So let me get this straight. You have... Xenomorphs - An invasive species that forcibly rips out of your chest. Pazuzu - A demon that possessed the body of a girl, m*********d with a cross as said girl, and was only killed when one of the priests had to sacrifice himself. Chernabog - A demon who's evil just for the sake of being evil Jaws - based off an animal that can actually kill or injure you in real life Freddy Krueger - A serial killer who murders people in their dreams Leatherface - Part of The Sawyer family, a group of cannibals who goes around murdering and butchering people. Not to mention flays the victims faces off to wear as a mask. Pennywise - An entity who takes on different forms based on people's fears, with the clown only being the go-to form. Jigsaw - A hypocritical serial killer who puts people in traps that brutally kill them and morally grandstands when he feels like it. Hannibal Lecter - A cannibal who's intelligent enough to break out of a high security prison and has to be confronted in order to stop another serial killer. Jack Torrence - A father who goes insane from boredom and was influenced by spirits in the Hotel to kill his wife and child. The Thing - An abomination who could mimic anything and anyone. Plus, it has no distinct look to it. Bughuul - A demon who influences children into killing their family while recording their gruesome deaths. The Death Angels - Creatures that are hypersensitive to sound that they can hear the smallest noise and will kill you. Pyramid Head - A representation of James Sunderland's darkest thoughts and tendencies. And yet the purple teddy bear from Toy Story 3 is more nightmare fuel than all of those. Yeah that adds up.

I think if any of these guys saw a Terrifier movie they’d just implode Also saying Joker from BTAS is scarier than the one that wears his own face Leatherface style is hilarious
The way they talk about Giygas feels like it's downplaying how terrifying he actually is. The reason he's considered nightmare fuel is because of his unnerving presence. His lair looks like throbbing intestines, Ness' face suddenly grows in the Devil's Machine, Giygas himself basically has infinite HP. Even when you come face to face you still have no idea what he is. When he attacks, the game says "You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas' attack." Giygas is an entity that represents childhood trauma. How did he get that way after the first game? No one knows, but that doesn't matter. I feel like I'm going on the same autistic banter as these jokers at SOK (I'm autistic too, dw), but i hope i explained it better than they did
Your "autistic rambling" (if you are autistic) is justified, and more informative. And it's not putting villains that aren't scary in this list and comparing everything to modern Family Guy for no reason
No no you are right. They just coldly listed off his backstory and surface level stuff when what made him scary was much more psychological. The fact that your characters can't do anything but pray despite being at a JRPG endgame power level and can't even comprehend what they are fighting is what really makes Gigyas stand out as a creepy battle.

Mother nerd in me was screaming how short they were selling it but as a user pointed out I notice how basic their descriptions were or like the first entry and a few others they explain what the character did not it had nothing to do with why it should be creepy or disturbing.
DED6 made a top 10 worst villains video where he lists the final boss of No More Heroes 2, and he thinks the character is out of place because the rest of the game is “serious”, which couldn’t be farther from the truth. If he pretended that he played No More Heroes 2, he’s probably doing the same for other games. He mentions Pyramid Head but doesn’t say anything specific about him, so he could’ve just googled stuff and regurgitated it
DED6 did complain about a GOT character being worse than Peter Griffin for being a well written villian and doing bad things to other people. I'm sure that they do engage in media not made for kids, but they don't have the media literacy to understand it.
@@henrynelson9301also that entry was stolen from Joshscorcher’s video on Worst Bosses in Games, in which the final boss of NMH2 was on there. (Yes in the same video where he stole a line from Schaffrillas when he talked about the villain from Turbo during the section where DED6 ALSO talked about the villain from Turbo!)
Tamatoa is also a fan of JoJo and Puella Madoka Magica, and from that Surf's up 2 review video, it is implied that he also played Halo. Jurrasicverse also played some CoD Nazi Zombies on his channel. I think the only original thoughts DED6 added was assuming he’s out of place in a “serious” game, and comparing it to King Olly’s boss fight for no other reason than they both have three phases.

@thebrodator I was wondering from out of multiple different Horror movies characters like: Ghostface (Scream) Michael Myers (Halloween) Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street) Pennywise the dancing clown (IT) Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) Chucky (Child's Play) [which should have be number #10 instead of Lotso] Art the Clown (Terrifier) [Which should have been number #1] ect & horror game characters & yet they choose for number 10 a Teddy Bear instead of a evil Doll (Chucky)
Just rewatched Evil Dead 2 on Blu-Ray yesterday gosh that film is amazing, and so dang over the top I freaking love it. I really need to watch Re-Animator at some point it has been on my backlog for years probably going to pick it up on Blu-Ray in November. Jaws - based off an animal that can actually kill or injure you in real life
Freddy Krueger - A serial killer who murders people in their dreams
Leatherface - Part of The Sawyer family, a group of cannibals who goes around murdering and butchering people.

Never forget that DED6 has watched Game of Thrones. So we shouldn't discount the possibility of any of them playing a Resident Evil game.

Dr Storm. Thank you. Thank you for your hilarious commentary because without your wise words, I’d be in a coma from just listening to the Top 10 Nightmare fuel characters from SOK
Holy shit Radichu?
Didn’t even know you watched this guy
@@ItsYaBoiBow What can I say. He’s just hilarious
@@awesomeraichu59342 Watching anyone trash on the clowns of the internet will never not be hilarious
17:46 god whenever super origami kingdom rant about how much they don’t like gay people it never stops being funny lmao
Ok to be fair, this was only a tamatoa thing. I don’t think any other SOK user was ever homophobic
@@henrynelson9301 DED6 has accused the Piplup Omniking guy of homophobia in his callout video. I'm guessing only Tamatoagamingda in the homophobe
"I've got some children I need to make into corpses" sounds like a Hollywood elite quote.
I find the quote Bill says afterwards more horrifying.
“When I get my hands on you kids, I’m going to DISASSEMBLE YOUR MOLECULES!”
@@liammcnicholas918 yeah that shit gave me the chills.
did not expect to hear carl weezer talk about the horrors of the evil lotso huggybear
Playing Pumpkin Jack for the video in the background is very rad!
Also You should try out Akimbot, It's the same developers of The Pumpkin platformer game
Bruh, the terrifying level from A Hat in Time was RIGHT THERE. They could have actually picked a genuinely intense character that even adults were spooked by, but I guess these guys don’t play anything outside of Nintendo, Sonic games, and Undertale.
I can't believe there was no Lich on the list, those goddamn Philistines. Yeah I know Adventure Time is a kid's show but they cooked with a villain intended to be intimidating
His monologue from Escape to the Citadel, and the fact that the writers have a very important rule about him: “The Lich is *NOT* funny.”
This is like making a top 10 video game villains countdown and then putting the other paddle from pong as number one
Can't believe they did Freddy Krueger, The Thing and other horror icons dirty on this top 10 list
I can't believe we found people who are unironically scared of Memphis Tennessee.
Ok, who in the actual hell is scared by Lotso from Toy Story 3, like bro isn’t even meant to be a scary villain?
The Monkey from that same film was a hundred times scarier and yet he wasn't on here!
Definitely not me he's more of a manipulative dick rather than a scary monster. One scarier Disney villain for me that actually belongs on this list is from Something Wicked This Way Comes that being Mr. Dark this guy is really really terrifying.
THE SAME MEPHILES THAT WENT TO TILTED TOWERS!?!?!
25:23 I genuinely half expected them to put Porky on the list instead of Giygas. I legit thought that's what it all is building up to
The fact that some of the actual scary villains are in the honorable mentions makes me groan. Like seriously, Lotso over Other Mother?! Mephiles? Come on! I find the Knaarens from Rayman 3 to be scarier than him
And Antasma over the shroobs from partners in time, what were they thinking?
Let's see besides the fact that no horror movie villains are on this list I'm surprised there's no kids horror villains on here from kids horror films.
Like say
Oogie Boogie
The Other Mother
Mr. Dark
The Monster House
The evil dude from Corpse Bride
The Wheelers from Return to Oz
The Cat Creatures from Scooby Doo on Zombie Island
The Ghost Girl from Paranorman
@@NickTangeman-ge4usisn’t mr.dark from rayman?
I wonder how these people would react to Perfect Blue
They'll be speechless on how f'ed up that movie is
As soon as I heard switch online I had Whiplash
"what time period were these 2007 videos made again"?
Because it's Origami Universe, I can't tell when Aster/DED6 says that 'Antasma is part Black Hat' does he actually think Antasma was inspired by Black Hat when Villainous came years after M&L Dream Team or not?
Considering the batshit crazy(Haha) things other SOU Members have said, I wouldn't put it pass him
dude i was sitting here after the joker segment about to type out an autism-fueled rant about why in gods name they didnt pick scarecrow from the new adventures as their animated batman villain THEN THEY HAVE THE GALL TO BRING UP ARKHAM KNIGHT CRANE LIKE AAAAAAAAA
My own hyperfixation with the character aside i dont even think they watched the cartoon 😭😭 like HOW
@@smarmalade5938 even other Batman villains are more terrifying than the freaking clown prince of crime!
@Mr.Feather130 YEAH LIKE LEGIT SCARECROW IS LITERALLY THE "MASTER OF FEAR" BEING LITERAL NIGHTMARE FUEL IS LIKE HIS WHOLE THING
another one crossed my mind but honestly i dont think these poor guys would recover if they found out about professor pyg LOL
@@smarmalade5938 oh god professor pyg,a very controversial batman villain because of how messed up the guy is
The word “scare” is literally in his name.
@@liammcnicholas918 yeah and the embodiment of fear
My favorite part of the honorable mentions you didn’t bring up, is when they put in leatherface, and show a scene of him cutting someone’s head off. It’s so hilariously out of place and it caught me off guard
What kills me about this list is that they DO know horror, they put ACTUAL HORROR CHARACTERS in honorable mentions, and yet somehow they still put Mephiles at the half way mark on the actual list then any of them 😭
19:55
As a big Sonic fan, I can relate heavy to your reaction here, LMFAO. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I'm kinda shocked at how many people say Mephilies is a good villain, when hes actually a huge fucking dork for a good chunk of the runtime.
Silver literally believes him on a baseless lie 😭
And the end from Sonic Frontiers and dark gaia from Sonic unleashed are more scarier than mephiles
@@james656-k8e Yeah and possibly one of the most memorable sonic final bosses ever
Hell, even Gerald Robotnik was creepier than that scrub
It's quite telling that the villains shown in the countdown transitions/honorable mentions fit the criteria more than all the Nintendo characters they've lumped onto here.
Also, this might be one of the few SOK videos where they aren't screaming their heads off over a single scene for six minutes.
Pissed myself when Bill showed up
That time in school when I split my pants open and had to hide it from everyone until lunch was scarier than most of the villains on this list.
Is it because you're dummy thicc?
Is it because you're rather dumpy and chunky?
@@piedpiper4440 is it because your glutes are too beeg?
I love that every Villain they use to show the next number is without fail more scary then the villain they all pick to use.
You can just tell which entries are things they’ve never seen/played. It’s hilarious.
I have a new name for the honorable mentions, the list of villains that they looked up on the internet and are somehow less scary and inferior compared to Lots-o-Hugging Bear
As a Mephiles fan I'm shocked he's on this list (Not really, it's a list made by manchildren after all, the whole thing is the equivalent of the Spongebob rollercoaster meme), even when I was a child I didn't find Mephiles scary at all, spine-chilling maybe but not scary, I find him more cool than anything, as shoddily written as he is like the rest of the game
Edit: NO WAY THE JOKER FROM THE ANIMATED SERIES IS HERE INSTEAD OF ANY OTHER ITERATION LMAO
I didn't come to this list with many expectations given it's from the SOK folks, but even looking at this as a list of scary villains from non-horror media this is pretty terrible, knowing them I'm surprised they didn't put Bowser in the list
No love on TDK joker despite how iconic he is in the film
