What I love about his videos is that he has repaired/restored so many nice brand tools and yet he stays attached to the same ghetto brand impact driver when doing work. :)
Great videos, I like to put the new charger in the old charging station. Remove the charging station internals, replace with new charger and charge the lith batteries in the station as before.
Molto bravo, come é in uso dire due mani d'oro. Avessimo i politici con queste capacità avremmo risolto molti dei problemi del n.s. paese. Rinnovo i miei complimenti.
Amazing work man. Hope to try this out one day on tools. Currently helping clients by servicing their fishing reels follow most of your steps. Have you ever though of getting a ultrasonic cleaner for the part that require proper washes? I've heard that it does amazing work on cleaning. Thanks for video keep it up Cheers
...most fascinating to me is the battery rebuild...that could become a side business in itself...there a literally thousands of cordless tools piled in our garages begging to be restored, mostly due to battery issues...
It is a business. There's lots of people doing this at greater or lower cost, with good or bad results. Ultimately, unless it's a company, you'll never get a guarantee the job's done right, and even then it's a dangerous affair. Battery packs are not something you mess with and get away with if you don't do it correctly. So that's why it's not a hit and miss, on both sides of the spectrum, customer, and service provider.
@@aserta your so right, there are many aspects you must consider before attempting a battery restore/repair of this nature. For me, I just purchase a new battery and be done with it 👍
@@ltdees2362 even if we dont its still cool that people like this guy that restore these tools back to their original condition fully restored and back to work its fun to build and fix
Great work! love your videos, would like to see something complicated in future like reciprocating saw, or electric winch, or something similiar with lots of components.
@@miguelare3 Yes I know :) I saw every video from him, but you know something thats more challenging and prehaps more fun for him, if he has one ofcourse
Another awesome job. Would you be able to refurbish an old drywall mud pump that has never been taken apart to clean. Keep pumping out the videos. Thanks
I have this same impact driver.. U.S. branded. Still use it a lot as it fits the hand well and always worked good. I rebuilt the nicads a few times. Now I've just mated the handle insert of the battery to a 3-D printed DeWalt adaptor. Now it accepts Dewalt 12v Li-Ion. There are no adaptors made for these old Hitachi drills
Another fantastic restoration. This one's made in China. Any idea of the date of manufacture? The components still look good, before they started "value engineering" the tools.
I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to discover battery reconditioning business try t.co/YpdloYO92F ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my neighbor got great success with it.
Can you give links for batteries and BMS. I buy BMS on ebay but quality is poor. Excellent restoration. I hope you use high AMP wire to the third battery.
I was lucky to have thought about researching choices just before I shell out thousands of dollars for batteries. Fortunately I discovered this battery reconditioning program t.co/YpdloYO92F Thanks to it, Now I have got old but functioning batteries with no expense of getting new ones!
I thought , hey let's checks on local graig list, i'll fix one for myself. me ten minute later: wtf, a used drill is more expensive than a brand new one ?!
He has to get them out of the rain ditch. Probably where he puts them after he buys them at a junk yard. Nothing could corrode these as bad as this unless he stored them in the rice paddy
Oh my god! This is so original and new! You never see this on UA-cam! Please do another one for all who might have missed this enlightning work!
Calms me down before bed everytime!
What the hell are you doing every time that you need to be calmed down? :-))
Me 2 🤔

Better than new because it's Old! Very well done. You could make millions just rebuilding Battery packs.
Thanks for machine noise only.
Nice work....👍👍👍
I'd have painted that motor to prevent rusting again.
Great job as always

OMG, you did the integrated charging socket. This has made my lockdown 🙌🏻

Another beautiful job. You should slowly build a wood project with all your testing.
Yes, that is a good idea. thank you!
What you make with these old tools is awesome! Congrats!
very nice restoration. this is my favorite of your videos I've seen so far. very much like ASMR.
I'm glad you like it
You are a true engineer. lots of love for your hard work ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great Job.
Nice work my friend!👍
Great job! Like new staff!
I really love how you got 3 Lithium cells and charger into a NiCad battery pack.
I find this more relaxing than laying on a hammock under a palm tree by the beach.
Good job my friend 👍👍👏
Хорошая идея установки батарей и БМС платы в корпус. Для меня самое тяжёлое это Hitachi акамуляторы 12V
Да, тяжело поставить BMS в корпус аккумулятора.

Inspiring neat restoration, how you restore burned copper coils ?
I love your vidéos, please keep doing the good job.
nice job
good work, I watch your videos with interest. Where do you buy these 18650 batteries?
Very good

GOOD night ... very SHOW !!! but let me know ... do you use washing powder? to wash the box (housing)? thankful

Keren om reparasinya....itu dapet dr mana om barangnya
Perfect, i am from brazil
10:20 try using gasoline for cleaning the grease it's great
WD-40 Brake-cleaning fluid works great too !
It’s also flammable. Dawn dish soap is better and safe.
Great restoration as always! Out of curiosity , where did you bought the lithium batteries?
Браво, очень полезно
awesome
question; why do you have to use that machine to connect the batteries? why cant you just solder them together with those metal strips?
👍👍👍👍 great 👍 Great super
Thank you!
what kind of oil at 14:09 for the DC motor ?
It is car oil.
Amazing
I rebuilded one too but made my 18650's removable. (i don'tlike the recharging waiting time) :-))
nice thanks
What did you use to spray on the metal parts after degreasing them ?
Good job as usual. But, isn't that 5A li-on charger a bit high for 3s li-on batteries?
Greatt video, beautful work but I didn't hear it impacting, did you modify the audio?
Ótimo trabalho
Excelente trabalho tmj.
Where does he buy them rusted/broken tools from.
3 X 3.7V=11.1V Where does the extra 1.27V volt come from?
3 x 4.2 = 12.6V when the battery is fully charge.
Whats the other thing u used to clean apart from soda
Where do you get these tools at? Recycling centers? eBay?
Do you leave these outside in the ditch?
I bought them with their condition.
What kind of grease do you use at 19:27?
There were no brushes in the motor ?
日立的冲击批不错

these videos would be even better in 60fps, just a suggestion :P
Nice
Mmm, that slow-mo springen-sproingen tho.
How old is this drill? Is it maybe made in 2006?
That's a good motor! How old was this unit when you found it?
The Case.....The Carry Case .....Also needs a nice Bubbly Bath !!! Lol !
Simplesmente excelente.

I did not watch the video, but i paused and liked it first :D
