So this is my first period story.
I was in 6th grade and has recently turned 12, and overall just started middle school. It started off as a normal Monday morning, and my usual mood. Bored and a little tired and I wanted to go home. I had asked to go to the bathroom in fourth period, literacy. I didn’t feel any pain at all or anything weird down there. I had got in and when I pulled down my pants and underwear, my heart stopped. There was blood everywhere. I knew what it probably was but I was not expecting it at all, I just finished business and went back to class, still in shock. I wasn’t scared though. Next class I got ahold of myself and I went to the bathroom again, this time grabbing one of two pads I had packed in my backpack only a few weeks beforehand, thinking that I wouldn’t actually need it and forgetting all about it. But I’m the moment all I could think was “oh my god, that was actually a smart move. It actually paid off.” It has gotten in my pants but with god level luck they happen to be black that day so it was barley visible. I just put on the pad, I wasn’t completely sure if I was doing it right but it physically felt like I had, and so I went on with my day. Skip ahead to writers den ( A fun after school club I had on mondays ) and I walked in with my friend Virgil, who was also in it and as we were I whispered in her ear “I’ve started” she looked at me and said “started what?” I stared at her and a moment later she said “ohhh, THAT.” She said it with a smile and very amusingly. I then realized the male teacher who took apart in hosting writers den was staring at me, I didn’t even realize he was right next to us until I looked over, he continued to stare at me as I was walking just moving his eyes with a facial expression that told me he heard and he knew exactly what it meant in the circumstance. It was incredibly awkward lol, I knew he heard me and he probably knew what it meant. Anyway, I texted my mom during writers den saying that I got my period she she replied with “are you okay?” We had the conversation and we went to buy pads and a small treat after school, it turned out good in the end and wasn’t a disaster.
Wow that didn't sound bad, but when I told my friend that I got mine.. She said "I'm actually proud of you"..I sat there and stared at her in confusion 😂

i am 11, and will be 6th grade in 2022 and still dont have mine. my friend who is 10 got hers in november, and you and her (and other people ive seen on these) have just texted their parents like "hey guess what i got my period" but my #1 fear is telling my mum, she tells me not to be embarrassed but i dont think ill follow that, it will just be so awkward😖

As a Christian, it really angers me when people are like "periods are of the devil"
Like girl what Bible you reading? A period is perfectly normal, the only thing mentioned is not have period sex, but otherwise there is literally NOTHING wrong with having a period. Its just a thing that happens to women, like, they didnt' ask for it.
If you have your period, you are perfectly normal, if some ignorant Christian said otherwise, I apologize on their behalf.

@@charlottegreen9581 basically that a man should not "make naked her fountain". Basically you would be tainting the woman while she is preparing for a new cycle. She is to be clean as she is cleansing, don't get in the way of the process.

Period horror story: Yesterday I was on the bus with my friend, she was on her period. My friend got into a fight with another girl who was also on her period. I was in the same seat as the two girls having a fight. My friend leaked through her pants onto my lap. I was horrified, I cried so hard that I fainted.

My first period story:
I was in middleschool when I got my period. It was the end of the day and I was getting on the bus. At my stop, I got up walking down the isle, I hear people laughing. I felt really awkward so I kept my head down. Getting off the bus, my bus driver called me out and got mad because I couldn’t “hold it in”. The next day, he said I couldn’t get on the bus because I stained his seat. From that day on, I have never ridden the bus.

My fist period I didn't even know, I got my first period when I was 10, I had even asked my mom what a period was months prior. She said she'd tell me when Im older, so NOTE THIS COULD ALL BE AVOIDED. I had gotten a slurpee, and it was red, so when I went to the bathroom and saw red I thought somehow my pee had turned red!! Nope, and I wasn't concerned, and mine wasn't brown like others, but after a couple days I was worried and told my mom, she said "oh I think you got your period" and explained it, she said it lasted 5 days, NOPE I had a super heavy first period lol, but didn't bleed through until day three, SOMEHOW. Oh and by the way, my mom refuses to buy me tampons 🙃

The first story Sharon read off actually reminded me of something. So, I was convinced that I was going to get my period for the first time at swim practice because I had all the signs that I was about to get my period but I didn’t although the very next day I did get my period. I’m so glad I got it at home instead of swim practice because knowing myself I probably would have been freaking out. Now that I’ve had my period for a while I know how to handle those situations but I certainly wouldn’t have back then.

also, another friend if mine went and saw a broadway show and one of the actresses had it onstage
*mad respect to broadway actresses for going onstage eight times a week during their periods*
One time I got an infection in my bladder, so I was peeing blood. And my guy cousin thought I started my period, I didn’t know what that was at the time. I had to go to the hospital and get on medicine and I thought that was my period until I told my mom and she finally explained it to me.
Btw. It was PAINFUL

I'm so lucky. I got my first period at home, the second I sat on the toilet to take a morning pee. No school that day, it was a Saturday. And, I knew what periods were. I was so ecstatic because I thought I was finally a "big girl", now looking back it's not all that exciting. I don't get cramps yet, or ever will, but I get heat flashes & period itches. Plus, it's not fun after sitting down for a good hour, and getting up with the feeling that you're going to piss yourself but it's actually just blood.

Got my first period on Sunday last week. Woke up really having to pee and some pee and got on the toilet seat along with blood and later throughout the day there was more blood. Only lasted for 3 days and didn't get on the pad at all. I turned 13 last month on the 8th.

my first period was definitely horrific. I knew what a period was bc my mom had told me but she didn’t explain well bc she no longer gets her period due to surgery of getting her uterus removed bc of something dangerous in it. idk what it was. but she tried her best to explain it and so I was expecting it. HOWEVER, my grandma had just come back from the hospital like 2 weeks before and that’s when i first started my period. I thought it was gonna be like pee, you went to pee and some blood came out and then nothing until you peed again for abt a week. Idk what I thought pads were for but I was panicking bc I was home with my grandma only and I thought I was dying. I searched it up and thought “Is it my period?”
I tried looking for pads since I knew they were somehow involved with periods but couldn’t find any so I waited until my mom came home and she’s like “oh that’s your period, you don’t have to worry” and she showed me to put a pad on. I was like 10, turning 11 that year and the first to get it from my friend group 😭
lol i live an like half an hour from the school if you skateboard from school and got it while i was in class and wearing light colored jeans and was in a group of boys who didnt know so i had to call to leave then sprint home while it was -20 something out :))))

my first period story (not embarrasing cause it was in lockdown but still): i went to the washroom normally did everything but take a bath and did not even notice i was bleeding (rip my observation skills) and when i took a bath i noticed i was bleeding i was so scared i couldnt even tell my mom so i told ym best friend who had gotten hers for 2 years now she spent half an hour convincing me it was not poop at last i went to ym mom so scared and her reaction was... well.. "U GOT UR PERIOD?! "HAPPY FACE" so she gave me a pad i wore it and we had to do a prayer
