WOW!! LOVE this!! I LOVE cranberry and pop corn garland on my tree every year. Me n my daughter's used to do it with the REAL thing every year, til we all got a bit tired of it. THIS is great though. Get to use THIS ONE over n over!! Thanks for the great tutorial.
If you string the beads on the yarn first you can add them in without having that string going across the beads and you don’t need a second hook. Just a thought. Thanks for the video.
I chose not to do that because the inside of the wooden beads tends to be rough and moving them along the yarn for the full garland shreds the yarn to where it's not nice to work with and it looks terrible! If you were working with a plastic or glass bead, that method would certainly work.
As a thought, and if you have a doting elf or helper, sanding the inside of the beads and then perhaps coating them with a shellac or a polyurethane, or even painting them with high gloss red/cranberry or blueberry, or gold color might solve the rough inside surface problem, and allow the beds to be strung first. A LOT of extra work for sure, but maybe there’s a good elf looking to help someone? Lovely pattern as demonstrated. Thank you. 🎄🎄
@@sashapup0061 you can take beads and put them in your ball of yarn then as you are crocheting when you need a bead you slide it over from your ball to your work. I hope that helps. The videoed way also works well and she seems to think that the method I suggest (as just another way) can fray your yarn if your wooden bead is too rough on the inside. There are lots of beads and made out of many kinds of materials so might work well for you or might not. I hope helps.

Sara used 100 red, 20mm wooden beads. We will be carrying a kit for this project that will include the beads as well. The kit will be available very soon.

You can use 2 skeins of yarn and hold them together. You could take one skein and pull both ends and re-ball as one ball. It kind of depends on how big you want your garland to be...
What a simple project with endless uses. Thanks for sharing

I’m going to make one for fall. I have leftover orange yarn and natural colored beads. We’ll see how it goes.

@@MissouriQuiltCo you are sold out of the kit. I do not see where we can get the free pattern. I don't see the link for it.
No information on bead size or where to purchase, only the yarn you used
The PDF tutorial says they are 20mm beads.

Where can I get those beads? What size are they?
You are crocheting with 2 threads on this, correct?
Yes, Sara is using 2 strands
That's right! One strand from each skein.
What size beads?
20mm

I just pulled yarn from 2 skeins at the same time!
