There is a brief snippet of Gia in an apartment talking about cinematography and she does sound completely different there from that 20/20 interview. Much more masculine in the candid video. I do hear some Philly in her accent to the contrary. Not in an abrasive way but to West Coast ears it is there.

Stephen's body language & remarks about Linter & her "associates" not talking to him about Gia when he was trying to put book together says volumes....he clearly resents this bisexual who refuses to admit to her sexual relationship with Gia. I don't understand why he is having this discussion with her (after she & her fashion pals dismissed him) unless he is trying to gain information for another book. Afterall, he is an "investigative" journalist.
Maybe Fried should do another book or an updated book because he didn't go into enough detail about certain aspects of Gia's personal life, he mentioned it in his book but it wasn't elaborated on and for him to be an investigative journalist he should have. Sandy was dating men but so was Gia; he said that in his book. So I don't know why Gia got mad at her girlfriends when they deciding to only see men eventually or to see men as well. Gia's reasons for seeing men may have been different but regardless she was still seeing men. Its in the biography and her sexuality everyone has a perspective on that. When Gia lived on this world, and I hadn't seen her in over one year, I always thought I would see her on the beach of St. Barth's. I thought shed have gotten her career back together again and I thought I'd be there working with another crew. I was sure I'd see her on the beach.

Hmmm, l don't think this story ended as bad as some think. Yes she died an that is sad, however she stopped using and as far as l know didn't go back after she was told how sick she was. So she died clean, and that's a success. There have been others that use right until the end when they are sick with AIDS. Apparently she stopped, and made the most of her last days. l LOVE that book cover! lt was the reason l bought the book when it came out, and l _do_ remember seeing her covers. The ''Yellow bathing suit'' one in particular. l was 14 and reading ''seventeen'' but Carol Alt, and Gia were STUNNERS! Thanks Sandy.

Please do more videos, I think people need to stop attacking Sandy she is only remembering things and her feelings at the time, her real life relationship with Gia is not going to be like what was depicted in the movie Gia ( which Stephen has said was somewhat fictionalised ).

I guess Gia could be a free soul and I am not sure why but she would have multiple casual relationships with men and women at the same time because she was famous and gorgeous and everyone wanted her. As a woman, we want to be beautiful and get all attention and I guess Sandy would be one too, but at the same time she knew Gia was hard to resist. Yup and that causul experimentation; freedom, is probably what caused poor Gia her life. She was wanted by just about everybody male and female probably more so by males as she was a physically beautiful woman. But people's desire for her was not love but for s3x and this claim that some how love was really what it was all about I can't fully believe that. Its apparent that Gia loved women and Gia said to several different people that she was gay. I have hard time believing Gia loved men in the same way that she loved women even though she dated and more recently its been reported that she had relationships with men too.(Although, when I Google that it doesn't return a lot of information about that part of her life). But......I ALSO don't think she was as comfortable with preferring women as she portrayed herself to be. It's hard for anyone to believe your love with her was not sexual when you were sexually intimate.
