After 8 years owning a Tyros 5 I decided to change it for a Korg PA5X and after 5 months I can honestly say that I like the Korg styles more than Yamaha's and it sounds more like a real music to me, although Yamaha has better articulation voices mainly the woodwinds. For more contemporary music Korg is better. And it has a built in synthetizer, much better keys, seemless sound transiction you can deeply customize everything. When I receive it I didn't get the sounds that I was expecting right out of the box and I was not so happy. After some time learning it and adjusting everything to my personal taste, I'm loving it. I can understand why many professional players prefer the PA. Yamaha is easier to use, Korg more customizable.
I had a Korg Nautilus 88 and a Yamaha Montage 8. I sold the Nautilus and kept the Montage, not the least because of the keybed. So obviously you don't mean the hammer action. So the Korg synth action is better than Yamahas? That would be interesting for me, because I am looking into buying a Genos 2.
Our hope is that Yamaha keyboard users, especially those of us with disabilities, hope that the Yamaha keyboard can again be accessible for us visually impaired people. We hope that the voice guide can be perfected, so that we, especially Yamaha keyboard users who are blind, can operate the Yamaha keyboard optimally.
I have met with a major flaw with the Genos 2. There is no seamless transition when changing between Style Variations and also, more grave, Voices. This is evident when you try and change from a Registration to another. For example if in Registration 1 I use 1 voice whilst Registration 2 uses 3 voices, when I change from Reg2 to Reg1 whilst still am playing a key on the right hand (Right1+Right2+Right3), the note of that key becomes loud and you have to release it for it to go silent. This is very annoying to hear and is not acceptable. It is a bit difficult for me to explain without showing you by a video clip or otherwise. My Roland E-80 I purchased 16 years ago doesn't do this and is seamless when both changing Styles and also Voices and thus Registrations. I'm suspecting this could be corrected by a future update of the OS. I would like to hear some comments about this issue especially from those who bought a Genos 2 before I try to contact Yamaha. Thank you
Transition can be seamless - but only if all of the voice parameters are the same between the 2 voices. Otherwise, new parameters are applied and you hear the difference.

Thanks for the video and the cool trick to add a second insert effect to get a much better dirty organ sound.
