The lyrics are in latin and basically talk about how the singer is recognized as a hero who saved his world, but he is surprised to be surrounded by so many other legendary warriors who saved so many other worlds, and destroyed so many others, some are inspiring, some are scary, some are friends, and others are sworn enemies, and yet they are all there, some of them fighting by his side, and that it is when they fight that they shine brightest. Perfect for the greatest crossover game series.
The composer for this game actually got the legendary Nobuo Uematsu (OG Final Fantasy composer) to compose this specific theme!! The main theme!! It's both a humble gesture and sign of utter respect, and the theme speaks for itself!!

If you think the piece is impressive on its own, the game's intro cinematic pairs it with scenes from the singleplayer campaign, each perfectly matching the music while the Latin vocals sing the player's praises. Despite some considering it one of the lesser Smash Bros. games, it really does know how to tell a story!
The intro video that plays with this song always got me excited for the game as well. I know it was just clips from the Subspace story mode but I still always liked it
I love this song, it's great! There are so many great songs in this game of course since it is a collection of some of the best game franchises, another one that I absolutely love is the Fire Emblem theme
I'm not a music producer so ill try my best to explain how this makes me feel, but whenever I listen to Melee's or Brawl's or Sm4sh's theme, there are so many moving parts and layers to the composition that by the end you feel like you've gone on a spiritual journey. Every time it could've looped back around, it started another deeper section of the song that just gently caresses your soul. I don't know how they were able to make a song that's able to achieve such an abstract feeling, but they somehow did with those three, which is why I'm okay with saying there's no other songs like them. I really was choking up hearing that song again after 10 or 15 years. So many good memories playing that with my brothers. Such a beautiful magnificent piece that go down as one of if not the best song in video game history. Thank you for reviewing it.

Chills and tears in my eyes on every listen for me, incredible game and soundtrack
I wish I can go back to those days when things were simpler. Staying after school and playing this on the Wii with my friends. Yelling at Player 1 not press any buttons so we can listen to the song.
Mannn this song is THE song of super smash bros and it gives you a chicken skinnn it gives you such a powerful and boosting energy and it is also a song that will never be forgotten. Wow 👏🏻👏🏻
God. This was a huge part of my childhood. Playing brawl with my friends in middleschool was truly a time to remeber.
As soon as the theme started playing in this video i got so many chills i love this song so much
This song does the definition of sparking joy lmao, god i love it so much. The memories it brings back...
This is one of my favorite songs of all time... plus this game is the content I make on my own channel. I would recommend on your own time to actually search for 'Super Smash Bros Brawl - Subspace Emissary Ending Credits' because it has adds on to this song instead of looping. It should be at about 4 mins with the credits of the game.
Amazing analysis! As a musician and smash fan I'd love to see more reactions \m/
The amazing thing about it is that it's the work of Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu.
Brought too much damn nostalgia to a simpler time im crying the whole way to work this morning
i feel out of place too, while i did play smash bros somewhat as a child i never played brawl, and man i love opera and orchestral music, one of my favorite things on youtube is to find orchestral remix of popular songs, like the orchestral remix of oshi no ko and things like that
This theme is SO good, I played this game so much as a kid and I love being able to visualise the intro from the song. Wow, so memorable!
Brawl quickly turned Super Smash Bros. into a celebration of videogames.
I love that this theme is so different than other Smash Bros themes, yet it's the most iconic
Instant sub you know your stuff dude. Very professional and entertaining to watch amazing job 👌
Much appreciated!
Even though I don't understand music like you do, I love listening to your commentary!
