    What I love about his videos is that he has repaired/restored so many nice brand tools and yet he stays attached to the same ghetto brand impact driver when doing work. :)

    Great videos, I like to put the new charger in the old charging station. Remove the charging station internals, replace with new charger and charge the lith batteries in the station as before.

    Amazing work man. Hope to try this out one day on tools. Currently helping clients by servicing their fishing reels follow most of your steps. Have you ever though of getting a ultrasonic cleaner for the part that require proper washes? I've heard that it does amazing work on cleaning.

    ...most fascinating to me is the battery rebuild...that could become a side business in itself...there a literally thousands of cordless tools piled in our garages begging to be restored, mostly due to battery issues...

      It is a business. There's lots of people doing this at greater or lower cost, with good or bad results. Ultimately, unless it's a company, you'll never get a guarantee the job's done right, and even then it's a dangerous affair. Battery packs are not something you mess with and get away with if you don't do it correctly.
      So that's why it's not a hit and miss, on both sides of the spectrum, customer, and service provider.

      @@aserta your so right, there are many aspects you must consider before attempting a battery restore/repair of this nature. For me, I just purchase a new battery and be done with it 👍

    I have this same impact driver.. U.S. branded. Still use it a lot as it fits the hand well and always worked good.
    I rebuilt the nicads a few times. Now I've just mated the handle insert of the battery to a 3-D printed DeWalt adaptor. Now it accepts Dewalt 12v Li-Ion. There are no adaptors made for these old Hitachi drills

    Can you give links for batteries and BMS. I buy BMS on ebay but quality is poor. Excellent restoration. I hope you use high AMP wire
    to the third battery.

      He has to get them out of the rain ditch. Probably where he puts them after he buys them at a junk yard. Nothing could corrode these as bad as this unless he stored them in the rice paddy
