You're the only reviewer that actually has balls to show example cuts from tracks on video, which I appreciate a lot. Great video

@MobilGameTutorials allot of people or most i've seen and i'm assuming this person has seen don't play actual clips of the songs in their videos, they just talk about it.

@MobilGameTutorials i guess he's saying he's brave enough to do that. Ussually when someone says you have "the balls" to do something that means that the person is brave enough or courageous enough to do that thing.

@MobilGameTutorials because most of the time you'll get copyright striked, demonetized and your video will get taken down.

Confidante is about Paul’s guitar that he used to keep around and write songs on. He worked through a lot of issues writing songs on that guitar. Apparently he stopped using it. Hence, “You used to be my confidante”

Nathaniël Pranger yes, it’s a song about a guitar he used to play a lot early on but kinda left behind. Apparently he saw it one day underneath the stairs and that inspired him to write this.

Got to see Paul live for my 17th birthday back in September in Montreal. He may be 76 but for an almost 4 hour show and sounding even better at the end than he was back at the begging. this is the #1 Album in Canada right now and well deserves it. My favourite track is Happy with you

Thank you for your review. Well balanced and discussed. When you hear these sections it really emphasizes his incredible musical mastery. its like listening to mini symphonies....the compositions are amazing.... to produce this after how many decades....the well certainly hasn't gone dry.....McCartney keeps on keeping on....of course it certainly helps if you are a bonafide musical genius... i loved your review..thank you really enjoyed listening to this.

The more I listen, I really like "Fuh You." It's not the bad hype people brought it out as. It's a damn fine song. Forget the silly modern innuendos and let the lyrics tell a tale. From song to song, this is the most consistent album Paul has released in many years. That to say: it flows beautifully.

Opens really strong. A couple of songs I’m not that keen on but overall I like it.
You’re right about the opening to I Don’t Know, lovely piano piece. Would love to listen to a full length instrumental song going more in depth with that piece of music.

Thank you, Vinyl Geek, for your work, great review. I think this album is amazing, the more times you listen to it, you appreciate it more. But for me, the beginning is the best, I don’t know, Come on to me, Happy with you and Fuh you. Then, in the end, Station II and Medley - perfection. Hope this isn’t Paul’s last album, but who knows...

As Always , Dude You Rock! Great review, I FELT THE SAME WAY! SOME OF THE SONGS SOUNDED AS IF Linda and Wings were on the track, specailly the song "I Don't Know" Who's the Female Voice? What's the Matter With Me.
This Album grows on you! or at least me. I love the grouping of the last songs , plus i love and I got the Target Version, with the Bonus Tracks........Plus I got the Green Rubber Band! The Back in Brazil My least favorite.......Listening to this the Second time around I wrote in my notes for review...... When BIB was playin "I know why now I was always a Lennon-Harrison-Star -McCartney Fan in
that order! But I am a fan Paulie, and I will buy your music/art as I always have............ I miss George and John Deeply.
All said THe Album is great! I love the Art!

And then that links on to another thing we called C-Link in the end, which it just me totally indulging myself in wanting to play guitar. And the original take on it is about 11 minutes, I think. But it’s just me really enjoying playing electric guitar. ‘Cause I always say to people, people often say, ‘Why do you still do it?’ I say: “‘Cause I love it. I love this thing.”
And I’m still thrilled with having the privilege of being able to go up to an amp, turn it on, get my guitar, plug it in and play it very loud. It’s a thrill, and it’s never stopped being a thrill, that.
And then there were certain little phrases that were kind of more melodic than others. A lot of it’s just bluesy phrases, there were one or two in there that suggested something else. So we orchestrated a few of the phrases, and made it a little more of a composition.
It was an idea that I fancied doing. I fancied doing it for a long time, of just getting someone - it turned out to be me - I was just going to get someone to play blues guitar against an orchestra holding a chord. In this case it was C, and then C minor, just the orchestra hold this chord for ever and ever and ever, and then this guitar playing over the top of it. And that finishes the album. Right at the end of that session… you just hear a little ‘Whoo!’ and that’s it.
    - Paul McCartney

I must confess difficulty related to almost any of Pauls output past age 35, aside from 'The Firemen'. I applaud your open-mindedness. I also struggle to appreciate most rap and hip-hop. I still marvel over what the Beatles accomplished. Maybe I'll get this and play it in my car often enough to get seduced.

I am happy that this album is featured. Eventhough it is not the best he has done.... it keeps growing on me more and more. Love I Don't Know.... love Dominoes, Despite Repeated Warnings and the the last medley on the album. Just an incredible time to be a Beatle fan. I mean this release, the John Lennon Imagine reissue on Oct. 5th, the White Album reissue in November and more Wings
reissues in December. Will need a new financial advisor by year's end however

Best review I've seen and heard. Thanks for your tireless campaigning for the Mac. What about the 50 bucks to own it though? This I don't get, and I don't like. Records should be affordable... I hate the idea of the youth market being excluded from access. Remember when the Beatles would not put their hit singles on their LP's? If McCartney had left 'Come on to Me' and 'Fuh You' off of this, it could have been a single disc -- better continuity and affordable.... just going to 'fehgit about it' and wish. Keep doing the good work!
