Portuguese here. Instead of going to the Zoo, I would recommend the "Oceanário de Lisboa" (Lisbon Oceanarium). It's one of the largest aquariums in Europe!
In the same train you went to Cascais, you can stop by "Belém" where you have plenty of historical sites to visit and the famous pastry "Pastéis de Belém".
Also, if you go to Sintra, there's more than 60 palaces there. But of course the most popular ones are "Palácio da Pena" and "Quinta da Regaleira"

That beach is named - Praia da Rainha - The Queen's Beach, the portuguese royal family used to come here enjoy the summer

Going to Portugal this coming Saturday for 2 weeks vacation. Been living in Oeiras for 15 years before moving to US. That Santini ice cream shop is famous there, been going to Cascais many times. Portugal is beautiful, good food, nice people, nice weather.

I loved this series. I have to say for a non-shopper. You did awesome. I loved everything that you bought. Everything was so pretty. I never imagined that Portugal was so pretty. It has never been a place that I have ever thought of visiting. If you haven't been to Greece, I think you and Katie should go there. I could totally be friends with you. I live about 25 min north of you in Florida. I always hope to see you when I am in the UTC area. Maybe one day. 😊

The food in Europe doesn't magically make people lose weight. The portion sizes are just smaller and the food is less calorically dense. Sure, the foods tend to have higher quality ingredients and you might have less bloating, but its not some sort of magic that makes you lose weight. Also the cities are very walkable and you tend to walk a LOT. Calories in calories out, no exceptions to that rule.

Have you tried our Vinho Verde (green wine) or Rosé wine? During this very hot period, I suggest you try one of these lightly carbonated wines with a traditional portuguese meal. Very refreshing, they are a perfect combination, without being expensive. Try it...!

Katie is right meat is even processed is better for you than USA kind but that because some pesticides that are still used in the USA are banned in the EU, Which Portugal is in. Same applies to Eggs & meats & Sweets. Because most junk food doesn’t have yellow 5 , yellow 6 & red 40. FDA are to blame for that tho.

Mine is $10 a day and then after a certain amount of days it was just a flat rate of $100 and something for the month. I traveled through Europe for 21 days and I cruise often so it’s worth it to me
