. But if you want more cheaper than this, check all the vendors who sell this TXQ Darksaber.
@paulb3151 From the brief glimpse we got, I'd say no, but can't be sure. I know of another company that seems to sell the exact same hilt and they show the chassis via the electronics and don't see any media storage that's removable.

I think they’re nearly identical, although the other one has a single button hilt. Not sure why?

Seems like 32. Because mine is quite longer than that.
Also the black layer on the paint size is different. Obi-dad has a thicker one.
