I have 5D2, I have a 6D, the first EOS-M and a 70D. I LOVE the 5D! I have this thing about....the cameraes, the first ones that have a really NEW thing. Buy them, I feel that the producers put a lot of effort into these. I still regret selling my 7D. That shutter sound... :)
Thank you for the video. I bought it in 2018 used but almost in new condition with a shutter count of only 5k. I use it frequently and just love it. You can use all the EF lenses. Only suggestion is; shoot in RAW and do post-processing as per your taste. You won’t regret buying this wonderful legendary camera. I’ll never sell it. Enjoy shooting with it.
@@MTOPro This is an everlasting camera. Photography is an art which doesn't change. This camera is the best tool for producing art and thus, its demand won't change either.
Good feature is the ability to shoot raw files at three resolution options.. same as the ability to select your jpegs to save in scaled resolutions.. Handy to save space on the CF card you use or speed up image processing if your computer is low spec. This is not possible on my Nikon DSLRs. To find the shutter count, you need to connect the camera to a PC via USB (or Mac I guess) and use the dedicated Canon tool software to access the info. It is not embeded information in the files that this model delivers. 😊
I’ve been using my dad’s mark ii that he used for weddings for quite a while, it’s got a whopping 192k shutter count and it’s still tack sharp with my 50mm 1.8 😅
Thinking of doing the same. My only full fram camera is a a Sony, but I cant afford Sony glass. I have good canon lenses, and second hand EF glass is pretty cheap!
I 100% agree with you. I am still cranking out some amazing pics with this camera. With cost and today’s market conditions don’t see it changing anytime soon.
@@MTOPro I do worry a bity about dynamic range....butI'll just keep that SOny body for those situations. The 7 Artisans adapter let me use canon glass with full autofocus and IS. AT leasst on my 70-200mm f4 L
Had to postpone as I got a very favourable deal on a second hand Canon EF 24-105mm F4 IS USM lens. I'll smack that on the Sony with the adapter, until I get on top of my bills again, lol But I will get that EOS 5D II I miss shooting Canons.

I just picked up a 70D and I love this beast, The 5D still keeps impressing me.
7d that good? I have 5d2 and 7d.
Most cameras from the last 15 years are more then enough for users. Anything newer is just a nice to have.
The 5D ii is an amazing camera in 2024
Oh I agree, every time I take it out it blows me away. Thanks for watching

I shoot RAW in all of my cameras, this 5D is a beast and it runs like a tank. I would recommend one to anyone even going into 24.

Still use it …..Beautiful Combo with my 50 mm F1.2
That's a pretty cool camera. Hope you have a Merry Christmas. Cheers, Patrick! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Hey thank you so much. Hope you have very Merry Christmas yourself.

Your video really helped me. I was hesitant to buy this camera in 2024 but I am going to buy it this week!

They are incredibly cameras and it is hard to believe how they are still holding up and strong.
The max shutter on it is 1million 😂
