    Good video guys. You're doing a great job with the channel. We just got back from 5 nights at NYNY yesterday and we're still recovering. After covering MGM properties from The Dirty Castle to Bellagio I'm happy to say we maintained our gold tier and we will be back again soon. Looking forward to slots with you tomorrow morning. Cheers.

      Ooooh 5 nights at NYNY - We LOVE that property.
      And yay for Gold. I do love how MGM runs those tier promos to get you to play at different locations as it really encourages resort hopping and it turns earning tier points into a fun game.
      We have a fun session for Slot Play Sunday tomorrow also filmed at Wynn where we played Ultimate Fire Link Double Explosion after making this brunch video (and it’s quite a fun one because… monkeys 🐒 throwing fireballs ☄️)

    Release the Wynn Buffet Tasteless cut! :)
    It's a shame the buffet's are all closing in Vegas. I do enjoy a good one and this looks like it would be great to check out. I guess we''ve been reluctant because it is so expensive but seeing you guys enjoyed it makes me want to place it on our 'check it out' list for when we head out there again.

      We either got rid of the bulk of that footage off our Google drive or it’s on one of our external drives somewhere, but it just was not good feedback and was quite scathing.
      Long story short, for that first experience we went there on the Sunday night after we got married when the “Seafood Spectacular” was new (and paid about $75/person in advance plus an additional $75’ish there for the endless pour so we were in this thing for over $225 at that point). The stations all looked visually appealing, the food was made out of premium ingredients, but our main gripe was that things didn’t have much flavor or seasoning. Biggest offenders were enchiladas that were mild with no heat and bland chicken, carving meats that definitely could have used more of a salt rub or other spices during roasting, noodle dishes that could have benefit from more garlic, and seafood dishes that didn’t wow us as much as it should have. And when we got home and saw how critical we were, it’s just one of those things where we decided to just table making a Wynn buffet video during a future trip when we could give it a second try and given them a proper fair chance.
      This second experience though... Night and day.
      Things did have more flavor overall (there still were a few misses), but Wynn can definitely do a great brunch. I still maintain that they do play a lot of it safe but if you want the buffet standards with some premium ingredients then Wynn is a great option.
      We would go back, but we also will never hide it that we are both fans of Bacchanal over Wynn.

    Just a windy,rainy day here in Sacramento. Snuggling in bed with my coffee. Love the buffet video, but I can't eat that much these days! Paul I can't let you say that chicken leg was better than Costco!!! As a 37 year employee it's a great deal & very moist & NOT too salty.❤❤❤

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +2

      We don’t show it on the channel because this is a Vegas travel based channel, but we LOVE Costco. In fact as I am typing this James is at the Costco Business center buying us a whole pack of 5 Hour Energy just to get us through our trip next week 😂😂😂
      Costco is LIFE!!! And I am team Chicken Bake 🐓 over the Double Chunk Chocolate Cookie 🍪 in case anyone is wondering.
      And those chickens are great. I think I was saying that mostly because our experience with chicken on the buffet line has never been good, and Costco rotisserie chickens are good, so this one really surprised me.
      And yay for 37 years at Costco - It’s such a great store and literally how we save money to afford to do these trips ❤️

    Happy they redeemed themselves. Covid destroyed pretty much all buffets in Ontario, Canada save a Chinese restaurant called the Mandarin. Glad you 2 are well and if I don't get the time to watch your next video, Merry Christmas!

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +2

      Merry Christmas to you as well. I am so glad they redeemed themselves because people love this buffet a lot and we sadly were disappointed on that first visit for the Seafood Spectacular. But Brunch was delicious even if there were a few hits and misses.
      I will still stand by saying it’s a great option for a premium buffet and I would recommend it to others.
      Sadly Covid destroyed a lot of the buffets in Vegas as well. We are the point where the big two are Bacchanal and Wynn, with Palms doing the lobster thing mid week, and then the MGM rotation of hit or miss buffets.

    I’m getting full just watching this. How would you compare it to the Bacchanal?

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +2

      Generally it’s a bit smaller in size than Bacchanal, they have more or less the “greatest hits” for a premium Vegas buffet so all the expected items. And they do use premium ingredients and have decent quality.
      Where I think Bacchanal shines though is in the sheer size of the stations. The selection of items. The fact that on either the dinner or brunch at Bacchanal we have seen some more exotic items like Frog Legs, Sea Snails, Bone Marrow, and I feel like the Asian station at Bacchanal is a bit larger than Wynn.
      Both are great options, but I feel like Wynn does great at offering a premium product but plays it safe on flavors where Bacchanal takes a few more risks on that end.
      Wynn does really well on the desserts though. That’s an area where they shine.
      We enjoyed Wynn on this visit, but we still prefer Bacchanal.

    This was another great video.
    1 How would you compare the ambiance for the Wynn Buffet and the CP Buffet? I think that the Wynn seemed like an elegant restaurant... with a buffet. CP just seemed like a Food Orgy- in a good way 😊 But, looks can be deceiving. So, that's why I am asking.
    2 You guys are in Hospitality. What is your opinion on tipping at buffets? Also, could you please distinguish between a place where you picked up your own food and coffee and OJ, versus a place where you picked up your own food and the staff continuously refilled your mimosas.
    3 I'll keep this video in mind if I am ever on the northern end of the Strip. Thanks!

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +2

      Ambience at both can be a bit busy, and a bit loud. I feel like Wynn does try to keep a bit more of an upscale ambience or aesthetic, whereas Caesars is more of a feeling like you’re at a buffet where their food and stations are the star of the show.
      Both buffets are very high traffic (and some have huge lines of people waiting), so it’s only natural for there to be a time limit and have a lot of background noise.
      As far as tipping at buffets, we always add a tip at the payment station if it’s a place that has you pay at the front, additionally if you order drinks your server will often bring out a receipt for your cocktails so there’s also a line for a tip, and when there isn’t either option to manually add a tip, cash on the table is always good for places where they pick up your plates and serve you drinks. We always suggest tipping if any type of service is being provided.
      Hope this clarifies and thanks for watching ❤️

      But also for that same price you can dine at so many different places.

    No omelette station😢 WOW we WOW 😋 Surprised there wasn't Prime Rib🤨

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +1

      If we were not making a video I totally would.
      The issue is that omelettes take up a bit more stomach space compared to other items and then we run the risk of not being able to have room for the other stations. And the goal with these videos is showing as many stations as we can with samples of as many items as we can show.
      We usually try not to leave a bunch of food left on the plate when making these videos and TBH I would feel a bit bad if we got an omelette and only took a few bites for the camera and not finished it.
      And I’m also a bit surprised there wasn’t prime rib but with brunch at a lower price point compared to the dinner buffet, I can also see why there wasn’t. The brunch is about $20 less than dinner so I noticed with this experience that the seafood options and carving meats were a bit more limited in scope compared to our first visit for dinner.

    its really interesting because i always see people recommending Wynn Buffet over Bacchanal and yet after watching this video it really looks super underwhelming compared to Bacchanal

    • @JamesandPaulTryitAll
      @JamesandPaulTryitAll  Місяць тому +3

      I mean… our first experience at Wynn Buffet wasn’t good. And we planned it on our wedding trip because like every other Vegas channel said how great it was and how much it was better than Caesars. And as a new channel we looked at our critique and were like, “this is too negative for a brand new channel and we should give them a second chance on a future trip before we ever do a video on Wynn”
      I think what didn’t live up to our expectations on that first visit was that the food looked so visually stunning and appealing. The items were generally premium ingredients. Everything looked like it would be a slam dunk. But when it came to taste, a lot of the items we had on that first visit lacked seasoning or flavor. I felt like they underseasoned and made every dish as mild as possible and essentially played it a bit too safe unless the word “Thai” was in the dish name.
      But I can safely say on this second visit, whole there were a few misses, we definitely enjoyed it a lot more than that first visit.
      But if you were to ask us which of the two we prefer, for us, it’s Bacchanal due to the amount of selection, and the fact that they are willing to take a few more risks on their dishes and selections.
      Will we recommend Wynn… Totally. Did they sway our opinion with the second chance. They did. But… there’s something about Bacchanal that not only holds memories for us. Whether it’s the fact we had our wedding dinner there, or the fact that both the dinner and the brunch WOW’ed us. It hasn’t disappointed.
      But… Wynn is still a great option, just more of a number two in our opinion.

    We went while we stayed at the Wynn and it was no where near worth it. $180 for the 2 of us could have been spent on SO many better places. The Wynn Resort was AMAZING but The Buffet is a skip. Caffè Al Teatro was a must try spot for breakfast if you stay at Wynn or Encore. The Birria Breakfast Burrito was our favorite go to each morning.

      There were definitely some hits and misses to this one.
      As mentioned in the video, our first experience for the Seafood Dinner Buffet was just not good. And so we went again to try Brunch and give them a second chance, but while brunch was much better than that first experience, there were still some misses on some of the items.
      Overall it did redeem itself in our opinion, but I am still more of a fan of Bacchanal at Caesars Palace.
      I know this buffet is one that so many people love and say is the best, but I am inclined to agree with you that this is also probably not the buffet for me either. However I will do it again if I am staying at Wynn but it’s also not one that I would go out of my way for.

      Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. And thank you so much for the feedback. This is very important as this helps us improve future videos and we love it when viewers let us know these things.
      As the person who edits our videos, that is likely my fault as I have been trying to speed up the pace of our videos by manually cutting out pauses in speech to try and keep the overall video faster paced due to general attention spans becoming much shorter (I often feel like TikTok, reels, and other short form content have really pushed a standard for content creation that tries to constantly keep videos in a trend of being more faster paced where there’s no breathing room).
      One thing we can be more cognizant of is slowing down the rate of pace when we are speaking and filming this next batch of videos and I will look for some ways to make future videos breathe (minus this next week’s because it’s already half edited and I am pushing hard to get it completed so it can release while we are out in Vegas filming this next batch).
      But the feedback has been heard and I will look for ways to try and give a bit more breathing room 👍
      Thank you so much for the feedback ❤️
