What if we took the joke "How many people does it take to screw in a lightbulb" and made it into a game?
That's the perfect description
And the answer changes on the collective IQ of the team. Fun fact, the collective IQ never goes above single digits.
@@gryphon4150 facts. Even with a bigger lobbies mod there’s always that one guy who drags it back below 10.
Battle Royale but your all trying to screw in a lightbulb.
The "screw in the bulb" hotkey is randomized per lightbulb, as is the lightbulb and its relevant outlet. It would be a phenomenal gamemode imo if they just added more monsters lmaooo
It's still crazy that this was developed by a single 21 year old. That dude has some SERIOUS game design talent.
A 21 year old furry who has an affinity for horror and comedy-horror games.
Can't get much better than that!
Dude's been making horror games since they were _9._ That's not talent, that's purely-earned skill.
@@The_True_Mx_Pink So being able to make games at the age of 9 is not talent?
@@FlameJackstar ... yeah. It's ableist rhetoric to believe you have to be born a certain way to make things "good." In reality, perceived "talent" is the result of interest from someone at younger days, where in reality, they were performing pseudo-practice or pseudo-studying before they properly started. Also, their first games were exactly what you would expect a 9 year old to make on Roblox.
Don't idolize skill and passion into an unattainable goal that you think you've missed.
@@The_True_Mx_Pink Well, I still kindly disagree, since I've seen plenty of time in my life that people can have certain knacks for skills. Not in the way, as in "This person has never picked up a pencil before and is basically Picasso" but that they're able to learn much faster and more effective than others in the field. Even if his first projects were obviously just fooling around in game-maker engines or something like that, he was able to pick up over time what really matters in a game and refine the potential he had, be it raw game-design or production. For example, he literally coded the best proximity-voice-chat in a game to date. With 21 years. I'm pretty sure he didn't train that for the past 12 years. And I'm pretty sure there are game-devs out there, who worked longer in the business than that, that were not able to do so.
Denying that something like talent exists at all, feels like being uncomfortable of the fact that some people can be better at things than others. Which is not a bad thing.
LIMBUS COMPANY MENTIONED
I am going to comment on ALL limbus company comments
I think Lethal Company is gonna stick around for a bit. This sort of co-op experience is partially what kept Among Us around for so long, and the fact that it's still in early access means that there's probably gonna be lots of stuff added in the future.
LIMBUS COMPANY MENTIONED, VIDEO LIKED
real
Seeing the Limbus Company logo in a Scott video is surreal O_o
I never thought I’d see the day
0:26 MANAGER ESQUIRE

0:25 omg he knows the game limbus
real
Its funny that a lot of LC people come because of that moment
A very casual and likely accidental projectmoon reference
I've actually had a lot of good luck playing with randoms in this game! I've done like 20ish games and only ran into one person spouting gamer words
It really does give the meet a random person on the job and starting to become work friends until you get distracted enough from the task at hand and you all get fired!
God magically summoning 110,920 unnamed project moon fans to say "PROJECT MOON MENTIONED" on every random video a big youtuber slighty references it
Working a job where you're forced to do terrible things for terrible pay with a boss that is an inhuman monster?
Glad to see that life sims are becoming more popular.
How does the game force you to do "terrible things"?
@@addison_v_ertisement1678bro you serious?
@@penguindude1235 Bro, can you shut up?
@@addison_v_ertisement1678Potentially leaving friends behind in a hostile environment in order to meet an ever growing quota created by a company that continually only asks for more seems pretty bad to me. More so considering the horrific danger you put yourself through just to get enough to scrape by until it's so much that you get executed for not meeting said quota.
@@levihollar2924 "potentially"
Also, you are actively discouraged from doing so because you get fined for it.
Watching you play this was so much fun. So much of the fun does seem to come from playing with your friends but honestly? What are friends if not people who will laugh at you for getting soft locked in a one-door room with 3 mannequins trying to all come in?
LIMBUS COMPANY
LIMBUS COMPANY REFERENCE!!!! PROJECT MOON FANS RISE UP
LIMBUS COMPANEEEEE
YEAAAAA
limbusu compani
Holy shit Falco knows about limbus company?
Real?
He knows the purpose of the Odyssey
The hit gatcha from steam
Sequel of trauma boss and blue haired trauma in a library
Even if Scott doesn't, the editor definitely does
I created a monster in this comment section, and I wouldnt have it any other way
Limbus Company mention!
LIMBUS COMPANY DETECTED, PROJECT MOON FANS INBOUND
AYO DID I SEE LIMBUS COMPANY? 0:25
Dante
I just realized that Scott's persona's goggles emote with him, that's such a cute touch! I love that!

! YOU HAVE ALERTED THE DWARVES !
We're rich.
PROJECT MOON REFERENCE 0:26 YEEEEEEEEEAH LETZ GOOOOOOOO
Did anyone else notice the lack of salt in this video??
because it makes me want to play it even more XD
Limbus companehhhh!!!!!
Dante real
@@eggontoast4447Dantehhh….
This seems like the place that I work at except if everyone else was smarter
oh no us pmoon fans are literally everywhere
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that Lethal Company have the same premise of Pikmin 2
That's an accurate description.
Pikmin 2, but less allies and scarier monsters.
0:10 To me, when i first discovered it, i just realized it was similar to pikmin 2 !
Like, the fact that you go on a random planet, survive and collect treasure to pay you're company's debt.
Mention Limbus Company enough and maybe we can get Scott to play... Spend the 30+ hour time investment since we just started a new season!
"At peak" I don't think it's left it's peak yet
I can say meeting with randoms is actually pretty fun. Most people are just enjoying the game and the antics still happen.
0:30 I wonder how much longer this will go unnoticed by the horde
LIMBUS MENTIONED!!
Lethal company is so fun especially with a bunch of people lol, the fact it was made by one person is insane
Limbus Company mentioned!!!
Me when my Project Moon sleeper agent is activated 🕑🔥
Didn't the developer already get like hacked from heck and back from people trying to snag his swag?
LIMBUS COMPANEEE
The clipping potential in this game is insane
Wait this isn't limbus company.
1:43 you weren't kidding about the Salmon Run
Wait, Scott played with Vernias and Sophist?
Lethal Company is actually a pretty legit horror game. All the clips run between hilarious shenanigans of someone charging down a corridor with the body of someone who died only to die themselves, to the pants-wetting terror of hearing a crack from behind you and turning around to see your buddy's feet vanish around a corner as they're dragged away.
Freaking mention Limbus Company
I. am. salivating.
It's simultaneously salmon run for mentally stable people and deep rock galactic on a very strict budget
Here’s to hoping that the health of the company stays strong for gamers to come.
0:09 glad I’m not the only one who thought of salmon run when I first heard of lethal company
0:25 LIMBUSSY MENTIONED?
"I don't cover flavor of the month games" - A whole channel of Flavor the Month Games with a slightly more work Vtuber avatar.
I definitely think the improvement I want most from the game isn't in the gameplay itself. I mean sure, ol' "Big Forest Giant" out your ship still needs to cool down, and now that rail cheese is destroyed the Thumpers are even more of a run-killer, but the dev likely realizes the issues and will likely be implementing some changes to help with it all.
What I want is lobby titles. Ultimate Chicken Horse has these: it's been a hot second since I played the game, but essentially you can choose to label your lobby for stuff like competitive play, casual play, or "Hey we're only playing custom maps only choose custom maps no STOP DONT SIT ON THE BUTTON FOR ROOFTOPS".
I think Lethal Company could benefit from something like this; maybe "Casual" for people just wanting to goof around, "Competitive" for people who are wanting to perfect their scores as much as possible, and maybe a "Modded" checkmark that can apply to either option to state whether or not the lobby is, well, modded.
Also, it'd be cool if you could do something like, start a lobby in "Friends Only" to get one or two friends in, then switch it to "Public Lobby" to allow the last player to be a rando for the fun of it. It's a weird change, but I've seen tons of people who want to just do parties of 2 or 3, but also have a rando join to reach the 4 player maximum to make reaching quota easier, and to ensure their friend gets in they usually have to keep closing public lobbies unril that friend shows up.
0:53 DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE?
0:53 Live Vernias Cameo
the only experience i have with playing in a public lobby is one dude speaking exclusively via a soundboard that only had Scout TF2 voicelines.
Yipee mod is the best thing to be added to this game and if anything it heightens the horror aspect. Like a fan of Mothman with all the cuddly merch of it meeting the accurate Mothman
>Hi-Fi Rush
>"Flavor of the month game"
Lol. Lmao.
This game is literally Pikmin 2 without Pikmin, the more you think about it the more that description fits
Personally, I really enjoy playing with randoms which is not my usual position with games like these. I've found it super fun to meet new people, exchange tips and tricks and stories from previous runs, teaching new players the ropes, and encountering new dynamics and ideas for how to do a run. Its kinda bizarre how much of this game is spread through word of mouth. There's no advertising, barely a wiki, no offical walkthroughs, ect. Everything I've learned about this game has been through first hand experience or people on the internet or people I've played with. I really enjoy it and if the latest update is anything to go off of, I think this game has the staying power.
Happy 100th salts Scott!
1:27 THE VERNATION
Why is it like *all* the youtubers play the same multiplayer stuff at the same time? Glad to see Scott doing something more than just an LP on it.
Probably cause it’s fun
Cause that's literally how flavor of the month games work.
The people in the facility are playing SCP and the person in the ship is playing FNAF
The suits check out. This is splatoon 3 salmon run nut with scrap
HOLY SHIT LIMBUS COMPANNY!!! I LOVE PROJECT MOON!!!!! good video
I keep getting slapped by 1-4 not being hotkeys. But at least we have dancing!
the dev for this game said that he wants to add so many monsters and loot items and moons that it would be “infinitely replayble” which gives some hope it will stick around a while
Honestly on the topic of Pizza Tower being "flavor of the month".
It was pretty dope they finally put the Noise in as playable and it gave it another boost.
I hope more and more characters from the previous demos get added too.
*"lethal company is a game"*
me: wow *starts clapping*
Me and my friends recently got into modding the game for new content , and the two mods that I really love are one to make value of items go up on planets with bad weather, and mimics. I love that second one much more than I should. After dying to a mimic one of my friends asked a different friend if I was still alive, in which they responded. “Nico said he was gonna go test the (REDACTED), and he never came back.” I had no need to test it, there was no reason to test it, but I wanted to. I might have a problem.
One of the biggests tricks horror has is to make you feel alone and Isolated, leaving you to face the threats alone... or envision ones that aren't even there. So having this game be multiplayer, one of the biggests aspects of horror is ripped away. I'm really glad the devs realized this and let the game be silly at times. On top of the game being so simple, it adds this good fusion of silly and scary that not many games can match. It has the same energy of screwing around with your coworkers, only to get jumpscared by your boss
i hope they update this game with some very small graphics/physics stuff, but then a lot more locations and monsters for more replayability
0:08 oh shit, you're right
My biggest gripe with the game is that if someone leaves the lobby the only way to refill that spot is by closing and reopening the host server. A real pain.
Dont forget this game was made by a roblox game creator thats impressive knowing that roblox uses a whole diffrent coding thing
I heard MUSHROOM during the pointing. DRG mentioned ROCK AND STONE
I actually fucking CACKLED like an old Disney villain because I had that EXACT idea LMFAO
why do the costs of items pop up like this is some partnership deal where you show how much it would cost you to buy these things in real life
I have good news for you, Scoot Flippo; game is still fun and popular
First time ever i am freaked out by the robo girl.
I was soft locked last night between a locked door and a door only opened by the ship but there was a thumper guarding it and a head latcher right above
This isnt just Salmon Run.
Its Pikmin 2 and 3.
1:47 I know its probably the Switch click noise, but i cant help but think that scott falco knows about LoR Cause it sounds like the LoR Dice Click noise too.. ; _;
It most definitely is, the limbus company logo is shown in the video
So it's amazon warehouse simulator, just with better working conditions?
Idk what you mean by leaving the coward at the ship. Staying with the ship is way spookier than going inside haha.
Hey they don’t know that
The fact it outsold the new call of duty game on steam is so funny to me
Project moon fans when they see any representation even if it’s just for a second 🤯 0:25
and the game updated already, lets go
Lethal Chumpany.
man i love the mention of the slopsuit, too bad everyones talking about something im not on the internet enough to know about, maybe, what the fuck is a "limbus company"
Multiplayer Space Slenderman
I feel like you would enjoy Viscera Cleanup Detail! (It's exactly the game it sounds like.) It's from 2013!
Honestly when i first heard the title i thought it was a call of duty spinoff
I think this marks as your 100th Side of salt video!
I wish we got more games like this.... to clarify not coop horror games nope more games with the van coward stuff perhaps in a heist setting that would be cool just effectively being bain from payday overlooking the whole op and helping out behind the scenes or screen in this case oh well
the 8 project moon fans when they see anything slightly related to one of the games
So are we getting a Vegas with a Side of Salt?
As of yesterday a big update with two new monsters new tools were just released so I think we’re safe.
I believe that the game is in a “finished” state, according the early access description. Although the dev did say they want to add more content (creatures, enemies, maps etc), so I, for one, am very excited for this games future.
Honest to god there's gotta be some sort of Left 4 Dead style AI that watches the players, because the sheer comedic timing this game has cannot be done through simple random chance
It must be nice to have three friends
editor i saw that limbus reference we know what you are
Argalia is currently taking my hallways hostage.
As someone who plays with random a lot in this game, its a hit or miss. Sometimes you meet the quietest person in the world, but sometimes you get someone that you will play with for the next 3 hours or so. Still recommend tho, super fun.
