This is far better than what I've been doing, peel and eat, which waste most of the fruit because I get tired of the process. Will definitely try this way next Fall.
I hate to buy Pomegranate as I had a hard time to open it up and the seeds would be quite in a mess and broken. Thanks for sharing. I saw one video to put it into a bowl of water that I don't like that way,( afraid all the Vit C will go into the water and not in our body !) now I found your way. Thanks again and Marry Christmas and Happy New Year !!
Actually a pomegranate can be opened and cleared in 30 sec or so. That's the matter. It's right, that guy does it nicely. On a lazy sunday morning I could try to do it that way for the beauty of it. If our lives were what they were supposed to be (having time for ourselves as a priority) each one of us could use his brain and find beautiful ways of doing things, no matter how long time it takes. But for a large majority of people who does it actually in 30 sec because they don't have time, this, I guess, could look like a waste of time. Well, only my opinon. Peace
wow, this is the first time i ever saw the pomegranate skin so dry and clean after getting the seeds out. I usually just take the seeds out underwater and still some seeds manages to break. Gonna try this!
this works pretty good...after i get done seeding them, i put them in an empty pasta jar that has a lid...cover the seeds with apple juice or orange juice..let them sit in the fridge a couple of days and them eat them...you get a bit of that sweet and sour flavor ..
This is the superior because you don't slice any seeds open [as in all other methods], thus maximizing your seeds per fruit! Also very ninja blade skillz.
Nice video. Will this grow in Asia say in the Philippines or only ion cold weather places? I've eaten this fruit somewhere in Turkey and I just love it.
Timothy Martini It doesn't care if it's too hot but it likes dry weather. If there is a lot of raining in Philippines, then no. Otherwise, should be okay.
it looks very easy, nicely done but I won't take a chance holding that pomegranate in my hand while cutting the shell but more or less resting it on a cutting board. he had a very sharp knife.👍
I don't know what you people are complaining about. This is quick and most of all, it is NEAT! These little beggers are a pain in the butt and always stain something! I have been using the technique in this video for years now and it always comes out perfect, never messy, 100% yield and I never have to pull out a Shout Wipe or the Clorox Cleanup. I'm sure Nigella works it well, but girlfriend is FAR from neat.
My attempt was way messier seeds are currently all over my kitchen, but maybe it takes practice to open a pomegranate without it looking like a blood bath.
I wished this could work on bigger pomegranates but they have too many chambers where the seeds are held. Sometimes using your hands can be easier than what he shows.

This was the technology’s 10 years ago, and us in 2021 still don’t know how to do it 😂
I don’t think a knife changed 😅😂
Wow! That's amazing & simple too, definitely the best way I've seen on how to get all the seeds out with the least amount of mess. Thanks
There are other ways demonstrated here on youtube, but this is the best I have seen.
I don't get the youtube community sometimes. it's a simple, useful informational video. Do 176 people just know how to do it better?
