Okay so last year I replied saying that I was on that exact part of the video when I read this. I just found this video again and decided to watch it and it happened again.
Lol its a cool hobby but pretty much a useless skill... We would still have tools and stuff in those situations... its not like every material object would disappear so we would only have rocks to work with lmao... We would still have tools, guns and many other things to help us survive.

I always enjoy watching your knapping videos- they really help me as a beginner knapper. All I have available to work on is glass but I look forward to the day I can work flint or dacite or even obsidian. I've learned a good deal from your videos...biggest lesson yet is drawing longer flakes by manipulating the center line.

I counted 21 "flakes" I assume you are a regular, 6ft 200 pound male. 21 shots of vodka, It's possible that you might fall into a coma. If you are lucky and drink alot of water, try to piss or vomit you might black out and have a liver disease, survive with permanent damage but that is very unlikely. You might (probably) die due to the paralysis of your diaphragm, the collapse of your lungs, or heart attack (any form of respiratory arrest).

For those struggling like I was, beach rocks that have been sanded out smoothly are NOT suitable, you need a rock like flint or obsidian or some kind of easy to shatter rock, if you use a normal rock it won't work
learning more than school will ever teach us I'm trying to go back to my native American Indian heritage by watching and learning I already know how to make a bow from trees now I want to watch then try my hand in Flint knapping

Excellent video I must say. I've been watching a guy on here named the the ditch walker. Now this guy and his friend claim to be finding all kinds of arrowheads in these creek beds in his area. They always seem to be right on top of the creek-bed. Kind of makes me think that perhaps he is making his own arrowheads and just saying he is finding them ! They just seem to be in such pristine shape , kind of makes me wonder. Regardless its all kind of interesting to me. I love history and nature , so its all good ! Oh and could you make a spear out of one and spear a fish for us ? LOL..doesn't hurt to ask !
Kimber if you watch the ditchwalker long enough you will see that he shovels material from the creek bed into a homemade sifter. I don’t think he is making those points. What he is finding is remarkable!!! Great video here!
Where does flint come from? As i understand it was brought from someplace else and the natives here traded for it. Ive never founda big piece on our old village sites. We only found chips and already made arrow heads and one tomahawk head
Won't be as sharp. Knapping this the way he is breaks the flint in such a way it is sharper than razor sharp. There's not much like it save by way of actual steel razors, and like I said, this is probably still sharper
For a hammer stone try to find a granite cobble one of the best stones hands down for flake removel. I could explain why but that would take a while just go find one and i am sure you will be pleasantly surprised at how much better a granite cobble works.

Some of the top shelf bourbons are found in bottles with very thick bottoms. I've found some in recycling bins. Basically it's clear obsidian.

He’s probably not I have hundreds of arrowheads, hammers, axe blades, and about 5 spear heads just from our hunting land
