Another great band I grew up with from the 60's. They had so many cool songs such as "Summer In The City", "Jug Band Music", "Nashville Cats", "Rain On The Roof", "Did You Ever Have To Make Up Your Mind?", "Daydream" etc. John Sebastian was their lead singer & went solo in the 70's. He had a hit with "Welcome Back" from the 1976 TV series "Welcome Back Kotter" (starred a young John Travolta).
I hope you try the studio versions. Do you believe in magic is one of the greatest songs ever, a trulibute to the transcendent ability of music to create magic....and this song captures it in just a little over two minutes.
This live performance is a VERY poor rendition of their song. You should listen to the original studio version. That is the version that made this a hit.

Younger Generation will make many pick up their ears.

I echo the sentiment. Try studio versions of both songs.
Africa you need to check out Summer in the City by Lovin' Spoonful, By far their best song.
Nashville Cats.
Maybe you should check studio version, though the instruments weren't bad the vocals were terrible

Beautiful girl.
Fantastic group and songs, terrible audio. You have to listen to studio recordings.
