The guitar solo was done by Mitch, the guy taking the lead from the beginning of the song. The beatboxer Kevin is doing all the drums.
The guitar solo is actually Mitch, not Kevin. Good to see you with PTX again!
That wasn't Kevin beat boxing that was Mitch's guitar solo with his magnificent voice.

As you can see, PTX can really put on a show. This came from their 2022 Hollywood Bowl concert. Recommend their version of Amazing Grace.
One of the hardest songs to do live. Queen had to use pre-recorded sections to get it right. PTX didn't.

I was around for the original release of Bohemian Rhapsody when it was new and novel and exciting and I really liked it. But I heard it way too much after a while and just got real tired of it. Yes, this particular video made it almost impossible to really tell that it was Mitch doing the guitar solo. It really makes the official video with the megaphone make a lot more sense, since that was strictly a visual cue just so the audience could tell who was doing it.
17,000 seat venue and I was blessed beyond belief to have a seat for that night. If I see any reactions of the Hollywood bowl show I am instantly clicking. It takes me back to that night and the feelings and the electricity just surges through my body all over again. To say this concert was Epic is a massive understatement.

I’ve always thought that this PTX song came closest to being a “cover” vs “upgrade”. And I don’t mean this as a diss. It’s just an iconic song and damn near perfect in the original, so I think PTX covered it very respectfully and, as always, perfectly. Of course the difficulty of doing that without instruments cannot be overlooked! ❤

Kevin was beatboxing while Mitch did the guitar solo, so wouldn't really have worked for Kevin to do both verbally. Did you hear Scott introducing the choir they had join them during the big choral part?
Kevin also has a beautiful tenor voice and plays cello
They akways sound better on stage. However this is one of the few songs where the video is much more interesting . you have to watch it! This is because of the ingenious way they presented the elements of the song visually
