There's a great responsibility in teaching others. Careless teachers hinder the progress of students. If they are not sure about the topic being taught, they need to do thorough research before the presentation. Thank you for doing the right thing! You're the best!
Kevin, you, and Lisa are the best teachers I have ever come across. I have never missed any of your videos. Keep it up.
You are the best.Thank you
Thank you so much for teaching us the Real American English.
As usual, Kevin....GREAT, GREAT JOB!!!! You and Lisa are the VERY BEST English teachers on the Web. Thanks for showing us the big mistakes other careless teachers commit even though Vanessa is a native English speaker.
Great job i love your videos
It's such a great video, Kevin 👏👏 Keep up the good work 👏👏
Bob Canadian is a really good teacher. Others in that list are under question
What about Luke?
Teacher Tiffany is also🎉
@@ganeshchandrabosunia6619Luke is a good teacher too there are also some on Vanessa’s lists that are good but there are lots that on her list that aren’t qualified coz they are making lots of mistakes which is I found that Vanessa is biased & I unsubscribed her. I dont stand a teacher that is biased lol
I'd say that ONLY the non-natives that appear in (on) that list are under question, the rest are native English teachers or speakers.
Not true. Vanessa, Bob, Wes, Greg, also there’s a female teacher with a double name are excellent as well. And they are all native speakers.
Hi Kevin! Thank you for your videos. Teaching isn’t easy. So I salute all the teachers out there who dedicate their time and effort to teaching English everywhere around the world. And I appreciate your work, Kevin. Thanks again and have a lovely day!♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍
Kudos to you for making these videos!
It would be highly beneficial if you could produce a comprehensive video on the practice of correct pronunciation 🤗
I like the work you guys do.
Thank you, Kevin and Liza, for your work. You are such a source of knowledge!
You're the best ❤ thank you
Very good rectifications.
Thanks
Wow three hours. Thanks
thank you🤩🤩
Kelvin and lisa even though they were condemned by a lot of people they tried their best to show us what sounds good, Great job 👍
Thank you very much Kevin and Liza.
First, and thank you
Wonderful class! Thank you! 🥰
Thank you 👍 ❤.
You guys are amazing! Most of popular "teachers" are not native speakers and make silly mistakes that a native speaker will spot easily. The only teacher I've seen in the beginning of the video is Lucy, in my opinion. She is a good teacher and a native speaker, isn't she?
THE BEST OF ALL!!!
That's a great lesson
You're the best teachers ever 😊
Hey, Kevin and Lisa! A big shout-out to you from a partly sunny and muggy São Paulo, Brazil. One of the reasons that I truly enjoy your video lessons is because you help us, non-native English speakers, (to) become aware of what sounds natural and is grammatically correct in American English. Please keep it up, and I hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy the remainder of your week. Best.
In my opinion, you and a j hoge are the best Englishe teachers on the internet .
thanks for correction it's very important
❤❤ thanks teacher 🎉🎉 excellent 👍 video 📸
Thanks Kevin and Lisa
Kevin, you brought to light the Russian mafia teaching English: it’s not about proper grammar; it’s about making up new one:)
Thanks for the lesson.Great job!
English Fluency Journey is from Ukraine
You rock! Blessing!
Kevin and Lisa always go the extra mile to get the corrections across to us easily. They are the best teachers hands down. They do not need to be on the list of "Best Teachers" because we know their teaching capabilities.
GREAT
You are brilliant teachers. You describe such things, with such a deep explanation, most of errors, I've not even thought about, but I do them. Regurlaly. The reason - we try to translate from our native languages, and as a consequence do it in a wrong way. And you are the only chanel that highlihts mistakes, very common mistakes, in such a clear way. (I stopped using 'so' before nouns, huge thanks, now even for me it doesn't sound natural!:)
Ohhhhhh ! Interesting 👏🏻
Kevin, you are the best.
Yes, that's right. I really think that Hadar is a fantastic teacher. Even though she occasionally makes mistakes, just like all non-natives, what a surprise!
❤❤❤❤❤
Bonne leçon
"I feel myself" comes from Russian and Ukrainian. Many of these teachers are just speaking their own languages with English words. They have limited experience with correct English
Thanks for your lessons, could you recommend some good teachers on UA-cam?
I’m hungry….. ( she’s trying to say - “ I’m still hungry so I need more food “
Thank you for this video, I was nearly shocked to see Vanessa make that video.
That was probably one of her first videos. She’s definitely one of the best teachers online these days. So cut her some slack, will you?
Hi, Kevin , Could You review the channel " Cloud English" I want your professional opinion about the way the teacher speaks in the Channel. Thank you so much.
He simply roasted 😅 but thank you. Are truly appreciated and loved . Keep going on and let us updated
7:37 This girl mixed Russian grammar and English words.
2:22 I'm Hungary but I still nead to eat more.
Yeah people from Hungary have to eat too 😊.
"I'm hungry but I still need to eat more" I think she just broke my brain 🤣🤣that's just word salad.
Kevin, Lisa, Vanessa, Bob, Wes, Greg are the best!!!
Indubitable=for sure.
I don’t understand why Venessa wanted to sabotage her reputation.😅😅😅
Correct she even deleted my comment lol
You are exposing everyone 😂😂😂
2:26 I'm still hungry, I need to eat more? I think so. 🤔
I watched halfway through and fell asleep. Now I'm seeing the end screen and the keyboard flooded with my saliva...Anyway, somewhere in the first half of the video, someone said "It spells xxxxx.." and got corrected. But I've heard this expression multiple times from multiple people, and in my understanding, it's the same usage of "read" in this; "Here is the article from the magazine. It _reads_ 'Almost by definition, English learners are linguistically vulnerable UA-cam users, and Mogilko is a con artist that exploits that vulnerability...'"
3❤❤❤
There are some unqualified teachers on the list shown by Vanessa. I know them very well and have not subscribed to their channels. They're teaching utter nonsense. The common mistakes made by those fake teachers are clearly shown by teacher Kevin. It's sad that not even a grade 8 student makes such mistakes. Actually, we all must be thankful to teacher Kevin for showing their mistakes and there's a lot we can learn from those mistakes. As I know, teacher Vanessa is one of the best English teachers on UA-cam, and I have learnt a lot from her teachings. She's a native speaker who speaks with clear accent. However, some of the teachers shown on her list of best teachers are non-native speakers and we have to be careful of what they teach. One of the other English teachers I like most is Bob the Canadian. This Canadian teacher's lessons are excellent. Students should follow those teachers and not the fake ones that we see on teacher Kevin's channel. Thank you, teacher Kevin for the service you do on UA-cam platform. If not for you, the English learners would follow the wrong path..
U nailed it Vanessa is biased too lol
I'm sure Vanessa hasn't seen any of the videos of those fake teachers that she included in that list.
I knew you're gonna do this😅
I am hungry and that's the reason I need to eat more. I think that's what she meant.
Teaching teachers is hard but necessary 😂
"I feel myself..." LOL! Teachers, holy sh*t! This is a mistake of a first year student! :)
Overall online English channels are related to beauty, women, fashion and a little bit of English knowledge. Not to mention likes, ads and selling products.
The thing is that for a non-native English speaker to speak very good English and not to make mistakes is really difficult. Another thing is you don't teach English if you can't speak correctly. 😅
How ?Why most teachers can teach effectively, but they can't speak fluently? Why major native speaker speak fluently, but they can't teach so much ? Sometimes Speaking,& teaching inversely correlated for most us.Think about it.
From my point of view; if someone doesn't have extensive knowledge of a certain area, well, that someone shouldn't even think about teaching that area 'cause they're not gonna teach it correctly and that includes "languages".
I myself can even notice those mistakes as a non native speaker, but again it's always hard to be impeccable even in our first languages. thanks for teaching us Mr kevin tho
I’ve lived in the US for more than 20 years and all the public restrooms I have used say.. ..RESTROOMS 🚽 I don’t know why this person called English teacher says the word restroom is a British word.🤣🙈🙈
2:22 I think she was going to say "I'm not hungry". You can never have too many sweets
I think that Ariannita wanted to say. I'm hungry, so I still need to eat more.
Probably. You are right. She also wanted to say I am not hungry but I still need to eat more.
In the real life that sentence does not make any sense.
I'm not hungry but I need to eat more. Cause I paid for that!
@@himila that's pretty good.
Kevin and Lisa teach by the book. They sound like robots sometimes, with all due respect. they don't make mistakes because they have a decored script.
People in real life don't talk like this.
Kevin and Lisa >>>> English with *Random Name*
2:18 i think i know what she means (even though she said it in the most confusing way possible). What she wanted to say is, "i'm still hungry, but i still have some food left to eat (on my plate)"
THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE EITHER.
# The word "BUT" doesn't fit.
I"m still hungry and there's still food left so I'm gonna eat more.
(This sounds more coherent and congruent).
I think Kevin missed a little mistake she made.
This girl also said;
- "I was pronouncing AS LIKE literally.
# I wonder if you can use "as" and "like" in the same sentence, I mean, together. ?.
The internet says that "wait on..." uses for informal situations
One of them said - my difficulties about a few words in AmE. The prep. "about" doesn't seem to be the correct choice. Difficulty with something rather than about something but I might be wrong.
A buoy 🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼🗼
“This is such a free content platform not a school” makes no sense either. It’s clear that she meant “This is a free-content…” Both letters are close together, so it was clearly a typo - which you’d be able to tell if you weren’t so bent on combing through her videos to point out errors.
You guys have some good content, I don’t see the need of exposing every tiny flaw from other people to get more views for your channel. Though I do agree most people shouldn’t be presenting themselves as teachers, I believe it’s still true that you can help teach proper English without humiliating and exposing people who, as far as I know, haven’t done anything against you.
At the end of the day, you’re supporting the idea that only native speakers are capable of teaching English - which isn’t true, as there are many competent non-native teachers - and cultivating a critical and mocking spirit in your viewers.
Writing “so” instead of “such” is not a typo.
@@mrmememe777She certainly didn’t mean “such” either. It was most likely autocorrect or she pressed the S key before the I/O key, which could’ve happened to any educated native speaker.
As I said, I enjoy your content - especially these specific-feedback videos - and do not appreciate just anyone calling themselves an English teacher. But, as a teacher myself and a non-native speaker of English, I feel very uncomfortable watching this type of video. I find it unnecessarily exposing. We want to teach, not humiliate.
It’s your channel though, you do whatever you want with it.
I was wondering if there isn't someone who can correct what those fake teachers teach.
how do we know what they're teaching is correct ?.
What they teach is incorrect and their subscribers take for granted that it's correct just because they speak the language (wrongly of course) BUT the fact that you speak a language, doesn't mean you can teach it correctly, I mean they're learning incorrect English and they don't even know that.
I don't wanna seem arrogant or a know-it-all but I learned how to speak, understand, write and read the English language, all at the same time, by studying Grammar and a little bit of Phonetics and I lived in the USA for almost 10 years, this last fact helped me a lot.
BUT ALL THOSE FACTS DON'T MAKE ME AN EXCELLENT NON-NATIVE ENGLISH TEACHER.
If you know the language well, you just can't make that kind of mistakes, like;
writing SO instead of SUCH.
If you're a non-native speaker and you wanna teach the language, first you've got to study the language deeply, I mean, Grammar, Phonetics, Vocabulary, Intonation etc... and above all PRONUNCIATION.
@@fredylopez2477 And your point is?
@@harumi95
Well, my point is obviously stated, and I believe you're an intelligent enough person to get it or guess it.
But, one thing I believe is that; Kevin and Liza aren't trying to put anybody down.
For a long time I thought that "to my opinion" was kind of a more advanced expression.
No it ain't pal.
It's "in my opinion".
And another thing if someone who is a native American or English start learning to speak for example my native language Lithuanian I bet after has been studying the Lithuanian language for 20 years he or she still would be making mistakes because The Lithuanian language is really hard and complicated to learn .
Hey Kevin, it seems to me that she wanted to say" I'm full but I still want to have more"
Anyway, it's got no sense either, 'cause if you're full, you don't feel like eating anymore.
I don't know what I must say may be just laugh 🤣🤣🤣
oh 7:30... Someone who knows english better should make a video about this "correct video" by kevin and liza...
"Undercover" is possible in "an undercover cop" ;))
Yeah, you're right but that's something else.
- It's not spelled like it's pronounced.
OR.
- It's not pronounced like it's spelled.
# I think you can say it both ways.
I have known that the video witch makes Vanessa won't be spared by Kevin 😂
24:31 You say that there is a stress after the letter "T". But the stress is before the "T". What's my mistake?
Compare the pronunciations of "politics" (/ˈpäləˌtiks/) and "political" (/pəˈlidək(ə)l/). In "politics," there is both primary and secondary stress, while in "political," there is only primary stress.
Thanks Prof Kevin & Liza 4 exposing these teachers that are not qualified to teach & also an ATTITUDE lol. They are making money from their viewers lol. They shld be responsible for their actions lol😅
@2:26 probably she wanted to say "i'm full but still need to eat more" as she's not a native speaker, she doesnt self-correct😃how self-confident these people are to say they teach how to speak American English like a native speaker🤓
This channel is very focus in mistakes. I think they never tried to learn any language.
Don't learn English from non native English speakers.
Thank you Kevin and Lisa.
To be honest, not the best conclusion.
There are some excellent non-native English teachers who overall teach the accurate language with only minor mistakes. Folks, I don't understand why you're so worried about making mistakes: they're a part of the process, right?
You can't do essentially anything without making mistakes. In my view, this is one of the most ignorant fears you could ever have as a non-native English speaker/writer.
I'm really looking forward to somebody pointing out to my mistakes in this reply.
I hope you're having a beautiful day, and remember: you can't progress without mistakes regardless of your level.
@@ArtemHahauz-nm7bkI can answer that - if I’m spending my time learning, memorising something - I want it to be correct. It’s like learning a multiplication table with mistakes. What’s the point? If I make some mistakes down the road, as a student, It’s ok, I’m in the process of learning. But I don’t want to learn inorrect English….or Maths for that matter.
Of course, I'm not saying you should learn from teachers who teach you the incorrect language: I'm just saying you should find some trusted teachers, even if they're non-native speakers, and learn with them even if you know they're making mistakes. However, they shouldn't teach you the incorrect grammar/ vocabulary etc; it's perfectly normal for them, though, to make mistakes while just speaking.
They're non-natives like you and me.
Keep that in mind.
Overall, I agree with you.
@@MiStuSia16
@@ArtemHahauz-nm7bk There’s no problem in making mistakes when learning English! I 100% agree with you, we can’t learn otherwise. We have to use the language, and therefore make mistakes, ask other people to correct us. It’s a process. BUT when you’re teaching English, especially if you have such a big platform, I think It’s unfair to the people who trust you and look up to you as their teacher/mentor. I don’t want to learn incorrect English and then make mistakes myself while being confident that it must be correct because I’ve learnt it from a professional. These are two totally different circumstances. A teacher and a student. Especially a teacher with so many online viewers-students - the damage they make is multiplied.
@@ArtemHahauz-nm7bk Your English is really great, but in the sentence "I'm really looking forward to somebody pointing out to my mistakes in this reply," the preposition "to" is unnecessary. On the subject, I think it's perfectly fine to learn English from a non-native speaker, except for three things: pronunciation, idiomatic usage, and cultural nuances.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤……..💕
2:22 i think she just forgot to add NOT. As in: I'm not really hungry but I still feel like eating (considering she's eating cakes😅)
A rip off-a bad deal😢
OMG Russian girls teaching us English. Hawk tuha on English girls😂
Lisa from this channel is also Russian/Ukrainian
It's because Americans think it's wrong to criticize non-native speakers , I think :p
I'm hungry but I still need to eat more.😂 It doesn't make sense in any language. That is why I don't learn English. They are UA-camrs not teachers 😂😂
Vanessa deleted my comment lol on her video, coz I’ve listed all teachers that deserve to be recommended coz Vanessa is biased lol
Only the Spanish language is spelled like it's pronounced.
# Spanish is a phonetc language.
Why on earth do non-native speakers make UA-cam channels to teach a language they are still learning?
I think she ,Ariana la gringa, wanted the she was full but she needed to eat more. Or sth like that. Not sure, i couldnt catch it either.
Definitely, she doesn't know what she's trying to mean or she doesn't know how to say it, whatever.
"I'm hungry BUT I still need to eat more"
(It doesn't make any sense at all, the word "BUT" doesn't fit there).
The correct expressions should be;
# "I'm hungry, therefore, I need to eat".
Or.
# "I'm hungry AND I need to eat"
Or.
# "I'm STILL hungry and I need to eat more"
Or.
# "I'm STILL hungry THEREFORE, I need to eat more".
Well, this is the way I see it.
