Beautiful dimensions, im just looking at a 4 x 4 custom build with a central overflow so that it can be observed 360 but this has challenged my plans, perhaps i should reconsider.
One of the best tours I've seen . 😊. Do you know the name of those yellow & purple zoas with the green centers . If you could name any others zoas in the tank I'd appreciate it . I'm a rookie & perfer to start with something easier. . Like the bigger heads . I didn't see any gonnopora . Is there a reason or just a personnel choice ? Thanks again . Really enjoyed it ❤ Also do you what sand he's using ? Looks good & doesn't seem to blow around much even with all that flow . Carl's & your excitement is contagious
But still… also respectfully… it is outrageous that someone buys an expensive pump and wipes out a tens of thousands acro tank just because of the cheap tubing in the pump.
I think we all underestimate the stress that saltwater applies to equipment. I’ve been on a quest to get “industrial” grade equipment for my fish room and the price of the equipment quickly goes up when you want the extra durability. For example, I’m going with a Stenner dual head peristaltic pump on my next tank to automate my water changes. But the tubing refills for it are around $45-$50 each and you need two of them. Saltwater simply destroys almost everything. It’s a very challenging environment we are trying to replicate inside our homes. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love if aquarium companies would build equipment to even better quality standards, but the average hobbyist isn’t going to want to spend $1000 on a single head peristaltic dosing pump - so there unfortunately has to be a balance. They could definitely make their products even more durable, but I generally think they are one of the more reliable equipment manufacturers.
@@TrevorHiller Thank you for your reply and yes, you have a very good point. We just need to learn to not trust so much our equipment. For avoiding tragedies it would help if manufacturers would say “replace this every month so you’ll be safe”.
Glad to see some OG's still reppin the GTA. Great looking tank Carl!
I love this tank! Sand bed also looks great being so open.
Very very unique.
Wow loving the depth in that tanK!
Indeed, one of the best out there for sure.

I do believe this is my favorite tank, coral selection, aquascape, it’s absolutely beautiful.
I think I agree with you, I was stunned when I just saw it.. but now it keeps growing and growing on me. That aquascape is chef's kiss.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thank you.
You are most welcome!
Great video! Beautiful tank and Carl is very entertaining as well 😅
What an incredibly beautiful reef tank. Love it. Thanks for sharing! 🙏💯🔥👏
Another awesome reefer!
Hope one day i can see such a beautiful tank in person. Next time back in TO.
Love seeing this guys tank again, he has the right amount of fish load for his system...
Really? I'd go for way more fish personally :)
gorgeous
So true
Great work! 👏🏽
See, that’s what I was talking about. I am looking forward to your next build.
Awesome . Great pro tips 😊
Front view of rock looks like Steve Weast's old tank.
That’s exactly what I said! The best.
Yes. Definitely looks like it.
Beautiful scape!
One of my absolute favourites (if not the best I"ve ever seen in person)
Those fish are really sick
Melafix is awesome for getting bristle worms out of your rock work..

This guy has the right idea in terms of the dimensions of the tank and the aquascape. I don’t like the narrow rectangle shape of most aquariums.
what are carl’s hours of operation? so we can come and see this gorgeous exibit? entrance fees?
You got to go through the City of Toronto :)
What DIP are you using?
Certainly a wonderful aqua scape! This is really a beautiful tank that needs to be followed. Will you return in a half year and a year time? Please?
😇
I will. I already have 10 more questions for Carl :)
impressive
Extremely
What was the dip that he used? Listed to the audio and now I forgot 😂
what is the method of the water distribution from the center of the tank, the overhead return
i wondering how long he had the achilles for. hope UV will do the trick and it doesnt get worse
I think he must have had him for a while - it is a large one. But yeah, looks a bit disheartening.
My boy is Trinidadian 🇹🇹
I can hear it in his voice
Carl is a true reefing master and reef whisperer!
I need more info on this sand and how he keeps it so clean? PLEASE.. Cyanobacteria will be the death of me
He has a single diamond goby that is doing most of the work for him to keep it clean. I want to try that myself.
@@TreasureCorals yeah I would also like to do the same. That sand is spotless.
Carl is an ancient.
Very nice
Whats his po4 no3?
Nitrate is 30
Phosphate 0.117
@@TreasureCorals Tnx for your reply 👍
The anthias look like ghosts. Yeah the corals look good but I just can't get on with this blue lighting.
you sound a lot like Elon lol
me or Carl?
@@TreasureCorals you lol
@@blumac9801 first time I hear that :)
Everything Ecotech make, other than lights, are complete garbage sold at a premium.
I respectfully disagree. MP40 is a staple in aquarium hobby and is being used everywhere alongside the Radions. Just look at WWC.
But still… also respectfully… it is outrageous that someone buys an expensive pump and wipes out a tens of thousands acro tank just because of the cheap tubing in the pump.
@@traianboala3798 ah, if you are referring to Versa - I fully agree that the tubing could be better. But MP40s rock :)
