Yes... The new version that came out towards the end of 2015 have the zippered pocket and yes the pocket is slight larger than the old version, I'm loving mine. It's the same price as the older version. I just purchased the Speedy B 25 in Mono made in 47th week 2015 with the zipper pre loved. I also have 2 other Speedy 30 made in 2016 with the zipper. I love it!
I have a 25 Speedy Ebene dated SP4007 that I got on eBay in January 2009, and the handles lost that nice sound years ago. It's my go to bag all year long when I get easily burned out on the other bags. VERY happy with the size, can cram so much into it. The brass is still as nice and I have the lock looped through the hole of the leather zipper pull. So easy to grip and zip :)
Love this bag! It's definitely my next purchase. I hope by the time I get it LV makes the hardware changes to the shiny gold for all! Lol. Wishful thinking right! 😏 My husband just gifted me the Neverfull MM in Monogram and I love it too!

Not sure if it still creaks but mine does/did it but you can add some lubricant (Vaseline, conditioners) to the places where the hinges meet the leather or canvas and the problem has solved. It doesn’t bother me so much with the speedy but with my Brahmin it drove me crazy. I have a speedy Bandouliere 30 and it had a zipper and it doesn’t seem like the pocket isn’t any bigger. My iPhone doesn’t fit it! 😂 Loved the review!
Yes, the inner zipper definitely shorten the opening of the side pocket and make it even harder to put things in or out. I really prefer the original version.
Haha I love the sound of the bag!!! My monogram one doesn't do that, I think it's the treated leather. My hardware is also all the same color. I have heard that a lot aren't though. You could have them send it off and replace them for free if it's under a year. Great review. I too love jerushas videos. The monogram is going to slouch a lot more than the DE. I wonder about the zipper inside as well.

Thanks for the update. I agree that squeaky noise can be annoying. Do you feel like the strap is too stiff when wearing as a crossbody? Also did you get wrinkles under the handles?
Hey Jen! The strap was DEFINITELY stiff at the beginning but it's gotten better over time. I haven't had any wrinkling under the handles although the underside of the crossbody strap has some little ones forming from just getting broken in. Unfortunately thats part of the wear and tear on an ebene strap versus a buttery vachetta strap.

like yellow shiny gold (chanel kinda gold) and pale yellow gold (poorly made one) and more matte, that bothers me as well, i do hope lv improves their coating on the other parts of the hardware enough to last for years

Rizka Nadanti I'm not her, but I had the NF MM for 3 years and finally decided to sold it and get this speedy 25 bandouliere and it's the best decision I've ever made. My NF was half empty all the time, you can't zip it, you can't wear crossbody, you can't dress it up, so the speedy bandouliere takes care of all of this. And it fits a lot!
I have this bag in a 35 that I had for eight years in the same print four days ago I just bought a new one the 25 like you have with the zipper I don’t like it the pocket is so small compared to my 35 but I like the 25 better and you know that the gold on the side don’t Match because it’s a matte finish
+MJ12 I've watched a lot of videos, and from the "1 year update " I have not seen their gold changed as dark as yours or theirs have changed but it's still light. Maybe you should take the lock off the zippers because it has been more exposed to the sun. Or you can try go the LV store and get new ones. I'm just saying because, it shouldn't be this dark after 6 months and I've seen girls that have theirs for a year, and have not get like this yet.

The zipper is completely unnecessary for such a small bag/ small pocket. I was thinking about selling the 25 de b because I think I want it in the size 30. I wish the pocket was connected to the bag and not a flap up type of pocket. But they probably wouldn't do that because the canvas of the bag is so thin you would be able to feel what the contents are inside of the pocket or it would cause canvas to stretch out. All in all I like the bag, but I do happen to love the Neverfull a bit more for functional reasons...like it can carry documents, umbrella, water bottle..etc. I guess I am realizing I like tote styled bags. Even though I just like this bag...it is quite a difficult decision to pull the trigger and sell it.

You can use some brasso for the lock to make it lighter and shiny

Totally get all of that, totes are SO easy you just can't go wrong.

The reason it makes noise is because it’s made out of PVC, which is plastic. The same plastic that is used to make PVC pipes.
